The Imperial Army landed at Surrenta beach, on the far West Communist Likon coast. Under the cover of darkness, the ships pulled up to the sand, unloading, then retuning to the treep carriers packing the units on. The new King, Alexander I had been coronated yesteday after the death of his Father, and had been to continue the plan of attacking the old enemy, Communist Likon.
The landing took many hours. The destroyers who had accompanied the landing craft would now head back to Lipvinity to gather the aircraft carriers and extra trroops and take them back to Communist Likon to expand the invasion.
The 150,000 initital troops whom had landed with 124 artillery pieces were ordered to attack the small Port Town of Tigris, 40 kilometres to the South. Lipvin agents were already in the town, and were cuting the communication routes, the telephone, telegram wires and so on.
Slowly the Imperial army advanced on the town. Select groups secured all roads in and out of the town. The single destroyer who had remained, the FLAG covered the harbour and threatened any ships that tried to escape. The artillery rippedd through the town, taking the populace by suprise. After an hour of bombardment the Imperial Army marched into the center of the town, meeting no resistance. The troops took the civilians out of their homes and into the church on Silver street. Thousands of people were squished together, whan they would not all fit the soldiers took the older people outside and executed them to make more room.
Experts rigged bombs around the church in case of the worst scenario. Soon more troops, tanks, were pouring in and preperation for the putsch east to the Communist Likon capital Danube were made.
Yet unbeknowsnt to the commanders of the Imperial army, in the town center a clerk, named Arnold Deble sent an urgent email to the CL Army HQ. He warned them.

As General Theodore, the Conductor of Communist Likon, read the printed out e mail his face hardened. The report of the mudering of Communist Likon citizens was unacceptable. Slowly he made the decision that Lipvinity must be attacked and destroyed. He would once again take control of that nation. He rued the day he gave them back their independence.

"General!" He called to General Kitson, the head of the defence forces,"you know?"
"Yes sir"Replied Gen. Kitson.
"Good General, mobilise the army!"

With a nod kitson hurried out of the Conductors office. He walked two levels below and entered the his office and began to mobilise the Red Army. He also activated the IDF(Internal Defence Force) He knew that if he could Theodore would attempt to rescue the civilians trrapped in Tigris.

Within three hours advanced forces were marching to surround Tigris and contain the troops there.

The Red Army has been full mobilised and is shipping towards the Imperial armies position. General Theodore wishes for this war to be quick, decisive, and entail as few casualties as possible. Yet if the Imperialist nations insist to invadee Communist Likon, he will fight back.
He offers 1 day for any Imperial forces to pull out, except for Lipvinity, the execution of Communist Likon citizens is unacceptable. Either offer up your King, Commander in Chief, and the officer who ordered the execution, or we will be forced to conflict of the most griveous nature.

Offended by Theodore's offer His Royal Highness Alexander I announced to the nation a war of armeggedeon between the two nations, he will not stop until Communist Likon is destroyed and Theodore lies at his feet.

General Theodore wishes to remind Credonia that it is our nation under attack, not yours. By using nuclear weapons against eachother we have far less to lose than you.
Communist Likon does not wish to use it's Nuclear weapons, but if Credonia continues with its threats of nuclear war, General Theodore will have no choice but to launch our missiles against you, a situation he does not want.

Hearing off the enemy troops preparing to attack their position the Imperial Army sets up its artillery to attack the first thing it sees on the horizon.
All the streets of Tigris have been barriceded and the 1.7 million troops are preparing for the inevitable attack. Reinfocements are expecteed shortly, and at any attack the civilians are to be executed. Immediatley.

As the Panteran fleet arrives in Likon waters, numerous transports break away from the main battle group and head for allied shores. Thirty-thousand Reavers are soon ashore and securing what will be thier main LZ and supply point for the duration of the conflict. As the expeditionary force entrenches itself, some 100,000 Reavers disembark from various outlying Panteran provinces, all set at full sail for Likon.

In Pantera, the main force of Reavers departs from the city of Gade, close to 500,000 strong, they are protected by the bulk of Pantera's Waves of War, thier wartime fleet.

The many carriers numbering among the massive Panteran naval presence already in Likonic waters has extablished a no-fly zone over Panteran held spance, and will continue to expand this over the next few hours.

As yet, no action has been taken by Panteran forces, and it seems they await the orders of General Theodore before they commence thier assault upon enemy positions outside Communis Likon's borders.

Congressional leaders are worried that President Sutton is bitting off more than he can chew, however, they believe that reputation is of importance within the international community. We believe we must redeem ourselves from our failures of the past depite difficulty and amidst clear and present dangers. To Credonia we must say that we have every right to station our fleet in international waters. We had planned to engage in a large-scale military training excersize. Our fleet is not an indication of any desire of the peace-loving people of Edolia to strike at the people of Credonia. An attack upon our ships will be viewed as an unwarranted declaration of war and will be punished.

A large ground invasion force, including over 400,000 soldiers and some 5,000 B-1 Imperium unmanned main battle tanks is being assembled. Secretly, Edolian battle commanders are considering the possibility of dispatching the fleet currently stationed outside of Credonian waters into those of Tokarev.

As an ally of Communist Likon, the Five Civilized Nations denounces the aggression of other nations. The 5CN Navy, have sailed directly from the isle of Tortuga to participate in the defense of Communist Likon. Already, three of Barracuda Class SSNs have taken up positions to the west of Communist Likon to intercept any hostile vessels.

In the Citadel, the King has dispatched Grand Marshal Rayus Noventa to take charge of four field armies mobilizing in the Five Civilized Nations to support Communist Likon. Already, four Rapid Deployment Divisions, commanded by Lieutenant General Joshua Reynolds, have begun to proceed to Communist Likon.

