The nation of Vico requests foreign assistance from any nation ASAP.

Our country was formed after a brief period of turmoil, during this period various factions were formed, they gained power but one of them gained an excessive quantity between the nation, this faction, known as the Assailant Jaguars, they are religious zealots which brain-wash people to make kamikaze strikes against military installation and civilians, it is also backed up by a big mafia, the mafia wants to take me down and unfortunatly the goverment is still weak from the fight between all the factions, our current militia is using Guerrilla tactics to counter this faction but it won't take really long until they finally beat us, we need assistance from any nation willing to do so. The Assailant Jaguars are also convincing a lot of our population into making riots, the mass-riots caused in the cities are out of control by local police and military forces, we don't even have enough weapons or armors for all the personal and ammunition is becoming very scarce and rare. Our social structure is being teared apart, Rioting and looting are wide-spread with the most basic of public services unable to operate, if we don't receive help our nation will surelly fall into anarchy.

If there is one thing that is certain to draw the attention of the Tom Joad Foreign Commisary it is the presence of religious zealots, having examined the situation your nation is in and considering your status as a member of our home region we have decided against full-scale military involvement.
However the idea of deploying limited numbers of troops is most appealing to the military and the leadership.
Within four hours a single C-17 Globemaster III will be launched to deploy sixty paratroops and associated equipment, their mission will be to seek centre's of control for these dangerous forces and destroy them.

Denied all large scale forces, the population will think that I want a war with them instead of going into a war with this faction, I need forces that go from groups of 8 soldiers each to a max of 200 soldiers, no tanks, no aircrafts, plus the terrain is mostly jungle, so everyone should be ready for jungle and guerrilla warfare, the Assailant Jaguars are known trough our nation for making fatal attacks with C4 filled 'bealivers' killing innocent people and destroying important public places such as hospitals, fire departments, police departments and various military installations, the hospitals are trully welcome, our nation has been devastated by the faction, a special bunker in which all of the foreign commanders and troops can enter, and then move forward to other cities, has been established in the goverment building, also I have to stay with my troops and fight as well, even if I'm the president this is my people and I need to fight to keep morale up.

President Vico, your courage is most admirable but it would serve no purpose for you to be killed or captured, so I must urge you to remain as a soldier at the strategic level and make sure that we your new found allies do not waste time in pointless confrontations.
The tactics of the Assailant Jaguars is most difficult to defend against so we must strike at their bases denying them the use of the jungle as a base of operations, a situation my troops have trained for but never faced for real.

Very well. We can send in our "Jungle Combat Team" units, who are trained and experienced in jungle guerilla tactics.

We have 10 teams, each with 9 members.

Air cover for these units will be brought in, but used only if absolutely necessary.

We are thankful of all the help that is coming from foreign nations, currently our capitol is safe and troops that are ready for combat are making guard all over the city, most of the cities have been severally damaged by the Assailant Jaguars, the mafia on the counter-part seems to be preparing for something big, we don't know what but we have been informed of huge activity on that city, foreign troops should be also careful, the south and east of our nation has been blocked by road, so if anyone wants to pass they should deal with those blocking the roads, shot only if you are shot at, im moving to the bunker and examining the situation with more detail, thanks again.

Bomber attacks are denied, that is far too excessive, just take your troops, if the situation starts to get off hand i'll give permission to start the bombings, I don't want to take off the zealots and then have to fight a wildfire that will destroy all the cities in my nation.

With the permission of Vico a D12- Kavu assault dropship will drop three of Shaum's best Special Operations Teams in your capitol city. They will be at your full disposal.

We at Kihameria will send over 1st. sniper brigade that consists of 1000 men,all well equiped.they will arrive via hovercraft and will be under youre command.

With your permission, the Agua Puro Armed Forces would like to deploy up to 3 field hospitals (each 10 field medics, 5 surgeons, 15 infantry for base security, 1 base commander, 1 radio operator, 4 Army pilots, 2 transport heli's.) in Vico territory, or on your borders if you prefer.
The field hospitals will serve Vico troops and allies as well.

Agua Puro cannot send substancial armed forces as our nation is not very large, we need home defense.

Ducking slightly to avoid the light, Captain Ambrose entered the command bunker's conference room and gazed at the other assembled command officers.

Nodding at a few of the usual staff officers, Ambrose walked over to the President.
"Sir, my men have established their location 6km from this bunker and are word from me to begin operations. Obviously with the number of troops involved and your desire to avoid a full-scale war we must ensure the chain of command is followed rigidly"

Whilst his mouth spoke his mind considered possible scenarios for his men,"If I may suggest sir, we'll need to designate areas of control for the different forces and I'm not sure about your nations ability to supply everyone so I have taken the liberty of having a regular supply planned but not yet implemented as it was deemed best to wait for your approval"

Ok, orders are as follow:

Primary directive: Re-open all roads and eliminate any blockades made by either the mafia or the jaguars.

