CRETAL CITY(CFP)-
A confidential memo was leaked yesterday from General Ilych Kukri of the Cretalian Self-Defense Forces to a foreign dignitary. In the memo, General Kukri offered to purchase five hundred nuclear weapons.
After the leak of this information, anti-nuclear proliferation protests broke out throughout the country. Walkouts at businesses from all sectors caused the Cretalian Stock Exchange to close for the day. It is unclear if it will reopen tomorrow. Protestors stormed the streets, bearing signs ranging from "EXPEL KURKI" to "IMPEACH GURAV," referring to the interim President Vladimir Gurav, who faces election next month.
Kukri has denied statements that he will willingly enter the Progressive Caucuses, saying "I am not at present actively seeking any party nomination. I will leave such matters to the will of the voters."
