AMF News Update

A letter was recently found in a stack of files that were scheduled to be burned. The letter was sent to a local news station, who then read the letter on the air. The letter was worn and faded, but here's what we've managed to save:

The world has abandoned us. We stand alone agai---<illegible>, and it sickens me. It makes me physically ill to hear that most of our allies have deserted us. These fair-weather friends of ours will one day see the error of their ways, but unfortunatly for them it will be too late. The Light and Good that Freeks once fought, bled, and died for has turned it's back on us. For far too long, AMF has been a tool of the "Good", and they have used us for their own personal agendas for the last time.
We have fought numerous wars, including two World Wars for their ideals. We fought and suffered so that they could feel safe against the "Evil" nations of the world. And how do they repay us, with their mistrust, their abuse, their ridicule? I will tell you this mu--<illegible>, and it's going to fucking change now. No more will we be a slave to their testament, no more will we do thier dirty work. The only ones that still trust and respect us are the ones that have stood beside us since the beginning. Personally, I will not send another Freek to die in some crusade of theirs. I will not send another Freek to bleed and die for them when they spit all over us. <illegible>
Curse them, curse them all and their hypocritical ways. They gained our trust only to destroy it and ridicule us. They laughed and pretended to be on our side when they knew damn well that they were playing us. Well no more, the Light has betrayed us. They have created wounds that will not soon be healed. Damn them all.....I am no longer going to do what THEY want, I'm going to do...what I want!!!

It is unknown who the recipient of the letter is, but we will break in with updates as they happen. This has been an AMF News update.

AMF News Update

We have unofficial confirmation that the letter was supposed to be sent to Bastien the Bronze of Pantera. It is pure speculation at this point, but inside sources are saying that this is who the letter was addressed to.

Jace had been following these AMF New Updates since it had been brough to his attention, and it was certainly disturbing that such an apparently tyrannic faction could build movement within a nation...it seemed that if this new faction, if it gained any sort of power, would lead to a civil war across Automagfreek...
He considered weither to get on the phone with the leader of Automagfreek and see what was going down, but he decided to hold his silence for a bit longer and see what happened...

An aide walks into Jace's office carrying a peice of a paper, amrkings suggest an intelligence report, which he promptly hands to Jace who begins reading it...
"Ahuh, ahuh, ahuh, ah, I was just wondering what the leader of Automagfreek was called, well, ya live and learn..."

"Hang on, back it up a minute, I just thought that this was some phycopath forming a terrorist cell, your telling me this that letter was written by the leader of Automagfreek himself?!, and he has addressed this to another nation, refering to himself as 'Loyal'?".

"Right, pull me up an intelligence report on this nation Pantera, and call the military cabnet for a meeting..."

Damien sat in his chair listening to the news. He was infuriated that his letter to Bastien was made public. There was only one thing he could do now, set the record straight.

--Press Conference--

Good evening. It has come to my attention that a letter written by me addressed to Bastien the Bronze of Pantera was made public. Let me start off by saying that everything I said in the letter is true. The people of AMF need to know that the world is doing to us. We have been shit on for far too long, and I cannot see it happen to another Freek ever again. I have come here to say that it is my decision that all former ties to every nation, with some exceptions, are to be broken immediatly. The nations that we wish to further associate ourselves with are:

The Eastern Bloc, Aequatio, Neo-Wu, Pantera, and Sniper Country. These are our closest friends who through thick and thin have stuck by us, and for that we are eternally grateful. As for the rest of the nations in the world, to hell with you all. We are the fallen, we are The Caducus.

With that, Damien walked away from the conference.

Premier Bomfy sat at his desk, now an aged man, he remembered back in the days of real wars and real alliances like the friendship between him and Kaye of Automagfreek and the alliances of old. But those days were long gone, and Bomfy felt old... like a dinosaur not belonging in this time. Times had changed, and unfortunately, Bomfy had not.

Deputy Premier Kate Juno walked in, reading a copy of the letter.

"It's all true, the Freeks have given the world so much... and not once were they ever re-payed, " said Bomfy, looking up from his desk, "I'm beginning to think the same way as Lord Dreadfire, that maybe fighting for the 'Good' isn't worth it."

"How can you say that, Sir?" asked Kate, "Look at all the nations and people our Armed Forces have saved over the years, all the wars and conflicts."

"And look at the thanks we get for our compassion, no recognition, no rewards... We are a country of forgotten heros, no one even knows of the nations we protect now within our own region," explained Bomfy.

"Well Sir, you know that any decision you make... we will trust, since you've known best since the very beginning."

"I'm not so sure I have that wisdom anymore..."

Jace paced back and forth in his office debating the whole issue, it was one of those times when something should be said but then again we something shouldn't be said...
He considered a phone call, but he did not wish to aggrevate this apparently stressed goverment even more...not with Jacian held Switzerland just a stonethrow from Greece...
In the end he decided he would send a letter of acknowlagement, at least if chances of relations with Automagfreak where eternally ruined, he at least wanted to assure they where not enemies...

I do not beleive our two goverments have had contact since the last Russian Forces/ADK war dragged the Mediterainian into total conflict, but judging by your statement it was probably for the better...
I have to admit, this isn't the first time I've been told to go to hell, but I can diffinately agree with you however, as there are few goverments out there they don't have there own personal agenda in mind, and attempt to exploit whoever possible to achive it, especially the younger nation, always trying to leach power off larger nations because they are so pathectically insignificate themselfs, and amoung that, we too have been shunned by others in our time of need, no one so much as lifted a finger when the manicle Puddists ransacked our glorious region, even today it bares the scares of those grim days, and yet they have the hind to come knocking on our doorstep should they face even the slightest problem...
We do, however, with a mutual understanding, respect your desision, and assure you that the Armed Republic of Jace will not interfere with the current or future affairs of Automagfreak, and hearby closes boarders with Greece, with this letter to be considered the last offical contact between our two goverments, we bid you farewell.

While we are not surprised that you do not consider us close friends, it is a bit surprising that you are so upset with us. When have we ever used you and your people? I must note with extreme displeasure the rather... childish actions of AMF as of late. Although it is undisputed that AMF is one of the greatest RPers of NS (just look at how he introduced this topic for instance!,) I must protest this continued whining... ever since the day that AMF announced it would leave forever things have not been quite the same.

I doubt that my condemnation will either sway anyone or make the situation better, but since AMF wishes to close contact to the world (well most of it,) I doubt that this will create more problems than those already present.

Perhaps the best question we should ask is: "Why is AMF doing this?" or "How can we make AMF feel better?" I usually avoid or miss out on the conflicts and issues that AMF takes part in (although I read them avidly when there is time,) so I do not know what is troubling that poor nation, but I hope that whoever out there who knows more about this to respond and keep AMF from either an IC world conflict (which will end with its utter and complete devestation and humiliation,) or leaving NS forever (which would be a sad day for RPers everywhere.)

OOC: Erm...you're making the mistake of confusing OOC and IC feelings. OOC wise, I'm perfectly fine, whereas IC wise....well, AMF is scarred. Even though I ignored the "EOTED" incident, nations have been jumping ship on AMF, and I can't help if Damien feels bitter about it.

Of course I'm staying, but AMF is changing gears (you may be asking why I keep refering to myself in 3rd person. I do that to seperate my IC self from my OOC self). Again, my OOC feelings have little effect on my IC feelings.
