Military Production Plant Explodes: Nation Resorts to Drugs for Revenue

A wise man once said, "If a nation needs money, the will sell weaponry. Especially to the nations with the deep pockets,". With the recent explosion of one of our major military production plants, causing back orders up to 3 months in deleays, Commander of all Military actions; Dave Mendelson, has decided to legalise former illegal drugs.

At a recent interview on the news, Mr. Mendelson released this statement. "Think of it this way: if drugs such as marajuana, heroin etc.. are made legal, the government can control its use. Face it, no matter how much we say we are fighting a war on drugs, it still goes on. This way, the people get what they want, use is regulated, and the governement gains a profit. So, you see, its win-win."

After the recent illness of Channcelor Ben Dover, Menelson was appointed to lead the country in the right direction. From his hospital bed, Channcelor Dover says that Mendelson is doing a fine job. Our hopes are with the AIDs sufferer..

A shipment of your recently-legalized substances made a transfer at one of our post offices. It was detected by our drug-sniffing system in place and pulled out of line. Upon further inspection, it was sent to its proper destination. However, we do not wish to have any more packages of this kind routed through our country, put more caution into your courrier system. If another one ends up within our borders, it will be seized and destroyed. I sincerley hope you come to your senses and end the distribution of these substances in the near future. Dave Mendelson, very aware of Mr. Reeds situation, replied with this:
We are sorry that you do not agree with our way of increasing revenue. Please take note that as of now, this is our only way of keeping our country alive. Do I agree 100% with drug use? No. Of course not, but for now, it is a last resort.

That said, I will personally take the responsibility of our nations drugs. If any are to cross into your borders from the empire, you can hold me 100% accountable. I will be sure that no drugs ever get within 20 miles of your great nation.

I would not want to ruin the almost friendly bond that you were forming with Ben..[dover]

P.S.
Face it, no matter how much money you put into a war on drugs, it is still going to go on. I'm a realist and I know that. With my plan in play, all drugs are controled by the government. This means, its is grown, packaged and sold by the government. All purchased drugs are given a reciept for the ammount. They must carry this reciept at all times while using the drugs. If they do not have one, they are arrested. Any drugs that are not government grade [smuggled in, home grown etc..] are also arrested.
