I intend to develop a Giant Robotic Infantry Machine or GRIM for short, based on this matrix machine.
My question to you nationstaters is anyone using this yet?
My version will have an enclosed pilot & not an exposed one like in the movie :P
allthough i have yet to see the movie, if you build and sell it, i would be interested in buying a few.

Not sure about sale of the final product (maybe the protype version you can see).
Who cares if anyone is using it?
Its not supposed to be "I saw it first so I have exclusive rights"
If you use and someone else is already that too bad! Same thing if someone else uses it or sells it later

Bah the APU's such mightily, no armor and no decent targeting system (in evidence).
What you really want is a jagermech with LB-X auto cannons or rotary auto cannons.
Oh yeah and a nice armoured resupply vehcile (like my packmule) would be rahter nice.

Check your TG...you already have a share in it mate. (follow the link in this post.)
Honestly though... why would anyone want to use those things? Besides looking cool, what does it have? With that technology, you could build a cheaper, faster, more maneuverable, better armored, more reliable, remote-controlled, better armed tank. If that thing's out in the open it will get smashed by aircraft fire. If it's in areas where there is some cover, it's too big to really hide from planes and not maneuverable or armored enough to avoid getting taken down by a platoon of soldiers with RPGs.
Its smaller than a tank, and more manuverable as a biped system would allow it into areas that a tank would not be able to fit through. Yes it would be an easy target to aircraft, by and large, so are tanks. It would most likely fall into a heavy infantry suport weapon, allowing you to give your troops that extra punch, and as for being meat to infantry, it would depend on who got the drop on whom. If the Mech were ambushed, yes, it would be torn to ribons, if it was the ambusher, it would have the firepower to completly annihilate the platoon. Remember, there are not many nations foolish enough to specialize to the point where they have an entire platoon of RPGs, most have a single RPG for the rouge tank, if anything. What happens to that same platoon of RPGs when they hit a normal platoon with rapid fire assault rifles? I don't think it would be too large to hide in a thick forested area, most trees are much higher than the 8-9 feet this marks itself to be. It would also be well used in Special Ops where a tank is simply too large to bring in, but heavy firepower and speed are needed.

You know, the APU looks more like a Stormcrow to me.
Note: Those who don't know Battletech won't understand.

Dude, that movie is the best ever. But I don't intend to use it, but would it be OK if I used built something similar?

Well I'm making them because the majority of my nation is rainforest, hills and mountains covered by forest, we don't have roads per say so a tank would have trouble travelling within my nation. The trees of my nation are way bigger than this unit will be, plus the picture shows only the prototype (Follow the link provided eairlier for more info).

Well, I find those machines bulky, unwieldy and hard to use. It seems as if the pilots were struggling to pilot them...
1 well placed RPG would take it out.

yeah,
a 5m pop nation with 30 year old equipment could take it out,
its not worth building.
1 RPG!!!!
think about having a 5m strong army attack you.
also they could be ambushed and would be prety helpless.

Oh, and don't forget the pilots are not protected from anything. I suggest that if you do wish to produce this machine, you should give the pilots protection and improve the piloting system.
Anyway, I'm sure you're gonna improve on them anyway.

Ah, the specs for the finalised APU are good, and also improved from the original.