Secondary directive: Eliminate all Jaguars, but also watchout for the pesky chaps, we have been informed that they are gaining weaponary and ammunition from an unkown source.

Take back all the nearby cities, which would be: Xochitl, to the north-east, Elon, to the south-east, Inu, to the south-west and the military installation to the north. Reports from the cities are unkown and the military installation was destroyed, so any survivors would help, same for anything you can salvage.

Optional directive: Taking prisioners is not, I repeat, not obligatory, it is as you please.

Now to continue with other matters, the agua puro armed forces have permission to deploy in our capitol, as alredy statted be careful with the rocket launcher jaguars.

The president looked at the Captain, "Yes Captain, your troops have permission to start with the operation, they will head to Xochitl, on the way there a road fork has been taken over by the Jaguars, we suspect that they mined the way to both cities, if you get past the Jaguars the mission will be as follows, first, you need to secure the military compunds in the city, it is imperative that you do so, second, rescue any survivors and take them away from combat, third, any personal that can fight will be armed and taken to battle, only if neccesary, fourth, any wounded civilians or military personal shall be taken ASAP to an hospital or field hospitals", the president coughed and continued, "Now, as we gain the cities back from the jaguars hands they will become a new temporary base for the current troops there, supplies, as you suggested, will be given by every's troops nation, currently we are still struggling with this point, for the moment that is all", as the president finished he went back to examining the map of his battered nation.

100 Eredron troops, and 20,000 lb of munitions, military and humanitarian aid supplies and gear are being loaded onto two EA-80 Transport Planes. Upon authorization to enter Vico airspace, the EA-80's will take off immediately, under escort of 4 F-22 Raptors.

We are also deploying a Nimitz-class Aircraft Carrier to the Vico region, with a complement of Raptors aboard.

"Get the men up and ready we're heading to Xochitl in the north-east of the country, intelligence says the Jaguars have established a check-point at a road fork, our first job is to clear it out and then proceed to the city. Whilst this information was relayed to the camp the Captain began the jog back to camp and hopefully, like on the journey to the bunker, a truck would appear and give them a ride.

We ask for permission to paradrop the troopers behind enemy lines to assist Tom Joads forces in a pincer movement of sorts. We would also like to send out our special forces to sabotage Jaguar installations. In addition a portion of the military hospitals will be deployed as the advance continuesso that any survivors and wounded soldiers can be take care of immediately.

Menoth, your plan is most insightful however I propose one alteration which is your regular forces act as a blocking shield upon to which your special forces and mine will hopefully push the Assailant Jaguars against.

Eredron has permition to enter our airspace and deploy their troops, the F-22 raptors can't get near our capitol in a radius of 100 KM.
Menoth, after a lot of talking with my council we have decided to give you permition to paradrop, if something goes wrong our nation won't be able to give any help to your troops, our soldiers and police force that we have contact with have higher priorities, and that would also go for every other nation that is helping us.

A soldier rushes into a barelly standing house, "Commander Elorduy, we are ready to make the second wave over the capitol", the soldier yelled, "Excellent, tell them to wear the C4 harnesses, it's time for some Jaguars justice", the commander said, "Alright, it's time to move our forces, send 3 kamikaze squadrons to Xochitl, 2 sniper and 1 kamikaze squadrons to Elon and 5 normal squadrons to Inu, we also need to bring rocket lanchers to all this cities, so we need to arm at least 2 persons from each squadron with LAW Launchers", the commander grinned and looked at the soldier, "Inform the troops, it's time for our move", the captain finished, "Yes sir!", the soldier replied and saluted, after that he ran off and went to the barracks...

The government of Kenistan also wishes to help the good people of Vico. The Kenistani Intelligence Agency has had great success in counter terrorist activities. They have been most successful when used in metropolitan areas, such as cities or large towns, working undercover to root out sympathisers and activists and then assassinating/arresting them.

Although we do not belive that they would be very effective out in the jungle, they could be devastating against the mafia. With your permission, we we will despatch some 300 intelligence officers to infiltrate and destroy the mafia (under joint command), as well as a further 100 officers to help rebuild the Vico intelligence services.

Also, as a result of Kenistan's powerful IT industry, we also have superb surveillance equipment, and have despatched the Army's 77th Intelligence (Signals) Regiment (400 men) to aid Tom Joad's Armed Forces by pinpointing the precise location of Jaguar communications from the jungle. Using transport aircraft all of our forces can be in theatre within 12 hours of your approval.

