30 years after a nuclear explosion destroyed the center of Tokyo and triggered World War III in 1989, a new city, and a new nation has sprung up from the ashes of the old. The Emperor is a powerful psykid (my word for psychic kids) named Akira, a bit on the quiet side, and his right hand man is Tetsuo, the Exalted Prime Minister teen and an excellent military strategist. Its military is a small (for now) army of fanatics and a few fighters, but it will grow.
