In an announcement made today, The Sambizie Empire is currently seeking additional trade partners. We are actively seeking any nations that posess, manufacture, or mine the following materials:

These resources and materials, although used by the military, will not obligate the Sambizie military with trade partners. This is strictly a business venture not a military one. Be assured though, that we will protect our interest. Details of the "final" agreements made are negotaible within our governments, (ie..trade, shipping, receiving, manufacturing, mining, etc..)

We thank you for your interest and responce. Firstly, let me state that this will be a "long-term" arrangement, not a 1 time trade. We are seeking to secure a reliable source of this material. With that said, we are prepared to release "certain" technology and manufacturing rights of various products. In addition, we can offer monetary compisation as well. It would depend on what would "benifit" you the most. If you could supply a list of materials, prices, and quanities sold by, it would be greatly appriciated.

NOTE: This is open for all nations. The Sambizie will fully investigate each responding nation. If your nation holds a favorable eye to the Sambizie, you will be considered. OOC: Warmongering nOOb's will be ignored.

The Allied States of Lusaka (a modern-tech 3rd world state in southern Africa) is always interested in creating ties and acting to stabilise the erratic economy.

We are far from certain of being in a position to satisfy any of your nation's major import needs, but offer a list of our major resources none the less-
Copper, cobalt, zinc, lead, coal, emeralds, silver, uranium, tin, phosphates, iron ore, diamonds, gemstones, gold, natural gas, nickel, and hydropower.

We are willing to sell both the tritanium and duranium at 250lbs each. The tritanium would cost $2500 US dollars (1 US dollar=2 grendels) including shipping and the duranium would cost $2000 US dollars. We are offering these both at low prices because no one else has shown an interest in buying these products. We are willing though, to adjust the prices to how much you would like to purchase.

The material stated would be needed by the tonage over a period of time. We could "out-right" buy what we need, but we would incure further expences storing it, thus we would like to arrange some sort of shipping schedule. Firstly, are you an Earth Nation? Secondly, we can "ship" the material ourselves, if our fleets presence doesn't pose a problem to your government.

We are willing to sell about 300 lbs of deuterium per month at this time, but the industry is just waiting to expand, and new firms may start up if your demand is high enough.

We are willing to sell at abour $2100 USD/lb

Currently Lusaka produces natural diamonds for export at a typical $150 per carat value, with around 1.2 million carats produced per annum (ooc:which I think would just barely put us in the top 10 IRL in terms of total production, just behind Namibia, which seems fair).

We seek financial reimbursement for our diamond export, however much that may be.

As for the other available resources of interest to you (ooc:Zinc and cobalt values are something I am not exactly familiar with, I'm afraid..), production is plentiful, and has room for expansion. If you are requiring of large levels of these resources, we suggest perhaps as part of the payment, your advanced and wealthy nation play a part in expanding production facilities, and agree to employ Lusakan labour wherever possible in that process. To complete payment, we should be very interested in assistance with our fledgling rocket programmes. Currently Lusaka is attempting to initiate a modest space programme, culminating with the regular launch of commercial and other satellites from our northern districts (which are close to the equator, providing cost reduction in launching orbital missions).

Upon further research, we are no longer in need of diamonds. However, we are willing to negotiate with you on your proposal. We are fully capable of "building" facilities in the interest of mining Colbalt and Zinc. I hearby present this counter-offer:

1. The government of Sambizie will provide materials and construct the needed mining and support facilities.
2. We will employ your people and also institute a "training" program for those who are interested in mining operations but lack experiance.
-Estimated cost of these facilities will be in excess of $2.2 Billion (materials included)
-IF we are allowed to build these facilities and employ your people, the burden of payroll will also fall on us. (our miners average $23.00 per hour for starting positions, higher for management and supervisory positions). IF we are to "build", "pay", and asorbe other operational cost, we request a 25% retention of ALL materials mined.
3. As an "OPT-OUT" option for your government: Additional percentages of material we be accepted as a payment towards the facility. Once you have "compensated" us for the facilities, we will no longer retain 25% and thus the facility and all expences will be your governments responsibility.

You have also mentioned your space program:
-We are willing to and capable of offering you various support. Anything from launching satellites to shipbuilding. Again though, space programs are very expensive, thus "we" may be compensated through more materials.

As a show of good faith, we offer your nation several 0g simulators. These simulators will assist your pilots while they ultimately prepare for space travel. In addition, I am prepared to offer 5 of your nation's best pilots, a training residence aboard a Sambizie vessel. Here your pilots will be trained in one of the most advanced craft we have. This experiance will transpire into nation wide training programs for your military. If this offer is accepted, we would like to place a small fighter contingent at a secured military airfield. Our pilots will stay aboard our vessels and only transfer to the surface for pilot training.

Back on subject, we anticipate that this is a favorable offer in your view. We do not wish to "mine" other nations, rather assist them in the gathering of knowledge that will someday make your nation strong. What are each mineral used for?

Coreworlds: To explain what each mineral is used for, would be very time consuming and lengthly. "Most" of the materials are used in various componants and "power" sources for our Pulsar I M/AM Drivers.

Emperor Uganda-Sambizie, your proposal appears most fair. Wrote Igomo. While the diamond sector was sad to loose potential business, the nation has quickly forgotten that failure in light of these exciting prospects.
We accept your conditions regarding construction, operation, and production of/by the cobalt and zinc facilities. Let me add that you will surely have no trouble finding applicants for work- the mentioned rates of pay are significantly above those enjoyed by most in Lusaka, including many high ranking military men and government officials. We hope that current programmes resulting from the on-going third world solidarity conference will produce a generation of better educated and more highly skilled potential employees.
Your good grace in freely offering a "get-out" clause has already begun to create positive feeling in Lusaka.

We anticipate most of the facilities will be positioned near the resource-rich Great Rift Valley, with a lesser concentration perhaps close to Mzuzu.

As for the additional offers regarding space and military affairs, we must admit to relatively modest aims. Lusaka has no immediate intention to pursue an extra-terrestrial military capacity, nor interplanetary travel. We do have some interest in the subject, however- our economy is currently on a gradual rise, but it is uncertain how far this will go. We still hope to launch unmanned satellites, and not wanting to exclude ourselves from potential international space-projects in the future, are hoping to accept your offer of crew training, and five F-20 and GR-8 Harrier pilots are being considered.

Very well, I am glad we will have this oppertunity to work with your nation and its people. As I have other pressing matters elsewhere, I have ordered the delivery of supplies to your nation. A Sambizie convoy along with escorts, will be arriving in the Sol System within a few (RL) days. They will have enough supplies to start the construction of the facilities. The shipments will be dropped at the specified areas. However we ask that you have personal "on-site" to co-ordinate the drops.