We will commence paradrop operations now, they will hit the installations we have identified. We will also send more in once Kenistan has pinpointed the enemys location (assuming he's allowed to help of course).

Keninstan has permission to deploy between our territory, take whatever you can from the mafia, report to me whatever you got from them, weapons, armors, vehicles, personal, information, locations, etc.

Urgent Information:
The city of Xochitl has been devastated by kamikaze attacks from the Jaguars, we don't know how bad the situation is but we need troops there ASAP.
The city of Elon reports various snipers on rooftops of various public buildings and important installations, civilian and military, entrance to any of this has been impossible.
The city of Inu has been taken by the Assailant Jaguars, a mass-riot around the city has been confirmed, I give permission to all of the foreign nations to open fire, only if one of these 2 rules are confirmed.

1.- The riot is armed and is dangerous.
2.- The riot opens fire with any type of gun.

Apologies President Vico, but my Chief of the General Staff anticpated such a move by the Jaguars and it seemed prudent to move the 77th into the country as soon as possible, they have been on the ground for several hours.

Xochitl is completely surrounded by enemy forces, intelligence communications indicate that they moved into the city proper to destroy defences and then retreated back into the jungle on the eastern, western and southern flanks of the city. There are no forces covering the main northern road out of the city and there are token forces remaining inside the city, this suggests they are hoping to lure ground forces in and then trap them. We have also detected Radar waves from the eastern and western flanks, these could be SAM units, although we are not sure, any nation preparing to over fly the city should take precautions.

The city Inu has indeed been taken by the Jaguars, the mass rioting is being organised by the mafia in an attempt to drive them out. This presents two situations:
1: Let the two of them fight it out and then enter the city when they are exhausted
2: Enter the city now and fight a three way battle.

Elon also has many SAM batteries, Menoth/Tom Joad you will have to send your troops in low to avoid the missile sites, we'll be jamming them as much as we can. Once on the ground, Alpha and Baker companies are under orders to merge with your units to try and track down the snipers by their transmissions. They will be under your command.

The main road system has 7 main road blocks, each placed to interdict all major traffic transfers between the three cities.

Given that most of your aid is now being air delivered, it is extremely worrying that the Jaguars should suddenly equip themselves with Surface to Air Missiles in all of the places Tom Joad and Menoth wish to attack, i think that you should consider the possiblity of a spy in your cabinet President Vico.

The Jaguar patrol moved silently along the road, checking each house and corner for traps and snipers, unaware that they were already being watched by the Tom Joad armed forces. Lt. Jom had only graduated from the academy last month, and now here he was, covered in dirt and insects watching the jaguar patrols, now moving away into the ruined city.

Slowly, Lt. Jom became aware of a rustling in the bushes behind him. Clutching his gun tightly, the young Lt. spun aorund on the floor, pointing his gun toward a dark figure in the bushes,
"Don't move..." he said.
"Whoa! Careful with that!"
Jom smiled, he recognised the accent and placed his rifle on the floor. The figure moved out the bushes, extending his arm toward Jom,
"Greetings from Kenistan..."

The KIA has begun its infiltration of the mafia. We have already eliminated several dozen of the local leaders in Inu, although that was due largely to their idiotic decision to expose themselves during the rioting.

The main road linking Xochitl in the North-East and Inu in the South West is being used by the Jaguars to split the country in half, regular patrols are mounted in stolen 4x4's, as well as several dozen road blocks along the highway itself, each spaced between 8-10miles from each other. Baker company has elliminated all road blocks around Inu, although the Jaguars are still in control of the city.

Communiacting using hand signals the Captain launched the move with no sound. Everybody moved at a steady pace and after a few meters split in to their assigned eight man groups. Everyman watching the ground and the assigned areas progress was somewhat slower then the Captain had hoped but they would still make it so as to give the Jaguars no time to prepare.


In the distance several pop sounds could be heard and several heads flicked down to watches and then back up again.
"Garcia, we wait until the last round hits then everyman move forward and kill those that are left. Anyone who isn't one of ours and has a gun kill them....we don't have time for prisoners"

Garcia nodded and communicated the orders to everyone else.

As the first rounds fell amongst the Jaguars panic took hold, most had never seen combat let alone faced an assault from highly trained special forces. Several ran away others were cut down by fragments and bullets from the comrades they had sworn to serve to the death.

