Failed assassination attempt on Emperor Krildahd Voramix!
On national newspapers everywhere:
The life of Scythirian Emperor, Krildahd Voramix, was endangered today while he delivered a speech to his citizens from his great palace balcony. A bullet from a distant rooftop sped toward the Emperor, grazing the skin of his temple and lodging itself in the head of a nearby guard instead. Immediately the Emperor was immediately pulled out of the open back into the safety of the palace. Aside from momentary shock and a small cut, Krildahd Voramix is okay.
The trajectory of the bullet was examined and judged to be fired from somewhere in the northern part of Scythirus' capital, Jihamed. The Emperor has ordered a full lockdown of the city and no one is to enter or leave it until the would be assassin is captured for questioning and punishment. While police forces and the Scythirian Guard march the streets, citizens remain wary of going outside.
We are responsible for the attack and are pleased of it, we are a fun loving people who like to kill supposedly royalty lines, those are quacks that need to be disposed of. We strongly do not like kings or any royalty therefore we ask that you pay us 50% tax on your GDP. or face total annhilation of your puny little race!
Emperor Krildahd Voramix drummed his fingers on the table in front of him while he stared at his highest officials gathered around the small, private room. A bandage was taped to the graze on his temple, blood visibly caked underneath. "So, what do you have to report?"
A general stepped forward, speaking in an informative tone. "A nation calling itself Kiosk has claimed responsibility for the attack and now demands a tax from us."
Krildahd raised a brow. "What are they? Idiots? Of course the answer will be NO! Find and capture that assassin, cut off his head, and send it to them with the word carved onto his brow!" He slammed his fist on the table. "No one makes such a ridiculous demand of Scythirus!!"
"Yes, Your Highness." The gathered men left the room, leaving the Emperor alone.
"Fools...."

Five Scythirian soldiers armed with Tabuk Assault Rifles approached the door of the assassin's hotel room. They were told it was the assassin's room, as one of the guests reported a man hiding something under a coat when he entered it.
With a battering ram, the soldiers bashed open the door and aimed their weapons at the shocked criminal inside. Indeed he had a sniping rifle sloppily hidden under the bed. The assassin was placed under arrest and taken to a military facility within Jihamed. There, he was swiftly executed and his head cut off and mailed to the government of Kiosk with "NO" carved on his brow.

we extend our deepest sympathys to the gaurd who was hit, and to his family. and we would also like to assist in what ever way we can, the people of Scythirus in this dark hour.
News reached the Foreign Office immediantly of the attempted assasination of the Scythirian Emperor, Krildahd Voramix.
Oblivious to the Scythirian authorities/intelligence, cries of happiness spread throughout the vast hall.
The Secretary of Defence called for Quiet.
"The job is only half done, the courageous Kioskians were valant in their attempt of intimidation, but now we will finish the job..."
*Later that night, groups of SVIA (South Victorian Intelligence Agency) operatives armed with mp5's, silenced DsK's and C4 explosives were spotted leaving a millitary instillation in the desert plains of the Western Territories, bound for the Scythirian capital: Jihamed.*
Catholic Europe

It is of no surprise to me that someone has tried to assassinate the ruler of Scythrius. Scytirus, under his rule, has long been a war-mongering country that sees themselves as higher than the rest. This was Gods punishment on a sinful nation.
Pope Alexander IX
Scythirian Information Minister Milhaud Karrakh shook his head as it rested in his hands after hearing the Pope of Catholic Europe's announcement. "He's just as idiotic as the last Pope. How many have they gone through in the last two decades?" He looked at a nearby military officer from his desk. The officer simply shrugged.
Milhaud sneered. "Defending one's nation from invaders is not war-mongering!" He began writing a speech for the afternoon declaring the Pope Alexander IX a fool and a simpleton just like his predecessors. The fools that Catholic Europe chose for its leaders made him sick.

Out in the desert as the South Victorian forces entered Scythirus, several of their groups triggered explosive land mines awaiting any invaders who dared challenge Scythirus' borders. Scythirus was not a fool nation that left its borders unguarded.
