Change of Government in FPC...!!!Reformist victory!!!

26-10-2003, 16:08
[no invasion, declaration of war or sending of troops without my consent in my country will be tolerated in this thread.]

FPC free newspaper:
"The leader of the Reformist army, Yuri Gagarini, has declared the People's Repuplic of FPC independant from any Imperial forces. However, he has made it clear that there are still Imperial forces present in Northern FPC and that the civil war is not yet finished. But, in despite that, he has begun running the country. He stated that he would begin elections for the prime ministers and senators as soon as peace would be brought back.

In other news, a convoy of 10 Imperial supply trucks was ambushed as it atempted to flee the vicinity of New-Quebec. 2 Reformist soldiers were injured and 15 Imperials were killed."
26-10-2003, 16:47
[Near the northern watercoast of FPC, in a small fishing village]
Ladislav - Ever wondered if we could've won at New-Quebec?
Boris - Perhaps, but our stupid emperor had to shoot himself ratheer than lead us to victory!
Kombayn - Don't say things like that, an officer could hear you!
Boris - I don't give a..
Ladislav - Wait! What's that light back there?

*explosion near the three men.*
Kombayn - hmp... guys?.... g...guys? Where....where are you?
Reformist soldiers - you are hereby under arrest for uprising againt the People's republic of FPC.
Kombayn - I will never surrender.
Reformist soldier - very well then. Die you bastard!
*shoots him in the head.*
Reformist Lieutenant - Comrades, you see that village?
Reformist soldiers - Yes sir!
Reformist Lieutenant - Then go wipe out every citizen in it. They have sheltered Imperial soldiers, they must pay.
Reformist soldiers - Yes sir!

*The entire village, around 190 citizens, is wiped during that cold night.*

After hearing the report, Yuri Gagarini has organised some surveys to prevent furhter massacres. He also wishes to keep the ACS warships to help him in the final stages of the civil war:

"These acts are inhumane. Those soldiers will be treated acordingly. We cannot treat our ennemies like that or, in this case, suspected citizens." - said Yuri Gagarini.

Battle of Kalichni (total of 9 days)
Imperials - 30,000 soldiers, 30 tanks
Reformists - 45,600 soldiers, 250 tanks + 40 artillery

Sypnosis -
Kalichni is a small city 490 miles North of New-Quebec. As an Imperial stronghold, it is badly needed for the Refomrists to take it for further progress.

The battle -
The battle began with the Reformist artillery pounding every house or pillboxes in the city for a couple of hours. When all done, tanks were sent rolling in. They met heavy resistance by both tanks and soldiers armed with molotov cocktails and RPGs. The 250 tanks managed to destroy 27 Imperial tanks and kill 1,008 soldiers but lost 23 tank itself in the process.

Then, Reformists soldiers were sent in. For nearly a whole week, they fought a house to house battle where they were excellent in. The Imperials lost supply lines near the 8th day and had to give up the city.

Casualties / captured - 23,200 dead + 66 tanks / 16,500 PoWs
Imperials - 13,500 dead + 29 tanks / 16,500 PoWs & 1 tank
Reformists - 9,700 dead + 37 tanks
27-10-2003, 17:07
Battle of Kilokivo forest (15 days)
Imperials - 260,000 soldiers, 100 tanks
Reformists - 750,000 soldiers, 300 tanks

Sypnosis - THe kilokivo forest is an old an large forest wich gives acces to mines of Uranium. The Imperials, of course, defended it in the hope of selling some Uranium to make money.

Battle -
The Imperials were totaly caught off guard. The first line of defence was totaly destroyed without much of a fight. When the Imperials regained their senses, they made the best out of their 2nd line of bunkers and pillboxes. The Reformists were stoped in their tracks and had to fall back to the 1st Imperial line of defence. Then, for nearl 10 days, series of charges and small scale fire fights erupted without much progress being made by any side.

On the 11th day, some Reformist aircrafts were dispatched to the forest and they began a day long bombardment wich took a strain on Imperial soldiers. After 12 days, the 2nd line of defence broke and the Imperials fell back to their 3rd and last line of defence. The Reformists High-Generals knew that this was their oportunity to win the battle so they launched large waves of soldiers at the positions. The 3rd line nearly fell but the Imperials managed to hold for 3 more days. On the 15th day, the remaining Imperial soldiers received one final charge wich they could not hold any longer.

