PE Tests 124 Megaton Nuclear bomb

05-11-2003, 12:09
Many nation and press agencies have long suspected PE of developing something major in it's TOP SECRET PEA research area. A womabt news helicopter was shot down intruding the PEA research area killing all onboard.

Now it is clear what we have been working on, Nearby nations may have left the shock waves from it but they didn't know what it has until 3:35PE time when Military advisor Jackson Sparti annouced to the world that PE have created one monster of a nuke.

The 124Megaton beast was detonated just below the ground to minize radiation and damage spread. The test was a complete succes with the estimated blast being at 123.96Megatons.

2 more nukes of the same design have been made are although they can't be lauched via ICBM's a Mach 2.2 PEA heavy bomber can deliver then worldwide and even drop then while flying twice the speed of sound.

OOC:

Holy hell. A 124 megaton bomb.

OOC: How do you test the detonation of a 124megaton nuclear weapon 'just below the ground'? ;) :P

IC: "In response to the manufacturing of Pure Evil's 'one monster of a nuke', the Chairman of Vervun issued a statement today in which he applauded PE in furthering their nuclear deterrent program and taking a new step in scientific development. He does, though, dearly hops such weapons will only be used for deterrent, and never in anger."

OOC: You place it several meters below the ground and watch it work it's magic. Scientists to the calculations.

IC: We hope we don't have to use these weapons but it pushed we won't hesitate to have them launched.

IC: Naturally, as long as it is not you doing the 'pushing'. If that becomes the case, I fear the Commonwealth may have to become involved. Let us hope not, and instead hope that we may become allies, or in the least close friends.

OOC: What about seismic disruption caused by the detonation? Damage to the Earth's crust? I think it might need just a tad more than 'several' meters ;)

The nation of Ssakura, while complimenting you onj designing such a fine bomb, does not like to see weapons like this in the hands of any nation. But, since you seem decent enough, we would appreciate it if you didn't go on any rampages, or even use the nuke in an offensive state.

Thank you

Credonia supports the furtherment of nuclear weapons. We hope in the future we could pursue a joint venture in developing nuclear weapons of the future.

Wait a second...if they can be dropped while flying twice the speed of sound...you could pretty effectivly destroy a nation lacking SDI within minutes of initiation. GULP.

Heh, yep, Credonia will be developing some SDI and ABM defense systems in the coming days if you are interested in buying (if you have the patience to wait, im not sure when we will get them onto the storefront to sell yet)

Well..we're future tech. so it doesn't really matter. If yoiu fel like attacking us you'd have a problem with our SDI defenses. But, for other nations, this could present a problem.

yea, thats true, i guess there isnt really anything that could totally protect ya

Don't worry, as long as you don't attack me these are going your way.

If i did want to pass SDI defense i would put it in the back of truck and drive it into the country.

If you country is water locked, we will quickly develop a underwater truck to solve that problem.
