Red revolution errupts in the armed republic of rebel grots!

Following the tragic death of president Waaghman in an accident involving a speeding escelator, the country has been plunged into anarchy. Vicious fighting has errupted throughout the land between differnet factions all bent on seizing power from the crumbling regime. Vice-president Gazkhull, recently critisised for his communist views, leads one of the largest factions, the red revolution. Under the slogan of "rebel grots, rebell!" They have gained major support in the capital city of Waaghmangrad (unofficially renamed Gazkhullgrad), and the south of the country.
In the east however, the untill recently opressed capitalist views are surfacing. A unknown leader known simply as "the voice of the people" has been gathering support. and in the north, a fascist faction has emerged from the foothills and are securing their hold on the nations main industrial cities. And in the west, the tattered remains of the president's regime still hold sway, his advisors are doing everything to secure their riches and survival.
Civil war seems iminent, as the poor country is divided in every way.

Today, however, vice-president Gazkhull sends a plea for help to the rest of the world in order to avoid further bloodshed. Loss of life is unavoidable, but a massasre of innocents is not acceptable he said.
He further urges nations NOT to take major military action, as this will completely destroy the country's ifrastructure and fragile economy, along with all hope of a democratic future.
The message to the world is simple.....Help!

General Theodore of Communist Likon sends 10,000 troops into the capital to restore order. He implores the factions to come to peaceful agreements over the future of their nation, and is willing to act a referee upon their approval.

Communist Likon's valiant efforts to restore peace are met with public hatred. Most people look at the force now en-route as an invasion force. And pleads of peace fall upon deaf ears in the factions.
The red revolution reports that an entire village has been exterminated by the capitalists, while they in turn say the same of the fascistsm who in turn blame the dictator regime, and they blame the communists. One thing is clear, innocent people are dying.

The Democratic Republic of Cogsville sends 4000 troops to the aid of your country. The region of Gimptopia is happy to help with any military or economic aid requirements your region and/or country requires. We only require that a political and military alliance be set up between our two countries after the fighting ceases.

I am the Empress Marina Vladiovna Romanova of Flamazon. I am very worried about the fact that your nation seems to be at the brink of a massive civil war that would indeed engulf it in bloodshed and misery. I will immediately if I am permited to do so, send 15,000 of my elite, hig-class Imperial Forces to: 1)try to arrange an at least temporary treaty between the fighting peoples. 2)Help to build refuges where the innocent civilians can go to. 3)Advance the Communist/Socialist views in your country, I am an Empress that rules according to Communist ideology and as you may see, it is working marvelously. I shall aid you in any way that I can.

The United Socialist States of Andorice offers 1,000 Medically trained personel, it also offers the use of negotiators to keep any conflict from turning to violence. It also wishes to send its condolences to Rebel Grots, and know that you are in the prayers of all Andorice as you work through these tough times.

Seeing that the only way to settle this revolution is with force, the National Senate has passed a motion to send military forces to act as a peace-making force, then act as a peace-keeping force.

(official statement): The Democratic Republic of Shiftless Peons hereby officially and formally recognizes the Communist Government of the Armed Republic of Rebel Grots. With the utmost compassion, the DRSP extends the hand of friendship to our Socialist brothers and sisters of the Armed Republic of Rebel Grots. We gladly donate a quantity of twenty million various pro-communist propaganda leaflets, ten thousand liters of vodka, and are moving to divert a portion of our beet and potato crops to assist the residents of Gazkhullgrad in these trying times.

(behind the scenes): Several DRSP agents and Gubanian Partisans are set to secretly accompany the relief shipments. They will spread throughout the countryside and attempt to "facilitate a favorable environment" for the communist faction.

While we sadly have little to offer in the way of assistance, we would at the very least like to donate a clone of Lenin to assist you in your rallies, and you may also have three million confiscated bicycles if you so desire them.

The PRG would also like to take the opportunity to summarily denounce your Fascist faction, and would gladly offer troops in any effort to erase that festering sore from your landscape.

Realizing that any squabbling between nations recognizing the Communist Government of the Armed Republic of Rebel Grots will do absolutely nothing to improve their situation, for the moment we will retract our offer of a Lenin clone. Perhaps the Empress would be so kind as to suggest a more ideologically sound alternative?