In addition, the King demands that Credonia withdraw from this conflict. If Credonia does not withdraw from this senseless conflict, the Five Civilized Nations will have no qualms about obliterating your puny nation...

OOC: i know 7% is a lot, i purposefully set it that high back in the day due to the need for a more soldiers, as soon as we hit 60M, im lowering it to 5%, that was my plan all along, besides sooner or later, were going to get rid of the need to use human soldiers for military combat but i wont get into all of that, you'll juast have to wait until we release more information in the following weeks (RL)

Friends, Likonians, Countrymen. Today we find ourselves in a position of hate and devestation. Our history has been dipped in blood, from the Revolution to the bloody reign of General Nilats.
The promise i made when i was elected as your Conductor, was that no war would touch our lives again. I have failed in my promise. Lipvinity has attacked our nation without reason, and we must not allow them to continue in their unholy crusade.
They have conquered a small part of our land, but they will never conquer our spirit. We shall fight them wherever they may be, so that we shall emerge as a free people, living life our way with our ideals.
It is time to fight back my friends, comrades the time for negotiation is over, the time for battle has begun. To the mothers and fathers of the faithful soldiers who must die i apologise. War is not a beautiful romantic thing, it is filled with pain, suffering, and is what brings human beings down to a level of stupidity, to make 100,000 years of evolution pointless.

The Red Army began it's advance upon Tigris. The bombers overhead flew down upon the down, dropping their deadly cargo around the edge of town.
Tanks covered the infantrys advance. The Imperial Army's artillery hit some, yet not enough. As soon as they were in line the IA began to fire upon the Red Army. The dead from both sides piled around.
After an hour the Red Army retreated. For most of the day constant attacks were made upon the town.
The final attack was not fully repulsed, and the Red Army manageed to take the Eastern outskirts of the town.
The estimated Red Army losses were

The Imperial army was in shock. The days fighting had been brutal, and the dead could not be counted. Bodies were used as cover to hide from the Red Army's snipers.
Enemy artillery and bombers had began constant bombardment after dark. Unless reinforcments arrived soon the Imperial army would be destroyed.

The Panteran Landing Zone continues to swell into the surrounding area, and current reports indicate one-hundred thousand to be ashore within the hour.

Burgundy jets scream overhead as the numerous carriers offshore launch thier fighters. Probes begin been sweeping in and out of enemy territory, the mobilization enters an excited stage. The blood of thier enemies is upon the horizon, and the Reavers can all but taste it.

The Panteran flagship, the recently rebuilt behemoth battleship Seabitch, has been sighted with a mighty contingent of other ships, including her sistership, Silence. Aboard one of these is the Reaver Prince Dayne the Evenstar, brother to the Lord Reaver and Lord Commander of all Panteran forces in the area.

OOC: Alright. Let's get the terrain and whatnot straight here, please? I'm assuming that since Lipvinia is marching across the border into Likon, that you share a border? Does this border touch on or near any port or coastal city? I need to know to figure where my Reavers are, and where they will go after the initial outbreak of conflict... Thanks.

OOC Basic geography
Communist Likon is a large island, the only nation that it shares a border with is Communist Idealism in the south.
200 miles west is Lipvinity, another island nation, the channel between these two nations is calm and easily crossed.
Tigris is the port town that Lipvinity currently controls, it is the west most town of Communist Likon. East and inland 78 miles is Danube the capital city of communist Likon.

The Panteran flagship and her attending fleet light up the night sky with thier first fired shots of the conflict. Barrage after barrage is unleashed at shorebound Lipvinity forces, while a screen of warships moves to engage any threats.

As the fleet begins its firing, the first tides of Reavers begin thier assaults upon enemy positions, howling and screaming taunts and curses at thier enemies.

A large force of some 50,000 reavers had departed thier LZ, located some miles to the north of Tigris. A thick screen of infantry with some xeventy units of heavy armor and artillery, supported by the air and precision artillery provided by the mighty fleed, a few miles offshore.

Many smaller 'Pincer' batallions have been dispatched, attacking savagely all across the enemy lines. These batallions number roughly six thousand Reavers each and are predicted to thrust deep into the heart of enemy territory quite easily, if not to the city of Tigris itself.

The next arriving wave of an estimated 140,000 Reavers will be heading southeast to Danube, to form up with Likonic forces.

As the Reaver attack was taking place, four IDF agents dressed in Imperial Army uniforms. They slowly walked through the stnch of the dead. All around them lay body parts and corpses.
Eventually they reached the Church where the civilians had been held prisoner. They killedd the 6 guards and quietly opened the front door. The room was cramped with bodies. Many were dead frfom starvation, and suffocation. The IDF agents had to squeeze past right down into the extensive crypts. They openedd the secret passage and led the citizens down through the secret passageway to Red Army held territory.
The head agent hurried to telegram General Theodore, he would be very pleased that the operation was a success.

His majesty King Alexander I has sent the entire Imperial Army to reinforce it's position in Communist Likon.

With the new re inforcments the Imperial Army attackedd the Red Army's positions hard, the relentless attack created many casualties but they did not back down.
By morning the Red Army had begun to retreat.

A squad of snipers lay on a cliff's edge, tracking Lipvinian infantry.

1 fired. The rest followed his lead.

1 Lipvinian soldier took one in the shoulder and turned grotesquely,falling face forward into the ground. Another had his head blown off. Lipvinian soldiers were falling everywhere under the hail of sniper fire. Suddenly 1 soldier hefted and RPG and launched a shot into the milling crowd of soldiers. You could actually see bodies flying in every direction. The snipers took a few more shots and left, leaving only the faintest footprints to show that they had ever been there...