"Listen up you girls!" the Jaguar commander had faced similar assaults before and knew that the assault would come after the mortars stopped, voice hoarse from shouting over the shells and a lifetime of smoking "Stay where you are! Any man runs will be dead before they get out of my sight"

The Captain was the first on his feet and was several paces ahead of everyone else before they reacted and moved forward to finish what for most was their first combat experience, yet training and natural desire to be better then everyone else made sure there was no cowards amongst them.

Yells and shouts came from all around such as the nature of the jungle and soon the ripping sound of bullets flying was heard none close but still it was an unnerving sound.
The first death was due to a home-made mine and the victim was then killed for sure by several rounds through the head and chest, nobody stopped to check on him becuse in this environment if you stopped for one man you might never get up again.
"GARCIA, KEEP THEM MOVING!" The Captain was in his element and the men under his command performed beyond expectation considering their experience.
Within thrity minutes the Jaguar troops were either dead or had fled and the area was secure for the time being.

"ExComm, this is GateWatch crossroads secure, have met up with reinforcements and will now proceed on to primary objective"

The Catain reached down and plucked a cigar from the body of a dead man, "You won't be needing this budy", another search revealed matches and a crude map that was useless because it was soaked in blood.

The previously landed paratroopers are moving toward the road destroying any enemies in their path, the road should be cleared by tomorrow (30 min to and hour RL).

The special forces have meanwhile been seeking out any and all SAM sites and destroying them. In addition they have destroyed some enemy troop movements and convoys.

Forward elements of GateWatch have identified the following information about the target city:Jaguar forces are mainting a visible presence on the main streets of the city as well as having placed observers on the roofs of several buildings, no fixed surface to air weaponry detected only hand held launchers.
Suspected Mafia elements are providing most of the suppression of the populace with the Jaguars acting as a figure head. Suspect Mafia elements are mainly located in the city centre, with heavy Jaguar and Mafia security outside and close-by.

Main element of GateWatch will arrive at striking postions around the city within the next twelve hours a further update will be issued then.

The paratroopers have now secured most of the road, there are some pockets of resistance and since the whole thing can't be patrolled at once there is still some enemy activity on it.

OOC:From what I know we can expect the map today or tomorrow but Vico's had delays getting a site setup and getting access to the computer.

GateWatch has now assumed positions on the southern outskirts of the city and will when a flanking force is established begin to enter the city and clear the area, however GateWatch's objectives are limited in the sense that they have been ordered not to begin a full-scale urban combat situation and instead to force the attention of the Jaguars on to them allowing other forces to encircle the city, this will most likely not go undetected and the Jaguar elements will withdraw to avoid capture.

OOC:Only allies of Tom Joad will know about the location of GateWatch but foreign elements and the Jaguars can make assumptions based on the loss of the crossroads.

The Armed Republic of Bobghanistan is prepared to offer assistance to the good people of Vico. We are prepared to send a task force of A-10 Tankbusters, EF-111 Raven Electronic Warfare aircraft (to counter SAM threats) and our new F-15E Strike Eagles and Harrier GR9s.

The BAF hass specially trained units specifically for low-level close air support operations and would be well suited to provide air cover to counter-revolutionary forces.

We support Vico in this fight against religious bastards.
Unfotunately, we can't provide help.

Bobghanistan, the president has issued orders to minimise the impact of the conflict on the countries inhabintants, such as not allowing large-scale use of troops by foreign powers and large-scale bombing of the urban environment.
Of course your support is most appreciated but the scale of it must be reduced to acceptable levels.

The impact of the BAF's operations on the people of Vico would be minimal. I am prepared to offer an alternative to my previous offer of assistance. The BAF is prepared to send a small task force of Harrier GR9 close air support aircraft. By their very nature, these jump-jets are perfect for providing air support to friendly ground forces in combat conditions, and would not be used in any capacity for bombardment of urban areas. We hope that this is more acceptable than my previous offer of assistance, and apologise if we seemed a little over-zealous in our previous efforts.

Intelligence confirms that main road has now been abandoned by Jaguar forces as they cannot keep up the war of attrition needed to take and hold the main highway. Provided Allied ground forces can maintain an effective presence on the main road and the towns/villages served by it, the Jaguar/Mafia forces are now effectively cut in half.

After briefly lulling the Jaguar forces into a false sense of security and thus revealing their positions, Baker company stormed the city of Inu in the early hours of Monday morning. Thoroughly demoralised by the 77th blockade of the city, the Jaguar/Mafia forces quickly surrendered. A militia of city folk has been raised and armed with the weapons of the surrendering troops. New fortified postions have been created, and supplies air dropped by the Kenistani Air Force, along with a Brigade (2400 Men) of Paratroops from 10th Airborne Division.

Inetelligence received from captured documents is being readied for dispersal amongst allied forces and POW's interrogated for further information.
