Neoluna Needs a Defense Force
Neoluna was going to be a near miss asteroid a little more than 100km in diameter when scientist decided to slow it into a stable orbit around earth.
60 years later it's the site of a new independant nation, a self sustained colony supported by international industrial, material, aerospace and biomedical research contracts as well as a booming tourism department. Population on the rock, extended facilities and on assignments or missions can be attained from clicking on the Neoluna link to the left.
It has however been brought to our attention in 2 pirate attacks and one terrorist attemp to destroy our nation that we are at risk from more agressive megacorporations and nations that would like to pull a hostile takeover if they could and we are not prepared to defend ourselves at the moment. We are proposing an orbital Aerospace show of sorts where defense contractors can make us offers. We have several systems in the works but they are not ready for production and active duty yet - what we need are production ready designs and proven systems.
Here is what we are interested in:
1 - Capital ships capable of supporting our aerospace transportation industries and capable of defending our colony and missions in space.
2 - A Large Self-suficient Carrier with its own manufaturing array capable of industrial output of aerospace transports and the maintenence of hundreds of space craft - on the same functional level as our attached orbital shipyards - it would double as a mobile shipyards and base of ops of an Orbital Guard.
3 - Aerospace superiority fighter designs & Multirole Aerospace fighters designs
We are offering the selected defense contractors an initial 220 billion dolars with a secure 17 billion dolar a year buisness for the next 5 years

As far as you need it to go....Ok about six months without being resupplied. It operates normally near planetary bodies, but in the atmosphere i'm not sure about, we use them primarily in deep space.
Its just too much for a corvette that we dont think can do everything you say it can.

How can we procure a sample for experiments with data on nanite methods for replication of Chlorophusion - or does this purple stuff grow on trees? We have been eperimenting with Direct Neural Interfacing, I supose a nanite AI Tranciever would make that obsolete in a hurry - we will welcome your arival, our scientist are looking foward to meeting yours.
How long would it take you to assemble a demonstrative task force at Neoluna - we believe your dropships can double as transports and defense platforms even if they are really small.
To everyone else I supose I shouldve been a lil more precise the subject is decieving - we are not exactly looking for a defense force - we are looking for the Hardware to outfit our defense force with. And after that priority one issue we are interested in all scientific research that will further our mission of exploration in space. After securing our position here with a new orbital guard and completly eliminate space piracy and terrorism we will return to our original charter of exploration and science.

Most of these weapons are experimental and have been jury rigged to work off of taxed power systems we have a few truely integrated designs on the drawing board but they wont be ready for production for a while. Which brings us back to our 305 billion credit /5y contract for real hardware. If we dont have something you like maybe we can part with some of this emergency funding for this purpose - but without scientific review of a sample - our engineers may not know how to incorporate this technology into our systems. So once again until we have a demonstration and know we can use Chlorophusion or if your dropship will be useful we can offer you no contract.

Primarily we are looking for a Super Capital Ship capable of mass production of robotic - capital class ships.
Secondary we are looking for a proven frigate or criuser design for escort and suport duty of interplanetary and orbital missions. The aproved ships would also need to double as mobile defense platforms at Neoluna in the event of another attack. It'll have to be cheap but effective design - a fast weapons platform capable of keeping up with interplanetary missions and putting down raider attacks on the spot.

Its no longer a matter of what we can or cannot afford - this is what we need and what we are now designing a new shipyards for.
Nothing we've seen so far will without a doubt put these pirates completely out of buisness. We've improvised recalling half of our transport fleet for upgrades we've also called home all of our exploration cruisers in fear of a terror attack or pirate raid. Our exploration mission will continue when we can do so safely.
Until then we are at war within our region - hopefully our investigations and intellegence will turn up with the people responsible so we can turn up the heat. There are two Nations in our region which may be suporting these illegal groups. We want to cover all bases before searching with more agressive tactics.

We are getting some aid now from our trade partner 01
they sent 100 manufacturing units to aid in our recontruction and production projects. We should be able to get this defense grid online by tonight and can then work on upgrading our remaining exploration cruisers. We then plan on getting to work on a new shipyard facility which will be able to handle the construction of larger capitalships including dedicated warship designs still currently on the drawing board.

Yes, we are indeed sending a hundred heavy duty manufacturing units to Neoluna, in exchange for their stoppage of reseach into EMP based weaponry. As you may suspect, we consider the possion of these weapons to be more of a threat to us them nuclear missiles, and will act accordingly to anyone attempting to procure them. We are reasonable, however, and so have made this arrangement to benifit us both. The manufactureing units are essentially self-contained factories, capable of all sorts of heavy construction, as well as limited on-board fabrication. In addition, we have sold a micro-fusion reactor to Neoluna, along with the requiste blueprints to contruct both a standard and semi-portable micro nuclear fusion reactors. The construction units are only on loan, however, untillNeoluna's capital ship project is complete. We have estimated that by using these units, the production time will be cut by a full quarter, and over three billion Menelmacari credits stand to be saved. Thank you.

We are very enthused to have the oppurtunity to develop a solidstate compact microfusion based power generation system - we will no doubt be able to mount it on even smaller vessels giving them the ranges and durability that is only enjoy by heavyier designs.
We are working on incorporating this technology into a second generation Power Suite for zero gravity contruction and space exploration projects and an all new Combat Armor. We are also optimistic that we can integrate this new technology into aerospace and interplanetary technologies in the future.
One priority right now is a portable microfusion power system which is compatable by large with all of our most of our tech. because we are somewhat limited by our more expensive MDP cell integrated vapor core reators. They are slow to design and manufacture and expensive to fuel - this technology changes everything.
In return we have ceased all research into EMP systems - our weapons of choice continue to be high cailber hyper velocity balistics, newly developed directed magneto-plasma guns and tactical microfusion missles on proven vsi-mdp rocket systems.
We believe we are standing at the edge of a new era of prosperity and limitless possibilities in our future science and exploration programs with the aid of our new trade partner "01". Given time there will be nothing we cannot do - including ridding our region of terrorist and pirates.

The Cortez, Intrepid and Nomad have left dock with heavy modifications that will allow them not only to defend themselves but help aid in the elimination of the Pirate threat. Also out are 2 brandnew dedicated warships - the Cortez class was designed to be powerful, fast and mass produced - the Challenger and the Excaliber. The ships left under the escort of 720 Monitors(based on the heavy transport design - but built for patrol and escort functions) and a new Squadron of Aerospace Interceptors of which our New Cortez class Capital ships have the ability to manufacture on the fly.
We recently began construction of a largescafold/shipyards so we will be able to construct super capital class ships but this is a project, even with the help of 01's drones, will take a very long time to complete. By this time we should have the manufacturing techniques perfected for the construction of generation class carriers and colony ships - as well as a better warship design than the largely improvised Cortez Class.
We are looking foward to now agressivly seeking out and destroy Pirates and terror groups in our region.