The Red Army retreated 10 kilometres east to the Dendun River. The artillery and tank fire kept the Imperial Army at bay. Overhead bombers and fighter continually flew to attack the Lipvin positions.
The Red Army was demoralised. Then General Theodre apperaered. The greatest military mind in the nation was there to lead his men. The troops took heart, and marshalleed for an attack.

Soon after General Theodore arrived at the scene, the sky darkened and thunderous sonicbooms were heard as all of the United Socialist States of Zvarinograd's aircraft concentrated on the area. EA-160C strike fighters released EAW-12 cruise missles, flanking east and west of the Imperial Army. AZ-SSB-02 hypersonic bombers attacked directly, bombing the front lines. EA-26B attack helicopters provided ground support for the Red Army and AZ-SMF-02 hypermanueverable air-superiority fighters engages against the oncoming TT fighter jets and PPT bombers.

All of which happened at once, in an attempt to turn the tide of the battle back into the Red Army's favor.

With expressthanks to Zvarinograd, the Red Army began to pour over the border. The runnogn battle took back 6 kilometres before night fall with minimum casualties on both sides.
During the night srtillery frrom both sides was hard to find shelter from. In the morning a decisive battle would be fought, the outcome could decide the course of teh war.

With reports of heavy fighting in Communist Likon, the Edolian fleet off the coast of Credonia sets sail, heading on a direct coarse towards Lipvinity. It is estimated that they will arrive in 32 hours [NST]. A second fleet made up of ground forces is settting sail to meet up with the Edolian battle fleet. It consists of:

A message is sent to Panteran and Likon high commands:

"Edolia is here to strike at the heart of Lipvinity itself. Millions of their soldiers are fighting on the shores of Likon and that shall be a bloody conflict. However, we are certain that if a succesful attack were to be made upon their homeland, their forces would lose the will to fight. They shall soon witness the fury that is Edolia."

...As the ships move closer to Lipvinity, Edolian arsenal ships begin preparing their frightening array of weaponry...

Again the team of snipers appeared, now at the front. Again the same process repeated itself. Snipe alot, RPG. Snipe alot, RPG.

Lipvinian troops were falling left and right, and in the cases when RPG's were fired, all around. But this time there was an M&A Baby Tank, firing rounds continuously into Lipvinian forces. After a short time, the snipers and Baby Tank left. The Black Lightning force had struck again.

With a last cry the Imperial Army charged forward. Losses had been significant, but still they remained. They had lost no ground, only frriends, comrades.
They repulsed the latest enemy attack. The Lipvin Air Force flew ahead, distracting the Communist Likon Air Force from attacking the IA. They charged, and on the Red Army' s leftf flank exposed a weakness, the Communist Idealism volunteers. Who were badly trained and crumbled before the battle hardened Imperial Army.
With small details like this a battle is won, the Red Army began to fold in on itself and retreated. The withdrawl action was successful in the fact that few casualties were suffered, but much ground was lost.

The Red Army was camped in the Rfundin forest, just outside the West of Danube, the capital of Communist Likon. Danube was being evacuated, except for all men between 16-55 who were being armed for the defense of the city.
General Theodore had decided that the city would not be taken. The Red Army would fight to the last man. The arrtillery was in place, they Red Army had cover and air support, with constant supplies.
The Imperial Army had no real cover, constant bombardment, no air support as they had not established anyairfields, and all their planes came from their Air Craft carriers.
There were many miles between them and reinforcment. They had no great supply of provisions. General Theodore reached out his hand, a sngle snowflake floated down to fall upon it. The harsh Likon winter was late, and when it was late it was always brutal and harsh.
The Imperial Army would be bogged down, freezing with no winter clothes, no where to retreat to. They were sitting ducks.

Isochronous hereby declares war on Communist Likon, and immediately deploys long-range bombing squadrons to strike Danube, and allow the Lipvinity Imperial Army to seize the city.

The United Socialist States of Zvarinograd once again scrambles it's airforce to intercept the bombardment. As well, additional supplies (medical and otherwise) are being paradropped in parcels down to the Red Army to allow them to hold the fort until thier reinforcements arrive. In addition the Arctic Army, experienced in the harsh environment* thier homeland offered, will now quickly paradropped in to further strengthen the Red Army.

My nation resides north of Siberia, in the Ostrov - Zemlya island group (Russia, close to the Arctic Ocean), they've seen worse winters. That means the resolve of my soldiers will be far superior, if the Imperial Army isn't trained in these conditions. Even then, these soldiers lived thier lives in the ice, it's thier element and won't be outdone in it.

The Imperial Army dug. It was a way to heat up, a way to escape the shells. It was not coordinated, not a single front. No one was in command, just the basic instinct of digging to survive.
Dug outs were everywhere, some foolish soldiers had used their bare hands on their shovels, and now their skin was stuck to the metal.
Slowly order was restored, artillery was put into operation to fire back, but the gunners had no idea if they were hitting their target. Food was rashioned.
Word came that reinforcments were marching. The rally cry came, if we can break the lines and get into the capital we will survive. We will survive.
Slowly they emerge from their holes and run at the woods, firing randomly, tey know not where the enemy are.

"ATTACK" went the cry from the lookout post.
As planned the artillery opened up, the planes overhead flew by to intercept the attackers. General Theodore stood in the front line with his men, gripping his rifle. He would fight with them.
The line of enemy crashed through the snow covered trees, Theodore aimed, and fired.

Tactical overview, both sides lacked supplies and were affected by the cold. However, the Imperial Army charged, without coordination into the forest. They were spirited. The Red Army was aware (note: outpost) and fought back, using the cover of the forest to help them. General Theodore is reducing morale decay from the conditions.

