For several years The Commonwealth of Naelosia has been theorizing about a new form of movement.
The original idea was to design a faster mode of transportation to allow our troops to come to the aid of our regional nations in the event of a large scale invasion.
Then, about five months ago, our scientists had a breakthrough.
We are now currently in the process of constructing an experimental devise capable of traveling between Alternate Universes.
For those who do not know what an Alternate Universe is we will endever to explain:

For every action, there are an infinite number of reactions that 'could' have happened.
For each of those possible reactions there is an alternate universe where this alternate option did occur, therefore creating more alternate reaction possibilities.
Every day every person in the universe is traveling between these universes by the effect of their actions.
Our actions dictate which universe we move through.

The Trans-Dimension Drive Engine (TDDE) is capable of pushing objects into one of these universes and pulling them back, in a different point in space.

The problem with this is though, as far as we know, the laws of physics in these other universes still aplies.
So therefore a ship going to an alternate universe would still have to travel five thousand kilometers there to move five thousand kilometers here.
When our scintists realized this our project was almost scrapped right there.
But then, someone had an epiphany.

If you traveled back in time to the begining to the universe, to the point when the universe formed, there would only be two alternate possibilities.
Either the universe formed, or it didn't.
In the alternate universe where it did form, that is where the infinite possibilities would be.
But in the other option, the universe not forming, nothing could happen.
There would be no universe, no space, no time.
It would be a Nul Universe.
Absolutly no alternative options.

Because in this universe time is irrelivent troops and ships pushed trough this universe could emerge at the exit point back in their own universe almost at the exact same momment they entered the entranse.

Despite the obviouse benifits of this technology, the drawbacks are just as great:

First of all the facility itself to hold the TDDE would be massive, and building it would cost at least $13.256 trillion!!!
The energy to power this facility would also cause massive balckouts for several minutes in many nations, such is it's need.

And, although it is designed for defensive reasons, in the wrong hands it could be used as a weapon of destruction and conquest.
That is why all documents conserning the TDDE are closely guarded.

The Commonwealth of Naelosia has also enlisted the help of The Empire of Gidjajjh (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=display_nation/nation=gidjajjh/), with it’s massive armies, and The Protectorate of Mercenary Warriors (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=display_nation/nation=mercenary_warriors/), with their one man SWAT teams, to protect the TDDE from outside interlopers.

But once the TDDE is complete we will open up use of it to any and all who wish to use it for public transportation.
The cost will be lofty to accommodate the cost of powering it, and to further research into it’s development.

Also, in the event of a national emergency, should any member nation of
The United Federation of Nations (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=display_region/) require the TDDE's aid, the use is free of charge.

As per our agreement with Naelosia, The Empire of Gidjajjh has constructed five military bases around the TDDE, each holding 3400 troops, for it's protection.
Each base is heavely armed, and capable of calling in full scale military reinforcments in the event of a large scale assult.
Reinforcements can arrive within three minutes.

As is stated in our contract, The Protectorate of mercenary Warriors has suplied 25 Mercenary Warriors to defend the TDDE and protect it's technologies from falling into the hands of those who would use it for evil.

well. it appears to be an original solution, or atleast an original variant, to einstein's curse. it looks like we are approaching the two dozen mark of ftl technologies.

the f.i.s. would be interested in sending some people to learn about the theoretical aspects. our primary ftl (ooc: based on drake's rcn series) has a similar basis. such an exchange could be benefical for both sides.

OOC: They do sound similar, but I actually got the basics for my theory from a Star trek TNG episode.
Thats were I got the idea for alternate universes.
The rest is all basicly my original thoughts though.

Xanthal uses Transdimensional Gateway technology to allow our ships to move instantly from one point in space to another. The technology is relatively compact, highly reliable, and very efficient, making it ideal for our Imperial Armada fleet vessels, each of which is equipped with one such drive.

12 years later

Over the past dozen years, the Commonwealth of Naelosia has continued to pour as much of our scientific budget as possible into the construction of the TDDE.

Now, after just over a decade, the facility is complete.
With the massive three by four killometer wide control facility, and the super massive fifteen kilometer wide, ten tall, portal generator (to accomodate some of the larger ships that may need it), it is the largest facility ever constructed by Naelosian hands.

The TDDE will allow Naelosian forces to come to the aid of nations in need at any given time, any where in the cosmos.

The date of the first test of the TDDE is still undecided, but will be sometime very soon, as the Naelosian people await this monumental step in technological breakthrough.

I would say the three nations involved are controlled by the same guy, but I won't because I have no evidence to substantiate this claim...

Actually we were once in the same region and made an arangment.

And though we have gone our seperate ways, they have agreeded to allow me to retain the donated forces and their offers of protection still stand.
