KALMYKHIA DEVELOPS NUCLEAR SUBMARINE - LONDON TIMES
Today the President of the United Socialist States of Kalmykhia announced the launch of the first nuclear powered submarine to be produced in Kalmykhia since its secession from the former USSR in 1990. The submarine, known as the Yasey class (NATO reporting name believed to be "Tango"), was launched yesterday at the Novorossiysk shipyards. It is believed to be the Kalmykh counter to the Ohio class, which is so silent it makes less noise than the surrounding ocean. The Yasey is claimed to have the most advanced sonar system ever fitted to any submarine built by former members of the Soviet bloc, and is almost as quiet as the latest American submarines. The Kalmykh navy plans to acquire up to fifty of these subarines over the next five years, and also plans to offer a modified version for export.

KALEXPONAV - YASEY-M SSN

The Yasey-M has been designed both to protect homeland waters from aggressor penetration, above and below surface, and to prosecute enemy contacts in ballistic missile-launch danger zones. Containing the most advanced sonar, acoustic and weapon systems available, it is the only choice for a navy that wishes to hold its own in a dangerous world.