I'd say the Red Army will not only hold, but mow down the Imperial Army as they come. Attacking through forests is always a good way to split up and weaken an army.

Most of the men are between 14-18, or 55-60 years of age, but i am sure they will be most usefull. If you fail to take Danube, i advise you fall on the field.

"ATTACK" came the shout from the observation post. It had been quiet for a couple of days, but once again the artillery was loaded, weapons prepared, and the air force alerted.
General Theodore put his rations away and pulled out his rifle. There was a barricade in front of his troops now, made of frozen dirt, wood, and stone from the outskirts of Danube, all covered in twirling angel barbed wire.
He lookeed over the top, expecting to see the Imperial Army charging at him. His eyes opened wide in amazement. Wadin g through the knee deep snow in front of him, through the tres was a see of humanity.
Mostly old mean and young children, there were millions. Later offical count would measure them at 15.3 million, but for now that was irrelevant.
For the next few hours he watched as this line of living dead were mowed down and slaughtered. As he shot uncountable enemy his eyes filled with tears.
When the all clear sounded he stretched himself fully and allowed himself the luxury of wiping his eyes. That was when the Imperial Army sniper fired at him, not knowing that the man he hit was the most powerful of his enemy's.
The bullet sliced through Theodore's artery, cleaving it in two. His men hurredly wrapped a field bandage around his wound and dragged him to the M*A*S*H at the outskirts of Danube.
Word of his injury filled the Red Army with blood lust, yet discipline held them from attacking the Imperial Army's position.
Martin Little, the deputy conductor has been sworn in as acting Conductor until Theodores situation has been assessed.

At 1650 hours, the Edolian fleet (minus the submarines which were sent elsewhere to help another nation) stops 800 kilometers off the coast of Lipvinity. The ships movede into formation, the destroyers centering themselves around the carriers and the two varieties of AXD short range missile boats based on the Imperatrix missile boat carriers. Of the two hundred boats, 80 of them are anti-air and missile and 120 are fast strike missile launchers. They immediately deploy into Lipvinity waters. For half an hour, the fleet does nothing. Then, the sky lights up as the arsenal ships begin firing. 1,060 FOX-IV surface to surface missiles shoot into the air and begin streaking towards their targets in Lipvinity. Mostly targetted are ports where forces and supplies are being sent to Likon. 300 missiles, however, are sent further inland, striking at military installations and especially runways. For the time being, the Edolian High Command has decided to play it safe and wait for developments before beginning another stage of the operation.

As word of the pitiful state of Theodores men, Dayne the Evenstar has sent several heavily guarded convoys to the city of Danube. Some thirty-thousand Reavers swarm the surrounding countryside, with more entrenched all along their route. Large rations of food and clothing are brought in, along with medicine and several cases of Panteran brandy, in an attempt to raise the moral of the defenders.

As the front screen of Reavers recieves word of the disarray of Imperial forces, a massive air attack is called in. Dozens of bombers coupled with fighters that number in the thousands scream overhead, attempting to decimate the massed ranks of Lipvinity soldiers.

As the air assault commences, the larger bulk of Reavers breaks away from the convoy and commences the assault on the western flanks of thier enemy.

It seems the well armed and superbly trained Reavers, thier ferocity legend across the world, though outnumbered would slice through the disorganized, badly-fed and seemingly idiotic Imperial army.

The convoy remains well-guarded, and begins the short trek to Danube.

The previously deployed assault force has turned and is moving from the north to reenforce Danube and assault the bulk of Lipvinity armies.

At 4.00am this morning, the Conductor of Communist Likon, General Theodore, died of a wound he received while fighting for the defence of our nation, which he loved so dear. The new Conductor, Martin Little, swears to beat back the enemy to the ends of the earth.
Once this war is over General Theodore will be buried as the national hero he is. may the war be swift, and his peaceful rest long.

The Lord Reaver is saddened by the death of an honored ally, and a Legendary Hero. He shall be mourned by all of Pantera.

However, brave soldiers of the Red Army, do not lose heart! The sacrifice of General Theodore must not be in vain. Had he lived, he would have led you to victory, or he would have raged against these Imperial cowards until he had nothing left. So must you.

You homes, your families, your very identities are at stake. Defend your heartlands, my allies. The Reavers are with you, and we shall seek our vengeance for the death of General Theodore.

Will, elite trooper of the imperial army, woke with a start. The shelling had begun again. He got up, and carefully peeked out of his emplacement, he shivered, it was getting colder by the minute. Suddenly, he heard a strange whining noise, looking up he saw a strange contraption bursting through the clouds, it was amazing that it could fly at all. It was big, bulky, and couldn't fly in a straight line. It looked like it was built of scrapmetal pieces stuck together at random. He felt like laughing, until he saw what seemed like hundreds more coming in low over the treetops. Even as he watched, some were shot down, while others simply crashed. Then they started to drop bombs and fire rockets. The night was lit up, fires sprang up, screaming erupted around him. He ducked down, and a light drizzle of snow and body parts fell over him. He looked up fearfully, a bulky missile was coming straight towards him, amazingly there seemed to be a pilot sitting in it, as it came nearer and nearer Will could have sworn he heard him yell "Wheeeeeeeee!" Then his world errupted and dissapeared.

Lieutenant General Joshua Reynolds has been parachuted with 45,000 troops near the Communist Likon lines to assist.

Meanwhile, the four armies, 450,000 soldiers under the command of Grand Marshal Rayus Noventa has arrived near Communist Likon aboard the masses of transports, escorted by the 5th Fleet, under the command of Fleet Admiral Horatio G. Nelson. Their job is to launch a surprise attack on the rear lines of the enemy forces.

