Although we have had our storefront up for quite a while, it has done very little business. To date I have yet to figure out why no one buys from it, so I've decided to make this thread in an effort to get feedback from the customer, that is you. Please note the current storefront thread is a continuation of an old one, which also did almost no business....

Our storefront thread can be found Here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=83246)

And our storefront website is Here (http://www.freewebs.com/bluebomber/index.htm)

Please comment, and feel free to request new products!

Heavy competition. Back in May/Early June, there were only a few storefronts, and business was very good. Now, maintaining a storefront is unviable (I had to close down ESAA and make it direct sales).

My opinion:

To NSers, its all about the look of the pic. And Raysia and Klonor and everyone but Crimsons mom beats us. Its too ragtag, no matter how leet it acts and works. But hey, at least we know we can whoop the shit out of any one of those morons :D

OOC:
As long as Raysia doesn't forget how to use Photoshop (Which I doubt will happen, unless he gets amnesia), he'll still be badass competition.

You just need persistence and a lot of time to think on your product. You'll get success that way.

It's not bad; I wouldn't buy stuff from it though because I don't use future tech stuff -- I just like modern tech stuff, and I don't RP with future tech nations. I know trimaran warships are feasible and all that, but they don't exist now and won't for several years....

And don't worry -- you said its been up for "quite a while," but it really, 10 days isn't that long (at least, that's when that particular thread was made). My storefront is pretty successful, but there have been times when I've gone several days without a sale. Check the 2nd and 3rd pages (maybe 4th, I don't exactly remember...) of my storefront (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=62566) to see for yourself. That thread is a continuation of my first storefront, which was like 21 pages long, and it had some down times too.

Just give it some time, be persistent and bump it a lot. It worked for me. :)

I think what is hurting you is the mixing element, being neither fish nor fowl means that both mod tech and future tech nations may dismiss you as they would fail to see how you could service both (people tend to like one or the other).
Space tech is very difficult to sell, unless you can get awesome kickass pics from somewhere that hasn't been ripped off yet then yous tand a chance but in space tech people tend to be there so they can flex thier own creativity.

Mod tech is easier to sell as it often the purchaser is somewhat familiar with the absic ideas but you really really need a killer app (in my case my engines, the gilgamesh and the rotodynes to some degree) and be willing to pimp any new products like crazy (new additions help a lot, its a nice way of bumping). Giving the odd semi decent newbie a helping hand also works wonders as they tend to be impressed with thier stuff and tell people how nice you are.

Just some of my thoughts.
