N00b help

I know this post isnt an international incident, but I believe the answers would be helpful to newbies who want to get involved in the International Incidents roleplaying.

Question for all the experienced NationStates players out there:

How long in real-life is a NationState year? Is it overnight? a week? how long?

What is the typical timeline for being able to develop certain industries, infrastructure, and so forth? (i.e., assuming intentions to develop nukes, discover ways to enrich uranium, build infrastructure, etc?)

And what other rules of thumb should newbies be aware of that I'm too new to even ask about?

I know there is a GDP calculator out there, but what is the link?

And if these are all answered in another place, where is it?

I play a variety of roleplaying games, so I'd like to get at least some understanding of common rules of thumb so that I don't get branded a n00b loser.......

Thanks in advance for your help.

Usuall, 1 RL day = 1 NS year.

Sometimes, people use 1 RL day = 3 NS months

I dont know which to use, however :)

Glad to be of help :)

That just links you to the Pipian page. I think the Pipian one is easier to use.