Casualties / Captured - 438,900 dead / 61,100 Imperials captured
Imperials - 198,900 dead & 90 tanks destroyed / 61,100 captured
Reformists - 240,000 dead & 130 tanks destroyed

It really depends on where you are going with the reformists, if this you finishing up your epic and bringing things to a final even keel then it might be best just to extract Mike and perhaps take the more extreme members of the underground with him (always gives you a bogey man for later on).
27-10-2003, 22:47

The Wealthy Representative hires 10 assassins to kill the Ambassador in the pass. If it fails, anti-personell mines have been placed on the pass.
28-10-2003, 00:53
The convoy stops in the pass to stretch their legs and eat a little. The ambassador is not seen out of one of the armored vehicles.
28-10-2003, 00:56
One of the assassins fires an Anti-Tank missile at one of the armored vehicles.
28-10-2003, 00:59
the soldiers see the rocket coming and try to escape it's path. However, the armored vehicle cannot be moved on time and is hit by the rocket. It explodes and wheels and shrapnels fly high.

Immidiately, the bodyguards begin shooting in the direction that the AT missile was fired. One of them as a sniper rifle and begins sniping the assasin.
28-10-2003, 01:02
The Assassin, of course, is killed, but another assassin fires another rocket at another armored vehicle.
28-10-2003, 01:05
The rocket naturally hits the armored vehicles but cause some minor damage because of the angle. Still, the vehicle is damaged beyond repairs.

Half of the bodyguards and convoy begin to flee back to FPC while others, including snipers, shoot at the assasin.
28-10-2003, 01:06
3 more assassins come up from behind some brush with Ak47s, firing into the group of bodyguards.
28-10-2003, 01:14
before they can realise what is attacking them, 2 bodyguards are killed and 4 others are wounded. However, in it's retreat, one armored vehicles notices the 3 assasins and charges at full speed towards them while other bodygards shoot at them with M4A1s.
28-10-2003, 01:32
One last assassin comes up with a heatseeking rocket and fires at the APC.
28-10-2003, 01:50
OOC: so, out of the 3 assassins, 2 were killed? If that's it then look below.

IC:
The last assassin fires it's rocket and the missile hits the APC right in the front. It explodes and fire spreads all over the hot metal carcass. Still, the shck doesn't slow the APC wich still continues to race towards the assassin. (the assassasin will most likely be hit by the APC or killed by one of the bodyguard.

Guerrila attacks increase on Reformist troops and supply bases. So far, three supply locations have been attacked successfuly and many more have been assaulted.

COnvoys are also a prime choice. 5 convoys have been, to date, totaly destroyed and 10 others have been assaulted without any progress.

In the mean time, Imperials are planing an audacious "tour de force" as they will try to retake the Galioli hills from the Reformists....

Secretary-General Brown announces today that any acts of aggression by the Attican Empire will be condemned by the Federation as unwanted interference in a sovereign nation's affairs and dealt with accordingly.

The Federation State Department has suggested that the Attican Empire could be placed on their list of nations barred from receiving any aid packages, thus cutting off any political, financial, and/or military support for the relatively fragile system. The Federation Navy Chief of Staff is reportedly drawing up options for punitive strikes against Attican targets if they start a war with the fledgling Reformist government in FPC.

Suddenly in the corner one of the screens on the coms gear lights up with a secure message, Mike gets up to read it and turns back to the Bigyin," Well it looks like we have some answer to your request to my bosses: First I am to be recalled home and either you and your inner circle are to come with me or a full insurgency advice team will be dispatched to aid you."

The plan was ingenious, take back the Galioli hills and inflict heavy casualties on the Reformist army. What did the Imperials had to lose? They knew they were dead anyway, only a matter of time. 2nd Battle of the Galioli hills (58 days)

Sypnosis -
The Galiloi hills were defended by only 8,000 Reformist soldier, 100 tanks & 40 pieces of artillery. The Imperial High-generals thought that by taking the hill back, they could hold it long enough to inflict heavy casualties on the Reformist soldiers who were going to try and take it back. That was the easy part... taking the hills would be thougher....