Lord Castellan Kurutsov leads 50,000 men in an expeditionary force to reinforce Lipvinity. A small task force prepares to launch a surprise attack on the Edolian fleet, but Generallisimo is scrambling for supplies and men after the devastating recent war with their neighbors.

A message has been sent to all Allied High Commands suggesting that a meeting be set up to draw up a military plan for the counter-invasion of Lipvinity. After a heavy bombardment, very well trained Edolian soldiers <<OOC: 400,000 soldiers is about a quarter of our army and we spend massive amounts of money per soldier>> will establish beach-heads and await Likon and Panteran reinforcements.

After the massive missile strike against targets in Lipvinity, a force of 1,200 YT/A-2 Hellion unmanned fighter/interceptors and 1,600 PT/A-1 Scarab unmanned fighter/bombers are being deployed to Likon air bases (assuming that Communist Likon has no objections) to begin launching air strikes against Lipvinity.

Also following up the missile strikes, 48 Edolian Garuda class high altitude hypersoar bombers...

To keep it simple, our ships are built using trimaren sloping hulls which gives them far greater stability in the water as well as reduces their radar signature. They also have very extensive pulse radar jammers. These, along with the fact that everything (including the carriers) are relatively small means that they will be difficult to hit with missiles. Also, the Pythonia-SAD destroyers are outfitted with a variety of fleet-defense anti-missile systems. So, I'm not saying that you can't hit them, it's just going to require more than normal (which isn't saying all that much since fleets are infamously vulnerable to missile fire).>>

This new fleet will reenforce the Edolian fleet and we believe that it will be more than sufficient to destroy the Isochronous fleet.

To keep it simple, our ships are built using trimaren sloping hulls which gives them far greater stability in the water as well as reduces their radar signature. They also have very extensive pulse radar jammers. These, along with the fact that everything (including the carriers) are relatively small means that they will be difficult to hit with missiles. Also, the Pythonia-SAD destroyers are outfitted with a variety of fleet-defense anti-missile systems. So, I'm not saying that you can't hit them, it's just going to require more than normal (which isn't saying all that much since fleets are infamously vulnerable to missile fire).>>

In a couple of days I will give an updated list, as I have recently made a long series of mass purchases. Until then, my fleet is deployed against the Edolians and my ground forces against Likon.

Engineers have been fortifying Tigris, and knowing that the siege of Danube is suicide, the Imperial Army has begun pulling out. It leaves the old men and children to attack the Red Army, to create the illusion of continued attack.
The Artillery and 3 million troops have begun the march North to the city of Guevra, the only other Western Port town of Communist Likon.

The United Socialist States of Zvarinograd, in response to Isochronous' airforce, has commisioned it's highest ranking pilots as well as the rest of it's offensive airforce to retain air superiority over the Imperial army. A total of 300 AZ-SMF-02 "Deus ex Machina" (God of Machine) hypermanueverable air-superiority fighters and 200 AZ-SMF-02B "Chakram" interceptors have joined the battle.

The 7 million citizens of Guevra saw the advance forces of teh Imperial Army comming. It;s hard not to see an army of 3 million comming towards you.
Up in the North the winter was its harshest. The women and children hid in the cellars and basements. The men put on their overcoats, and grabbed their guns, handed out by the National Guard and police.
They headed towards the already dug bunkers all around the city. They would not be able to hold back a fully armed, supported Imperial Army. But the men who approached them had no air cover, few artillery, and minute supplies. In the harsh cold they would not need to keep them out of the city long before they froze to death.

As the Lipvinity troops marched toward the city, a roar was heard overhead.....a gift from the heavens!

The Royal Isochron Air Force had dropped supplies - 5,000 AK-47s and blankets to keep the Lipvinity troops warm. Meanwhile, the 2nd Paratroopers Regiment parachuted in (700 men) to help Lipvinity.

Soon later, loud explosions were heard as the initial air strikes on Guevara were launched.

His Majesty Emperor Tamazoid I of the Holy Isochronous Empire wishes to thank Tokarev for it's support.

The Royal Engineers have arrived for the defense of Lipvinity, and begun construction of several SAM sites.

The United Socialist States of Zvarinograd's standing airforce has engaged Isochronous aircraft within thier combat air patrol over Communist Likon. In addition, the United Socialist States of Zvarinograd has begun counteroffensive airstrikes of Tigris, concentrating on defenses and on-site constructions. The Arctic army's airforce attained losses of 25 EA-160C strike fighters, 15 EA-26B attack helicopters and 190 AZ-SMF-02 air superiority fighters.

As the Isochronus fleet arrives in the area, planes based in Communist Likon begin taking off. Flying directly towards the enemy fleet are 600 YT/A-2 Hellion unmanned fighter/interceptors and 600 PT/A-1 Scarab unmanned fighter/bombers. In a second movement, and launched before the other and attempting to come in from the other side are 200 additional YT/A-2 and 200 PT/A-1s. An additional 400 Hellions and 400 Scarabs are sent up as well to act as reserves.

As the Scarabs move closer, they arm their medium-range FDX-S5 air to ship missiles and at 300 kilometers, each Scarab fires one. 600 missiles streak towards their targets. Isonchronus aircraft carriers are targetted especially. After firing, the planes immediately dive, flying just a few meters off the water with precision only an unmanned fighter can have. At 150 km, they will release a second salvo of FDX-S3 short-range air to ship missiles. <<OOC: But some planes be shot down so I'll not describe that yet.>>

As the Scarabs launch their missiles, the Hellions move into a position behind them, preparing to defend them from enemy fighters.

