This is so you can referance your nation while RPing and avoid god moding before you start. [for instance, I feel that in my original here I'm overdoing the power, if anyone has a problem with any bit, they can comment on it and I will change accordingly]
GAME STATS:
Population: 210 million
Size: Huge
Climate: Pleasant
Military Service: Compulsory [so a 25 million man army, counting support and reserve]
UN Category: Psychotic Dictatorship
Civil Rights: Some [so it's not that easy to incite a revolt]
Economy: Good [so it has reasonable weaponry, not lazer cannons or anything, also some research but hardly orbital bombardment stations or anything]
Political Freedoms: Outlawed [so militaristic]
Government Agenda: The large, corrupt government is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Defence and Commerce are on the agenda. [so reasonably rich, decent defence and scared populous]
Tax: 31%, much higher for wealthy [so high income]
Private Enterprise: Illegal, but large Cheese Export smuggling
Religion: Athiestic
National Animal: Endangered [so, alas, my idea of using them as a fighting force will have to wait for now]
STATS TAKING THIS INTO ACCOUNT:
Armed Forces: 25 million, 6 million actually fighting [this is INCLUDING reserves, so it works out at, like, 2 million]
45% of which are army
20% are navy
30% are air force
5% are miscallaneous (elite units like the SAS or Navy Seals or go betweens between the three (e.g. marines) etc.)
Army Technology: Infantry Equipment: Sub-machine guns
One grenade each
One combat knife each
Steel Helmets and camoflagued uniform but no bullet-proofs for most ranks
Artillery: Large field guns (like in WWI) guarded by infantry.
Ships: 400 - 275 are support ships
50 are transports
25 general (like destroyers, cruisers etc.)
25 subs
10 aircraft carriers
5 battleships
Aircraft: Recon choppers
Jet bombers and fighters, but not stealth and they use guns as opposed to sidewinders.
Tanks: Less than 15 tanks, however, all are EXTREMELY heavy
Missiles: Cruise missiles only, no nukes although the means to make them exist
Defences: Minefields, bunkers, SAM batteries are being built but not operational, harbours are rigged with explosives
Animal Armies (elephants, cavalry etc.): None
Other: Elite Sapper Corps exist, with advanced tunneling machinery
A small 1,000 man Sniper Corps exists
A very few spies are trained but not placed yet.
All officers are trained in the usage of heavy weaponry, like RPGs or chainguns. Although it's not likely that they'd actually get to use one.
In the event of an ammo shortage all soldiers are trained in the usage of swords, hey, more effective than pistol whipping
Research: I'm unsure if this is implemented into the actual game so I'll keep this blank for now, I would have it as fruitless research into energy weapons and defences but ...
Anything else I forgot? I'm making sure that I'm not uninentionally cheezing before I RP....