Forces~
Imperials - 200,000 infantry
Reformists - 8000 infantry

Day 1
The Imperial soldiers attack the outskirts of the hills taking little prisonners and casualties since the Reformists new of the incoming battle and had previously retreated into the safety of the hills.

Day 2 to 4
15,000 Imperials soldiers attack the hills from different areas but encounter difficulties when trying to breach the first line of defence in the hills. They retreat without breaching it.
Day 5 to 10
The Imperials again lauch multiple assaults but are beaten back every single time. They are begining to take heavy casualties.
Day 11 to 20
The Imperial high-generals finally decide to send massive waves of soldiers. Every available soldier is sent to the front. The Imperials manage to take the first line of defence.
Day 21 to 35
Imperial charges take a toll on the outnumbered defenders. The Reformists retreat to the third and final line of defence. However, in spite of the aparent Imperial near victory, the Reformists are well entrenched on the top of the Galioli hills where the third line of defence is.
Day 36 to 58
Day and night, firefights erupt all along the line of defence. Charges after charges of Imperials are repulsed by skilled Reformist soldiers. However, after 58 days, the Reformists have no more ammo and fighting spirit. What is left of them surrender to the Imperials.

Casualties:
Imperials: 56,350 KIA or WIA
Reformists: 7,568 dead / 432 PoW

Epilogue ~
Although a strategical victory for the Imperials, the sheer number of casualties are enough to give the Reformists a small tactical victory. Now, the Reformists have to take back the hills. This is what the Imperials have hoped for. If they can manage to hold on to the hills for 2 or 3 months, they will be able to inflict heavy casualties on the Reformists and this will perhaps lead to a stale mate and even an armisitce.

3rd battle of the Galioli hills (32 days)

Sypnosis ~
Reformist army has to take back the Galioli hills. The High-generals have assaembled an army of 600,000 soldiers to do the job. They will be strenghtened by 100 artillery and 170 tanks.

Forces ~
Imperials - 143,650 infantry
Reformists - 600,000 infantry, 100 artillery & 170 tanks

Day 1 to 5
Intensive artillery barrage. High Imperial casualties.
Day 6 to 10
Tank assaults on the 1st defence line. The quickly overpower the defenders wich have little or no anti-tank weapons.
Day 11 to 16
Surprinsgly well planned and executed charges bring down the 2nd line of defence. The Imperials have suffered heavy casualties without inflicting many on the Reformists.
Day 16 to 26
The Reformist artillery pounds the 3rd and final line of defence to near submission. On the 25th day, the Imperials mount a counter-attack charge but it fails miserably.
Day 27 to 32
On the 27th day, the Reformists mount a big charge but it is repulsed. Maybe the fear of being captured gave the Imperials a little fighting spirit. The next day, the Reformists order a full artillery barrage for 5 days.

This is interesting, this is the perfect example wich explains why the Reformists always manage to get back on their feet after a disaster, they think twice before making the same thing. They can learn pretty fast and they can assimilate the knowledge learned from their defeat.

On the 32nd day of the battle, the Imperials surrender under white flags.

casualties ~
Imperias - 139,005 dead / rest is PoW
Reformists - 49,978 dead / 14 tanks destroyed / 1 artillery destroyed

Epilogue ~
The last hope of the Imperial army of wining the war has vanished into thin air. Now, the civil war will be a series of guerilla battles and ambushes lead by a deseperate Imperial army. The strenght of it is around 400,000 men or less. Not enough to win against a Reformist one of about 50 million soldiers (only around 10 million are realy in condition to fight.)

12 ½ months after the 3rd battle of the Galioli hills...

!!!Victory!!!

Today, at 10:19 AM, the Imperial High-Generals surrendered themselves and their soldiers to the Reformist army. Around 800,000 Imperials gave up at numerous checkpoints and bases owned by the Reformist army.

The countys owned by the Imperials also opened their "borders". The population will not be harmed and will be given total redemption. However, our Prime minister, Yuri Gagarini says that at least 30,000 Imperial partisans are still armed and will not end the fight.

The total casualty list will never be exact but these numbers show that this civil war was a terrible event:

The Imperials lost over 2,768,612 soldiers...
The Reformists lost over 2,283,274 soldiers...
In the conflict, more than 5,051,886 FPCian lost their lives. Wheter Reformist or Imperial, it is all the same now as many families will now have to cope with the terrible news of their beloved's departure.

