i'm using this thread to advertise my military techniques, for sale now at extrotionate prices here where the foolish pesants roam!
I feel, since I’m eventually going to unleash my military forces on someone sooner or later, I should explain just why there so god damned ridiculous.
To begin with, I’ll explain the range of genetic improvements I’ve made to the general populace (“Think of the Military Applications!”)
Through various techniques, we have managed to work in some really neat new features that other governments would be hesitant to implement, these being,
Stronger bones and joints
An increased sensory perception: sight (5xbetter), stretching into low light vision and hearing
Increased reaction times
Greater healing capacity: (stem cell glands)
More efficient internal organs: unfortunately, you can’t have tougher organs and expect them to work better
Glandular Control: think of all the adrenaline! (X2 Glands!)
Genetic memory: based on standard Literacy, Arithmetic and advanced survival techniques (Ray Mears style)
(Though they still have to learn these things, it takes far less time for them to learn to a high standard.)
Training
Another major difference that sets my military apart from the crowd is the rigorous training they undertake. Starting form the age of 8 all children are required to attended training, until the ages of between 18 and 24 depending on what there talents are. However to gain the most from my recruits they are given psycho-indoctrination and mental conditioning to ensure loyalty to the state and bring about a sense of honour where fear is not an obstruction to the continuation of their mission and can act without thought. Hypnotism also plays a large part in the training of my armed forces, since post hypnotic suggestion can allow for troopers to memorise the geography of an entire nation down to the back streets of the cities in less than 2 weeks. It can also be used to memorise schematics of armoured vehicles and put names to faces for an entire company. Given this, my troopers are trained to be proficient in all roles on the battlefield from medic to sniper to anything else you could think of, allowing for troopers to recognise and take on roles as needed without direction. Admittedly this does create killing machines, so those not on active duty are given hypnosis to suppress the majority of training until directly ordered into active duty by a recognised superior.
Equipment
Is as follows for regular troops;
Projectile Shot Rifle, sniper capable (allow for eye acuity) Single to Semi shots
Side Arms, Standard pistol, Unobtanium short sword
Communication headset, Covers one ear, extends to mouth,
Armour, Carapace plates, impact resistant mesh
Kits, Medical and survival (relevant to location)
Grenades, standard fragmentation and flash bangs
Divisions
GI’s: As stated
Cloaked wing: this group has had their reflexes and visual sharpness enhanced to the highest degree allowing for the deflection of (some) incoming fire. Armed only with close range weaponry, usually a great sword, pistol and grenades. Named as such because all troops wear large cloaks to conceal their melee weaponry.
Magical researchers: are equipped with standard GI equipment, however they can use basic “magic” though mostly nowhere near as effective as their guns at present.
17th”Red Rain”: these are the elite troops of the nation, usually sporting increased genetic traits, these warriors are usually found protecting heads of state and other functionaries. They undergo procedures to grant dark vision (reflective pupils), and eliminating all doubt and fear. They are given implanted comm’s units and additional training. So called because, their increased abilities allows them to pick out arteries when shooting, resulting in a “red rain”.
The happy’go’lucky travel company: these troops run are in charge of the nations covert logistics. Running a business that runs tours all over the world by ‘plane, coach and luxury cruiser, allowing for a covert entrance into almost any country. Also, it runs at a tidy profit even after costs (Military efficiency at its best).
Given the ridiculousness of my infantry, military spending doesn’t really stretch into fancy vehicles and the like. As such you wont find air forces or naval forces, simply infantry, driving boats or piloting planes for transport purposes.
These listings are dependant on the outraged replies and me finding my notes and correcting. Feel free to ask questions, I’m sure there are plenty of places for misunderstandings to occur.
