How to avoid Godmoding for dummies:

I have noticed that many people do not know how to avoid godmoding or know what godmoding is. So I have made this thread all about it and how to avoid it!

What is godmoding? Also how to avoid it!

Godmoding is when some says that they have something they don’t. For example when some says they have nukes when they are a day old. But it is also when you declare casualties for another country in a war. It is also when you might say that you have some super power mega tone laser or gun of some sort. The best thing to do if your country designs a new type of technology or something like that is to make a R&D thread which means research and design thread. Also you want to make sure you are also old enough but you also have to take the factor what age you are in. If you are in present age and you come up with some sort of space technology when you are one day old, in that case it would be godmoding so that is why you should wait if you are like that situation. One good thing that you should do is come up with what year you are in, you chose a year then chose what your rate of speed is, so like 1 real life day=1 NS year. That is one that many people use because it makes logical sense. So in sort you should not declare what loses the other person has done always consider your age, your economy and what year you are in when coming up with technology.




Some good ages for tech!
<100 million people = ca. 1,800 tanks yearly, same number of artillery, 1 million rifles , etc...

200 million people = ca. 70,000 every 4 years tanks with a economy better than very strong (the Soviets busted out 73,000 T-34's in the 4 years of war)

300 million people = 70,000 yearly

For coming up with nuclear weapons you should wait till you have a pop of 100 million plus people, because look at the US they had pop of like 150 million or something like that and that’s when they came up with it. Unless you get help then you should wait this long, but if you got help you don’t have to but say who helped you.

On that you want to replace the part that says Nation=nano soft, you take out the nano soft part and add the coutry your looking up.

Yea, and that should be cap...no really that should be the cap because if your producing more than that your wasting alot of money on worthless steel cases which arent going to be used.

Well, after WW1, the Weimar Republic ordered Corporal Hitler to gather intelligence on the growing power known as the National Socialist party. He was corrupted by them and by various anti-semetic propoganda going around at the time. He had the utmost respect for the former Kaiser, as is shown when he did NOT kill him after various attempts by Wilhelm II to get Hitler to reinstate the Monarchy.

No, hitler was a war idiot. Hence he invaded the USSR. And declared war on the United States. And cancelled Operation Overlord. And in Russia, pulled back troops to take the Stalingrad pocket, which failed. And killed Rommel.

You should wait until you can actually have a military before warring, and it helps to have a reason. For instance, if a 1 day old nation said 'I'm going to invade you now!' I would simply deploy a battlefleet to bombard your coast, then occupy and annex you. Your invasion means null since you are stuck fighting a losing guerilla war with sticks since you have not purchased guns yet.

When you declare war on somebody don't just post the amounts of military forces you plan on sending. If you ever say, "I attack with 500,000 men and 10,000 tanks" I will kill you and fast.

First, you can keep the men but distinguish between the tanks used, and if they are your own nation's tanks provide some basic info on the technology and caliber of the gun.

Also, post supply, maintenance, engineers, etc... SUPPORT!!! Your army isn't going to get far without proper support. You might also want to declare shipments of petrol, food, water, etc monthly or annually ( I do it).

Finally, post what the mobilization is going to cost you. For troop numbers over 1 million dont post anything below 1.5 billion a day.
