Benderland auctioning off navy (CLOSED)

Since it was never used at all, and they're now obsolete to us due to advanced technology, Benderland is auctioning off its navy:

5 Nimitz class carriers
10 Iowa class battleships
10 Ticonderoga Class cruisers
2000 tomahawk cruise missiles (standard, non-nuclear warheads)
8 Los Angeles class attack subs
10 Oscar II Class missile subs
20 Arleigh Burke class destroyers

All ships come fully loaded, minus crews and rations. Bidding starts at $125 billion.

If you need stats, look them up yourself because I want these things gone.

how much for the destroyers?
Benderland
11-11-2003, 01:51
I'm auctioning off the entire thing.
CoreWorlds

That's too much, :(. I only need a couple destroyers and a cruiser. That's 3 ships, BTW.

Thanks for the math lesson, I really needed it.

Also, this is about what this navy is worth.

All right. I guess i'll leave without the ships. *sniff*

Although we will probably never use them (like you,) its nice to have shiny little navies and a good place to employ people whenever necessary.

We will open up the bidding then with 125 billion!
Benderland
11-11-2003, 02:04
I guess people don't like navies.

I guess people don't like navies.

They do like "low" starting auction prices though.
Benderland
11-11-2003, 02:06
If I went any lower, I'd practically be giving them away.

True, but most folks look for bargains.
Benderland
11-11-2003, 02:13
Whatever. If Esamopia wants it for... $100 bil, he can have it.
11-11-2003, 02:23
i'll take some, no wait, all of it, for 1,000,000,001 so there
Benderland

Except you're $98,999,999,999 below the asking price.

Hey, when I was on earth I used my navy all the time!

Except for the fact that it was mostly Patrol Boats, Corvettes, and Desiel-Electric Subs with a smattering of hovercrafts and WIG planes. Good times, good times.

Can I have them for 125 Billion if no one else makes a serious offer... and can I suggest that the minimum bid increase be something like 5 Billion?
11-11-2003, 03:50
I'll take the navy for 150 Billion
Benderland
11-11-2003, 03:53
Up to 150 bil now? Hm.
11-11-2003, 03:57
155 billion - I'm ressurected and I actually need a bigger navy
11-11-2003, 04:00
160bill

160bill

You can't afford it. Bid stands at 155 bil from Remiesia
11-11-2003, 04:02
I'll to go to 165 billion anyway.

*I raked in 125 billion a couple of days ago through the sale of my CIWS to Artista....I've spent about half of it*
11-11-2003, 04:09
I'd bid, but since Remiesia has an arms dealership to rake in cash and has a national budget that is twenty times higher then mine, I just won't bother. Otherwise, rest assured I would bid.
11-11-2003, 04:11
Lol Tokarev...actually I have 3 storefronts :P

If I win you can have the Oscars :D
11-11-2003, 04:16
Three? Oh yeah! Well I'm a valued customer, so the power is mine! .... I'll go now ...

Unfortunately, your country cannot even contribute half of the starting bid.

11-11-2003, 04:52
Is 165 billion the final bid?

listen, if they ARE obsolete which you said, it wouldn't be considered giving them away if you lowered the price.

They're obsolete for me. Not for modern nations.

*you're killing me here...*

Going twice...

SOLD for $165 billion. The ships will be on their way once payment is wired.
11-11-2003, 05:12
Congrats Remesia. Check your t-grams please
11-11-2003, 05:13
Suh-weet!

*Taps into the "I sell lots and lots of stuff" fund and couples that with the "massive order for Vanguard" fund...*

$165 billion on the way :D
11-11-2003, 05:15
TC: I did....I responded to your initial offer and the only other thing I have from you is a correction on a pic.
11-11-2003, 05:17
You sure? About 5 mins. before the correction there should have been a message giving stats on the TM260A1 and the E1A2.

Doncha love telegram/forum tag?

*Sorry for thread hijacking, Benderland. But since the auction's over, I figure it's OK.
11-11-2003, 05:22
Nope, didn't get it.

Everyone's confused! Waaughhh!
11-11-2003, 05:28
$%&%^$^%!! That took a while to type, too!

I betcha I closed the window without sending the original message. That would be just like me. I had about 4 windows opening and closing as needed as I was writing the original t-gram. I'll resend a new TG with the basic specs in a minute or so.

This is why we need a 'save tg' feature, and maybe an outbox too, in case stuff gets lost. Bah, like that'll ever happen!
11-11-2003, 05:46
TG sent.
11-11-2003, 06:45
*bump*
new TG's have been sent
11-11-2003, 06:50
I've got a pair from about 55 minutes ago describing two weapons.

Good enough. I'm hitting the sack. I'll put 'em up in the infantry weapons shop in a special section tomorrow
11-11-2003, 06:57
G'night. I didn't realize how late it is. Almost 1AM eastern. $^%$!!!