<<OOC: A few notes on the YT/A-2 and PT/A-1 fighters. These are UCAVs -umanned combat aerial vehicles- but they are quite different from the ones currently used by the US air force. At this time in real life, we're nearing the end of the age of manned fighters. In fact, the United States air force has said it expects to discontinue the development of new manned fighters once the JSF is released. Unmanned fighters allow for much greater stealth, speed, cost efficiency and maneuverability and can execute maneuvers that would kill a human being. Each fighter costs somewhere in the range of $90 million though unmanned fighters tend to be cheaper than manned ones. The previous is the part that I spent endless (it's really kind of sickening how much time I spent actually, lol) hours researching. The following is a part that I'm less sure on and can be ignored.

Edolian fighters utilize the SCRAMjet technology. My relatively limited understanding of them is that they work by sucking in air, compressing it and mixing it with gasoline and then igniting this mixture to gain thrust. This would allow the fighter to go at very fast speeds (theoretically up to mach30 though Edolian SCRAMjets are much more basic and thus can only do mach5). No one is really sure when SCRAMjets could be released in the real world though I have read an article in Popular Science that predicted that in around eight years we'll be able to equip a small, unmanned fighter with a SCRAMjet. I like to play at a ~2013 era technology level. Like I said, I'm not on as firm a ground when it comes to the SCRAMjets and I'm basing a lot of it on one article so if you want, we can ignore them. Just tell me when you respond to my attack.>>

10 F-22s and 7 Harrier jump jets were either downed or damaged. It was a hit and run job, quickly screaming away from the Zvarinograd Air Force, who had numerical superiority.

As the Edolian cruise missiles close in on the Isochronous fleet, extra radar jammers are put up, distracting several missiles, with sme simply blowing up mid-air. Harrier jump-jets and the F-22s are scrambled, whilst the Collins class submarines close on on the Edolian destroyers.

The air battle for tigris has begun!

a missile platform in the form of 55 ork Bommas swept in behind the imperial troops. Just outside radar range 110 grot suicide rockets werre launched. Confident that they had played their part, the Bommas headed home. Casualties: 5 chrashed bommas, 2 shot down by small arms fire.

Lipvinity. 110 7ton smart (pilot guided) rockets are inbound for your troops, they will strike their targets in ca. 15 minutes.

Grand Marshal Rayus Noventa has landed his 400,000 troops in the several Northern ports of Communist Likon to reinforce their beleaguered allies. Hearing about the movements of a massive Lipvinity force attacking Guevra, dispatched Lieutenant General Roger Acton with the 9th Army of 200,000 men to reinforce the city. Leading the 5th Army of 200,000 men, Grand Marshal Noventa moved to trap the Lipvinity army at Guevra... The 5th Fleet has split up... A Carrier BattleGroup centered around two Trireme Class Fleet Carriers has been dispatched to assist in the defense of Guevra. Four additional Barracuda SSNs have been newly commissioned and procured from the Cala Naval Yards and they have moved into position around Guevra to intercept any naval reinforcements.

Lieutenant General Joshua Reynolds has been given the heads up and with his reinforced Rapid Deployment Divisions have begun attacking the Lipvinity lines in the wake of a missile attack by the Rebel Grots.

Foottroops from rebel grots has begun to arrive at the front. 1 300 000 troops are preparing a massive infantry wave. SArmed with ak-47s and crud, but deadly, close combat weapons. These troops are prepared to sacrifice themselves in order to completely eradicate the remains of the lipvinian infantry.

out of the 110 missiles, 27 crashed before reaching enemy lines, 2 struck Guevra itself, 20 were downed by fighters, and 38 were lost to AA and small arms fire. A total of 23 7ton missiles found their targets.

South of Guevra, Imperial Army camp

The winter wasteland of Communist Likon awakened as torrents of sonicbooms rang in the ears of everyone present. The United Socialist States of Zvarinograd's airforce took to the skies in full force. Hundreds upon hundreds of aircraft denied everyone below sunlight. Like a tsunami it anniliathed everything in it's path and left none but rubble in it's wake. Then the AZ-SSB-2 hypersonic bombers shot straight ahead at five times the speed of sound, each dropping one bomb, the signature bomb of the United Socialist States of Zvarinograd. The AZ-MCOB-A Massive Conventional Ordnance Bomb (50,000 lbs). Several mushroom clouds shot straight to the sky. Everyone within the blast was incinerated, everyone else was forced prone by the massive shockwave, some attaining fractured ribs. It was not nuclear, but the horror was present. The Imperial Army took the ultimate shock and awe factor of the United Socialist States of Zvarinograd.

100 LCACs and 100 AAVP7A1s make a beachhead in Likon territory, disgorging 50 LAV 25s, 12 LOSAT HMMWVs, half the standing Tokarev army (about 75 to 100,000 men), and 50 Challenger II Tanks. Air support includes 12 EA-26 Attack Helicopters.

Soon the Kingdom of Kroz sends aid to Likon in the form of ammunition and rations. It transfers $1,000,000 to the Likon government.

The armed republic of rebel grots redeploys it's infantry army to face this new minor threat from Tokarev. 1 200 000 close range/combat troops are on their way. The last of the suicide grot bombs are launched, 525 rockets.
32 of them have crashed so far, but the remaining 488 rockets will arrive in aproximately 12 minutes. These are 7-ton smart-missiles (steered by pilots).

The president at the same time sends his condolances to the people of Tokarev, but tells them to blame their government for the expected death of their brave soldiers. President Gazkhull further urges the government of Tokarev not to ally themselves with imperialist, capitalist dogs:
"Communist Likon has been wrongfully attacked, siding yourselves with war criminals is not a smart move my friend. I apoligize for military actions, but these are hard times, and I extend the hand of frindship to Tokarev, I would be honoured to call you comrade."