The DRSP wishes to convey our government's recent approval of the donation of one hundred tons each of fresh potatoes and beets, in addition to the supplies previously mentioned. Because of the perishable nature of these goods, they are being prepared for delivery immediately and will ship tomorrow morning in anticipation of your timely approval and acceptance.

Also, keeping in mind your request to avoid military action, we are moving to call up 5,000 members of our National Police (who also happen to be part of our military reserve) to assist in establishing and maintaining the security of your territory. Though technically a military action, we have no problems deploying them in a civilian police role in civilian police uniforms. The DRSP awaits your approval.

We would like to send 2,000 obsevers to monitor the situation and guard innocents from any and all troops attacking them. Air and naval support [numbers not released] will also be sent. We will remain for 1 year/until the end of the conflict, whichever comes first.

OOC:What is your nation like in ecology/weather/geography? I need to know this to determine how my troops should act

There is nothing more essential in a situation such as this than to send equipment (military in case a real war breaks out), medicines, and food. As already mentioned, the nation does have a government and if they wish to be officially reckognized then they must be prove themselves capable of handling this to a certain extent on their own. By this I mean that a beaurocrat such as your Lenin clone would not be appropriate, the Communist government must make their own decisions and with our help in supplies and possibly some negotiation, a fine and worthy nation will be established. I have made my contributions and since Flamazon does not produce many of our medicines, I shall soon hold some talks with the Roanian Ambassador in order to see if Roania may be able to render some aid in the form of medicines. In only a matter of a days or possibly as long as two weeks due to some business I have pending, I shall board a plane to the country in need. I hope that the Communist government can plan a meeting between all of the nations who are helping and that we may all talk about what will happen to the Armed Republic of Rebel Grots. Hopefully our nations can enter an alliance. Please respond as soon as possible. Thank you.

The shipments are en route via air. Expect their arrival by this evening. We request your urgency in accomodating this transfer and setting up the appropriate distribution network, as it would be a shame to leave it all rotting on a tarmac somewhere. Several civilians will accompany the shipments to assist you in this regard, and members of our National Police will also be present to provide immediate security for both the shipment and our equipment. If it is desired, once the consumable portion of the shipment has been released, we will be able to air-drop the leaflets wherever you may need them as our transports return home. We once again await your timely response.

Hattian companies have decided to donate and airlift medicine and food in for the citizens. They should arrive within the week.

(from The People's Voice, the State newspaper of the DRSP): The stench of rotting vegetables permeates the air around so-called "Gazkhullgrad". With no government officials on hand to receive the relief shipments and no distribution network whatsoever, DRSP relief workers have no choice but to depart the Armed Republic of Rebel Grots. DRSP Officials released the following statement this morning:

Though we have lent our assistance to these ingrates, they still do not even acknowledge it. The entire mess smells like nothing more than a treacherous plot to receive free arms and supplies from sympathetic nations. By touting various "factions" who happen to encompass a wide swath of the political spectrum, they were more than sure of acquiring "relief" from nearly everyone who heard their calculated whining. They even went so far as to request that no troops be sent. Might it have been easier for them to accomplish their nefarious plan without foreign soldiers nosing about? The DRSP thinks so. We are recalling our units in the Armed Republic of Rebel Grots, cancelling any and all further relief shipments, and formally censuring, denouncing, relinquishing recognition, and severing all diplomatic ties with the treacherous, ungrateful and deceitful so-called "Communist" government of the Armed Republic of Rebel Grots. That is, if such a government even exists.

National Police units deployed with the shipment are expected to arrive ready to combat the DRSP's ever-growing "Lemonade Issue". It is also reported that the prices of beets and potatoes are on the rise, this being attributed to the two hundred tons of decomposing DRSP produce left in two huge piles at the Ghazkullgrad airport.

We hope the communist faction wins

In the northern foothills, a hulking man in a burgundy cloak scours the region, attempting to make contact with the fascist faction's leaders. Upon making contact he offers aid from his ruler, the Lord Reaver of Pantera. It seems that he has taken quite the interest in this little rebellion, and sees a powerful ally in the new fascist regime. His terms are utter secrecy, the word and bond of his new allies that should we start this, it will be to victory or to the grave.