From: Crookfur regional command
To: Reformist command elements
Subject: Clearance for the passage of an airbonre assault group.

Dear Sirs.
As authorised by my superiors under the emergency operations act 2003 i hereby place a requeast that a small to medium sized airborne assault group be allowed to pass through your airspace enroute to making a personel recovery mission in the final bastions of the imperialist forces. We regret that due to operational security we cannot provide exact details of the constiuent parts of this force but merely state that it will contain fixed wing and rotary wing assets. The force will depart from a Crookfur naval task group as soon as it is possible to do so.
Yours
Vice Admiral Jason Henderson (CFSOC).

To Five Civilised Nations ~
Your embassie and consulates will be welcomed in the new FPC. We hope the buildings will be finished when the opening of the new New-Quebec will be celebrated along the begining of the elections. I am pleased that our two countries will have diplomatic relations.

To Crookfur ~
You have Reformist authorisation. Tough there shouldn't be much resistance left, be assured that there are Imperials left wanting to kill Reformists or allied soldiers.

>>> Scene: onboard a Crookfur carrier somewhere off the coast.

As the final Go command came through the command channel the darkened flight deck isntantly roared to life as Double Dragon fighters roared into the air, the Goth gunships began spooling upto speed and special forces personell ran to take thier places inside the kestrel rotodynes that sat patiently awaiting thier cargo, thier small wings literally dripping with fuel tanks and sleek deadly looking weapons pods.

Within 10 minutes the entire task force was airborne and crossing the FPC coastline, high above the dark shapes of the double dragons were joined by the massive deltas of 2 Super vulcans.

total forces commited:

2 Super vulcans in SEAD configuration
8 Double dragon fighters with a mix Storm shadow stand off missiles and brimestone tactical missiles
8 K47 Goth helicopter gunships
8 Kestrel transport rotodynes each carrying 8 sepcial forces troopers (64 troops)
2 K45 vandal light utility helicopters in comand and control/support role
2 tanker aircraft
1 AWACs aircraft
2 more kestrels on standby for medevac

Crookfur ~
As approaching the covert base of the Imperials, your aircrafts run into well hiden AA guns and modified trucks carrying medium AA guns. Though not the state of the are weaponry, they should inflict some minor damage.

"BREAK BREAK BREAK" Screamed the incomming fire detector as Sgt Walters pulled his Goth gunship into a hard jink to avoid a line of tracer fire that screamed out into the dark skies above.

All around the sky was rent assunder by the streams of tracer and flak that rose from the ground below, all of a sudden one of the other gunships took a hard hit

"mayday mayday this Rogue 5 we are hit and are going in for a hard landing request pickup, over!"

seconds later another burst ripped through one of the Kestrels creating a fireball

"dammit we just lost mother 2!"

But now the air group was returning fire, adding to the din and light show with streams of high velocity tracer fire of thier own lancing down with deadly accuracy to engulf AA postions, then the grou[ played thier trump card, as soon as a AA gun had opened up it had been logged by the groups sensors and suddenly a massive wave of rockets leap from launchers on both the gunships and kestrels, homeing in unstoppably on even rapidly moving targets delivering potent soft kill warheads (these would be my Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) Mk2 basically millimetric giuded folding fin rockets, each goth and kestrel has 40 of them)

Losses:
1 kestrel lost with all hands
1 Goth downed but crew intact
1 goth and 2 kestrels with minor damage

OOC: since the AA would have had to wait until the helos were on top of them to see them (any radar would have been dealt with by the fast movers) they had soem element of suprise but the goths are well armoured and manouverable and the kestrels are fast...
06-11-2003, 21:41
Lieutenant in charge of one flak gun :
"Come on guys, reload, reload! *helicopters dash towards him firing their MGs and rockets* ... Oh lord..."

*the flak explodes killing it's crew.*

The flaks and AA guns are nearly all destroyed since they were caught off guard. 8 Flaks and 5 AA on trucks are destroyed while 4 other AA on trucks escape.

Now, attacking the covert Imperial base will be harder since they know your coming but should still be a walk in the park for you highly trained soldiers...
