Maniacan scientists try to "de-nukify" nuke

24-10-2003, 20:28
The Maniacan nuclear missle, underground at an undisclosed location, is bubbling with uranium and plutonium. If these ingredients are expelled with the destructive force they are capable of, not much will be able to grow around that area, and it's occupants can contract leukemia over the years of being there, even if they're not around when it was exploded. Maniacan scientists are trying to change that. Exploding with the same destructive force, but not with the extreme lasting effects. There are several theories at the moment, but we will keep you posted.

Maniacan Nuclear Control Ministry,
We have a suggestion, why not launch it into space and detonate it at a safe range? You said you already have it in a missile, can you not simply launch it up and not have it re-enter? When it gets a good million miles away, just blow it up. Then you don't have to worry about it anymore.

you could always blow up the next n00b nation to try to take over the world

The Allied States of Big Long Now is willing to overtake the dismantling of this nuclear missle from Maniaca before it destructs. We will send a ship equipped to handle the threat of spontaneous explosion in the next 24 hours to take this matter out of your hands.

We're not exploding it, just if we have to, we want it to not make the land it explodes on radiological!

BLN has an island that is uninhabitable due to a failed nuclear experiment years ago, and can detonate the missle safely there in a matter of days, without any harm coming to anybody.

The island is 400 miles off the coast of Big Long Now, its called Despair Island, and everyone within a 700 mile radius of Despair Island has been vaccinated against radiation poisoning.

The cargo ship is to arrive within the next two hours.

NO! We're not destroying/detonating it anywhere in less we have to use it in a war! Where just trying to make it so that it doesn't infect the land it blew up on with radiation!

well, why don't you just ditch your nuclear program and begin working on EMP weapons. Much easier without the risks involved with this project. We would allow access to out uranium research facility however, that would be against UN policies so, we cannot help you on tha5t front. We would galdly donate 250 mil USD to help your cause (towards EMP tech that is)
24-10-2003, 23:29
No thank you. I think we've got this under control. We'll just let you know about our developements.
24-10-2003, 23:30
are you a a member of the UN?
24-10-2003, 23:31
Nope.
24-10-2003, 23:33
well that is ok. Our scientists are on standby in case of nuclear accident. Please note, although we condem ur keeping of wmd's we accept that since you are not a UN member, that is your sovereign right to do so. That is all - Exetonian External affairs
24-10-2003, 23:34
Okay, great. Thanks. Keep in mind we have one, while others smaller than us have whole yards full of 'em.
24-10-2003, 23:36
Ok, we bear this fact in mind e.g, Undisclosed planning on launching nukes! However, we have a research project into more valuable uses for uranium going on. Are you interested?
24-10-2003, 23:38
Nah.
24-10-2003, 23:39
Ok but, the offer from the Exetonian government remains open.

Great. Scientists are messing with the Zykosis natural compound to find a humoungous explosion. Due to the nature of this rock, it is likely they will find what they want.

This missle is not going to go away, you need to find a means to disarm it, because we will not watch hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions lose their lives due to their government. The BLNEPA still has the ship waiting off of the shore if you may change your mind.

Well, if you're determined....Go ahead and land at one of our docks, and let the crew members stay here for a while. We'll give you the fuel you need if and when you decide to go back. But we are not going to give up our nuke.

When Zykosis rock is exposed to heat energy extreme enough to induce sublimation, it expands horribly rapidly. Say you fill an aquarium halfway with water, and drop in a Zykosis rock. Close the tank airtight, and as instantly as possible, heat it to temperatures around 600 degrees. The aquarium would shatter within 1 second of being heated to max. Not from the heat either, that's been tested also. The thing is, the expansion is not powerful. It would not flatten a city, more like mold to it, and then float up to the atmosphere, to wreack whatever havoc it wreaks on atmospheric gasses. We don't know the environmental effects of Zykosis gas. However, if this can be mixed with some other type of gas, like VX or Mustard gas, it may work better. However, then you have the effects of VX or Mustard gas to contend with, with in a missle, could be worse than a nuke. Don't go ballistic(sorry, bad pun), we won't be using mustard gas in our missles. We can definitely find something less agonizing and crippling to use than mustard of VX gas.