The Tokarev forces take grave casualties, and ten of the Cutter fleet are forced into other duties. The remaining Cutters withdraw from Likon water into standby in International Waters.







The Grotz attack is devastating. Seeing the army arrayed against them, the Tokarev forces pull back under the cover of darkness to the fleet awaiting in International Waters.






Tokarev considers the peace offer, while anxiously awaiting the arrival of five newly purchased, top-of-the-line battleships.

Tokarev, stay on the good side with us. I can give you substantial economic and military benefits.

In response to enemy build ups, further Isochronous forces are deployed. 135,000 troops rush towards Guevara, in APCs, Leopard II tanks along with air support. Cruise missiles are launched against the ammunition factory in Guevara, completely obliterating it. Meanwhile, trucks have reached the Lipvinity forces, giving them supplies, rifles, ammo and artillery to continue the fight.

20 extra Collins class subs deploy, along with 320 F/A18s. The current sub group sinks an Edolian carrier, but one suffers major damage. It only just manages to lumber back to Lipvinity for repairs.

Panteran forces have begun a large-scale withdrawal. Some fifty thousand will remain in Communist Likon, to be placed under the command of Likonic forces until the end of hostilities.

We apologize that we can not commit all of our forces to drive these coward dogs from the Likonic homeland, but tensions abroad demand Pantera keep all its strength at the ready.

500,000 members of the Revolutionary Guard were dropped into Guevra. The Red Army was a day's march away, they had destroyed 4 million old men and children posing as the Imperial Army outsided of Danube.
The RG set up around the city, the Imperial Army finally made it's first desperate attack, the IA numbers had been gradually bolstered to 7 million.
The RG helped by the Guevra citizens turned back teh attack, if they could continue to do so for just one more day, the IA would be stuck, and trapped.

Realising that this could be a turning point of the war, Sea Hawk helicopters were readied to attack the RG, and A-10 tankbusters were hurriedly deployed from the Isochron Empire.

Urgent supply trucks finally arrived to the Lipvinity troops, re-equipping them all, handing out blankets and extra tents. The 32nd Medic Company also came to treat injured Lipvinity soldiers.

The armoured convoy of 170 APCs and 280 Leopard II tanks, along with 51,000 men was just 10 hours away. A big battle was about to commence. Worried Isochron commanders were figuring out ways to get more of their troops to assist the Imperial Army. Air strikes, with B-1B bombers and F/A-18s intensified. Chinook helicopters were loaded with supplies as quickly as possible to help out the IA. Meanwhile, the supply ships HMIS Endurance and HMIS Marina unloaded at a Lipvinity port with weapons and other supplies.

The Imperial Army's artillery was bombarding Guevra as the first of the Red Army's tanks engaged the rear of it.
The shells burst as the Imperial Army turned to engage on both sides. The Red Army was slowly pushing them towards the city, they were out in the open and totally exposed. Unless they receivedd help soon the battle would be lost.

The Royal Isochron troops were just a few kilometres away from the fighting. The troops, unlike the IA, were fit and morale was high. Seven divisions of Leopard II tanks would soon be there, the first of many within hours. The Sea Hawks, Black Hawks and newly imported Apaches would soon be engaging the Red Guards and crush Likon.

As the Isochron troops approached the battle, 750,000 IDF members attacked them from all directions. They were armed with rocket launchers, mortars, and automatic rifles.
They were well trained and prepared to fight to the death.
Isochron casualties are expected to be high, although the exact number is unknown.

The Isochron troops were massively outnumbered. The ambush instantly killed 278, and wounded many more. the Likon forces had 750,000 to 155,000. In a move which could prolong the war, the troops retreated to a nearby hill, and dug in. While they were outnumbered, they were fresh and not fatigued, and well equipped; unlike the Likon troops.

They were outnumbered, but Isochronous had air superiority. Wave after wave of air strikes killed many Likoners, and there was no letting up. The Leopard II tanks would soon show why they are the best tank in the world.

A wave of hundreds of Sea Hawk, Black Hawk and Apache helicopters arrived at the battle, picking off thousands of Likon soldiers in the biggest helicopter attack ever seen, and A-10 'tankbusters' performed their job with distinction; destroying 10 tanks after the first wave.

The fighting just outside Guevra suddenly quieted down, as the 1 250 000 rebel grot troops stopped fighting and regrouped. The battlefield seemed suddenly to freeze in time, you could almost hear a feather falling, a sense of expectancy fell on both defenders and attackers.
Then, a single blast from a whistle was heard, and with a mighty "WAAAAAAAAGGGHHH!!!!!!" that shook the foundations of the earth, the rebel grots charged straight into, over, no-mans land towards the Lpivinian and Isochronus troops. The ground shook as over a million steel-shod boots sprinted forwards. They were dying in droves, but they died valiantly, fighting the imperialists and dying for the communist cause.

Meanwhile above them, 230 fighta-bombaz engaged the enemy air force, sustaining heavy casualties, but giving the enemy a bloody nose and preventing them from interfering with the infantry charge.


Peace talks are continuing with Tokarev, the president has offered a solid peace treaty involving Tokarev withdrawing completely, but gaining a large amount of funds and military equipment.

Communist Likon prepares the Red Army to prepare to defend the homeland and drive out the invaders. Any nation which assists in the attempted annexation of Communist Likon will be fought off and destroyed.

What the Zvarinograds didn't expect, however, was that the fighting was within range of several Isochron SAM sites. Anti-aircraft missiles flew in from everywhere, wiping out an entire squadron with the first wave. The SAM sites had passed their first test. Well done Royal Engineers.

