They cost $3 billion, we have completed 3, after the 4th goes to our navy we will fill the back orders for the navies of nations who have already pre-ordered.
25-10-2003, 01:13
THE ARMED REPUBLIC OF CYBER FUSION WILL BUY 1 OF THE NORAD CLASS SUPER BATTLESHIP.
MONEY WIRED UPON CONFIRMATION.

How fast does this behemoth go?
25-10-2003, 01:24
We have alreadydecided to limit the purchase of these ships to 4 per nation and now have decided that only established navies may purchase these. The reason being we do not want to risk one of our vessels, being left unprotected, to have one of them be sunk in combat, while being commanded by an inadaquate navy, well the affect would be bad on morale. So if your nation was founded after june, please state proof that you have or will have sufficent naval resources to properly escort and support this vessel.

pending your proof, we will confirm the order, it should take 5 (NS) years to complete as there are several orders ahead of yours.

Speed:

Offical Response: About 25 knots

OOC: 32 knots

25-10-2003, 02:22
Bigger is better  Btw Thats the equivalent of 4
small nuclear submarines bolted to the underside of
the hull heheheheh.
25-10-2003, 02:25
I would like to pre-order 2.

Its hard to find all my posts, since my nation was deleted but here is one:

http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=55985&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=40

Please keep in mind that my nation was young than, and since our defeat we have put an extra effort into naval construction and now our navy is quite formidable, composed of several battlegroups and port defense squadrons.

Our officials wonder why Antarctica123 put Patriot on this ship instead of SM-2s (AEGIS suite required), and Stinger instead of Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM).

Armament

(7) FIM-92X Stinger quad launchers (28 total) mounted on 7 CIWSs
(2) MK 87 Vertical Launching Systems (14 Cells each) (SM-2 SAMs, Harpoons,Exocets, or Tomhawks)
(3) PAC-3 Quad launchers(SAMs)
(12) SAM-7Y Advanced Sea Sparrow missiles.

Omz222, as you can see the 2 Mk87 VLS can fire SM-2s.
Also as for the reason of using stingers, it is becuase of the mounting (on the sides of the Phalanx Turrets) which caused us to choose the stingers.

Altaran, We will not sell you the battleship unless you sell us one of your battlecruisers and also sign a non-agression pact, simply stating that you will not attack us first and we of course will agree not to attack u first, and that no military action will be taken upon us unless we fire first and vice verasa.

Cyber Fusion, many people use 1 day = 1 year others use 1 week = 1 year
I use 2 days = 1 year but sometimes it changes, I like to think I use fluid time but for simplicity purposes I'd say you'd be fine with 1 day = 1 NS year.
26-10-2003, 22:48
Damn big target.

And, los of space on the decks. Shame to waste it.

I dont think i want one., anyway.
26-10-2003, 22:57
It's not really any bigger than a Nimitz.
Agrigento

It's not really any bigger than a Nimitz.

I really think it would have to be, with all the stuff you have onboard. Considering that the Iowa class battleships are 888 ft length, and have no where as near the amount of equipment on yours, while Nimitz are 1,000 or so ft. They would have to be much larger somewhere, be it in length, height or beam.
26-10-2003, 23:02
well.. look at the picture. From the water line to the deck its about the same height, the width is less as is the legnth.

Smaller then a nimitz class. :)
04-11-2003, 02:31
Submraines can dock with it also.

First of all, you know the Nimitz is about a mile long, don't you? So saying it's shorter than the Nimitz isn't saying much at all. Second, that looks a lot taller than a Nimitz, about 1.5x the height. I think that you need to work on the scaling on that drawing a bit.
20-11-2003, 05:56
First of all your realize you are talking out of your ass don't you?

A Nimitz Class Carrier:
Length, overall 1,092 feet (332.85 meters)

1 mile = 5,280 feet

thanks shut up
