The Advanced Strike Fighter (ASF) is a multi-role stealthy strike fighter optimized for the air-to-ground role, designed to affordably meet the needs of the Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps, with improved survivability, precision engagement capability, the mobility necessary for future joint operations and the reduced life cycle costs.

A notable design feature of this aircraft is the enhanced survivability. The cockpit is armor protected and pushrods are used in preference to cables for the flying control surfaces. The load bearing members are strengthened. The engines are widely separated and a 10 mm thick firewall is installed between them. The explosive resistant fuel tanks are filled with reticulated foam.

The aircraft has an all-welded 30 mm titanium alloy cockpit with transparent windscreen armor block to protect the pilot and is equipped with a single K-36L Zvezda ejection seat.

Cooling air is introduced at the end of the tailcone to reduce the temperature of the exhaust gasses and minimize the infrared signature of the aircraft.

The aircraft has a carrier-suitable tailhook. Its landing gear has a longer stroke and higher load capacity.

Survivability: radio frequency/infrared signature reduction and on-board countermeasures to survive in the future battlefield.

Lethality: integration of on- and off-board sensors to enhance delivery of current and future precision weapons

Supportability: reduced logistics footprint and increased sortie generation rate to provide more combat power earlier in theater

Affordability: focus on reducing cost of developing, procuring and owning ASF to provide adequate force structure

"FireFly"Advanced Towed Decoys: These are mounted in two dispensers in the fighter's tail with two decoys in the dispenser on either wing. These drones are dragged about 328 feet (100 meters) behind the aircraft on a thin cable. Each is a specially designed radar lure that creates a radar image to mimic the aircraft. The decoy has a special jammer that is designed to decoy missiles that have been programmed to home on jamming signals. If decoys are not destroyed, they can be recovered and repaired.

ASF’s integrated avionics and stealth are intended to allow it to penetrate surface-to-air missile defenses to destroy targets, when enabled by air dominance. The ASF is designed to complement a force structure that includes other stealthy and non-stealthy fighters, bombers, and reconnaissance / surveillance assets.


The cockpit interior lighting is fully Night Vision Goggle (NVG) compatible, as is the exterior lighting. The cockpit panels feature extended life, self-balancing, electro luminescent (EL) edge-lit panels with an integral life-limiting circuit that runs the lights at the correct power setting throughout their life. It starts at one-half power and gradually increases the power output to insure consistent panel light intensity over time. As a result, the cockpit always presents a well-balanced lighting system to the pilot (there is not a mottled look in the cockpit). The panels produce low amounts of heat and power and are very reliable.

The aircraft also has integral position and anti-collision lights (including strobes) on the wings. The low voltage electro luminescent formation lights are located at critical positions for night flight operations on the aircraft (on the forward fuselage (both sides) under the chine, on the tip of the upper left and right wings, and on the outside of both vertical stabilizers. There are similar air refueling lights on the butterfly doors that cover the air refueling receptacle.

This aircraft packs state of the art sensors and communications equipment. Among it's many features is an enhanced radar system that can track up to 128 targets simultaneously out to a range of 250 miles (400 km). Any targets acquired by the radar are fed into the vehicle's targeting computers
the aircraft can fire missiles at up to 15 targets at the same time. It is also capable of Terrain Following for low altitude flight.


Stealth:
Radar Absorbing Material is covering the entire fuselage of the za-41. This material is made to absorb and kill radio waves instead of reflect
them.
the over-all shape of the aircraft has angles to it that scrambles the radar all over, everywhere but back to the radar's origin.
it also has special horizontal stabilizers located on the aft part of the aircraft. These stabilizers help evenly distribute the lift of the aircraft so that moisture Contrails are avoidable.

I'd buy some if it was actually possible to build a stealthy, mach 4 aircraft able to carry enough of a payload to be useful as a ground attack plane. But whatever...

I'm gonna have to agree with Soviet on this one, while I would like to purchase these, they seem too good to be true. The planes I build can only go mach-4 with the use of a friction reducing cold plasma screen, and they can't attack while using it to boot, plus they are very unstealthy and cost $5 mil more.....

it loses its stealth when it goes mach 4 of course, i use Pulse Detonation Engines, pulse engines were already used in ww2 by the germans so yeah STFUKTHX.

If anyones not sure that a mach4 engine/plane is possible think about the Pratt and Whitney J58. Two engines In a Blackbird drives it up to mach3.2. This engine started development in the 1950’s for the US navy. Its now about 50 years later, To my knowledge there is no mach4 engine or plane around, although the USAAF probably has one close to this speed. A mach4 engine has been announced to have been started to be developed. So why not have one secretly?(i recon a mach6 plane/ engine is possible with a lot of research in around 5 years, but then im no expert.