Meanwhile, the Isochron Army remained firmly entrenched on the hill. Casualties were slowed to a trickle, and little progress was made by either side. The Leopard IIs were proving how awesome they were.

2,000 Royal Isochron Paratroopers parachuted onto the hill to help out. 10 were shot mid-air.

The armour of rebel grots has just arrived 3 miles north of Guevra. Their orders are perfectly clear, get the Isochorus troops off that hill!

Despite being massively outnumbered, wave after wave of assault continues to be repelled by the dedicated, heroic Isochron forces. The already massive army commanded by Grand Marshal Noventa doubled in size as reinforcements arrived from the homeland, bringing the total strength of his army to 800,000. The 99th Armored Corp commanded by Lieutenant General Michelob Fandwick attacked the entrenched Isochronous army with 200 Lynx II MBTs and 130 Leopard V MBTs as the 5CN Navy attacked with F-41C Corsairs and F-35J Joint Strike Fighters.

Meanwhile, a force of nine Barracuda SSNs moved into the transports arrayed by the enemy to evacuate the troops and began attacking using torpedoes and missiles. Supported by a pair of Avenger Class Destroyers, the Barracudas scored an impressive victory.

Captain Halway von Marxburg stared off into the distance towards the enemy fleet. He could see little spots of light that he assumed were explosions. He had heard that a massive air attack was going underway. His ship, a Farris wouldn't have to do much for a bit. It was an anti-air destroyer and he figured that the Isochronians <<OOC: I hope I got the adjective right.>> would be sending everything they had that could fly at the Edolian fighters. As he watched the horizon, suddenly he heard the wail of sirens.
What the hell? Suddenly an explosion threw him to the deck. Then, the sounds of the wounded picking themselves up.
"DAMAGE REPORT!" he yelled. An engineer ran up to him, out of breath.
"Sir, I'm getting the reports now. It seems we've been torpedoed. I can't imagine the damage was too bad. However, we probably wont be going anywhere any time soon." No sooner were the words out of his mouth that another torpedo smashed into the Farris. Captain Halway von Marxburg feel only the slightest pain before the explosion crushed his face.

The High Admiral of Edolia, Mikail von Bilëburg sat in his office aboard the flagship carrier, Erik von Blatterschplitt. The reports were coming in. Two destroyers lost, a SSD and a SAD. He frowned momentarily to see that the Farris was one of those lost. Captain von Marxburg was a good man. The reports of the response from his men though made him smile inwardly. The almost immediate deployment of Landias out into the water to find the subs along with the quick launch of Gryphon-IIS anti-submarine helicopters were a testament to the excellent training and coordination of the Scarlet Fleet. The emergency phone rang. He picked it up.
"What is it?"
"Sir, the Derik von Blatterschplitt has just been torpedoed three times sir." The Admiral winced. A carrier of the fleet!
"What? Why wasn't it inside the destroyer screen?"
"It was engaged in a routine transfer sir. It was shifting from the Northern wing of the fleet to the Southern wing. It looks like the fuckers caught it at just the worst time."
"Damnit. Alright. I want to see if it can be salvaged. I assume that all our other fighters are being launched?"
"Yes sir. We've got a lot in the air now. I can't imagine how those nine subs could escape with everything that we're throwing at them."
"Good. Make sure that they don't. Edolia has lost too many good men already. Keep me informed if there are further casualties. Bilëburg out."

Non-RPed Actions of the Edolian Forces
As the reports of a submarine sneak-attack come in, non-submarine duty destroyers move back towards the center of the fleet, forming a screen around aircraft and missile boat carriers. The 40 anti-submarine destroyers move out, sending sonar sweeps all over the area. 70 Landia class missile/patrol boats immediately deploy to scour the area. If they find enemy submarines, they will launch homing torpedoes and long-range, high-explosive depth charges. They are very fast and would most likely be able to outrun a submarine. However, they would not be able to strike at one. The 80 Gryphon-IIS anti-submarine helicopters however are armed with HOK-4 anti-submarine air fired torpedoes. They also carry sonar sweepers that can be lowered into the water to more easily find submarines. A small number (40) of PT/A-1 fighter/bombers carrying anti-submarine missiles are scrambled and speed towards the location of enemy submarines. Finally, the Edolian attack submarines themselves, the 22 Lavernia class attack subs move in to strike against the enemy submarines.

<<OOC: Since we're going to be throwing torpedoes around, I should mention that Edolian carriers and destroyers are built with trimaren hulls which makes them able to take much more damage from torpedoes (I can send links if you want, it's a VERY cool design). They'll still sink if you hit them a couple of times though.>>

To coordinate with the Edolian airstrikes against the enemy fleet, 24 Gerburg class small arsenal ships break off from the rest of the Edolian fleet, using their extremely stealth hulls to hide themselves from enemy radar until they move closer. Each of the 24 ships launches 20 TAX-2 ship-to-ship missiles. The 480 missiles streak towards their targets in the enemy fleet.

After their initial salvo of 800 missiles, the Edolian Scarab fighters continue on. At 80 kilometers, each of the 600 fighters fires a single FDX-S3 air to ship missile. These are a good deal more accurate than the ones fired before. As the enemy planes near the Edolian fighters, the 600 YT/A-2s begin firing off XED-3 medium range air to air missiles (medium range, medium maneuverability). Using their extreme speed, they attempt to close with enemy fighters as soon as possible. In a dogfight, there are few fighters that can stand up to the YT/A-2 and close-range XED-1 missiles spell death for anything with wings.

Taking the opportunity to dish out even more damage to the Lipvinitians, Edolian Blatterschplitt class arsenal ships fire an additional 2,100 FOX-4 missiles are fired, targeted at military and government installations along the Lipvinitian coastline.
