---East Asia News Network, 20:32 Local Time---

Pictures flash up on the screen of a huge fireball, ships can be seen burining and dockyard cranes are seen half collapsed. Massive fires rage all over the Port.

"This is a live shot from the Port of Sinagapore where approximately one hour ago an explosion was reported on the Liquid natural gas MV Malaccan Eagle it now appears that this started a chain reaction and although so far no emergency sevices have been able to reach the striken vessel it is estimated that there will be few survivors. The Maritime safety agency has reported that over 11 other ships were in the Port at the time including many foreign vessels, a spokesman said also that this is 'a catasphroic incident' as yet no information has been released as to the cause of the incident but the prime minister and president have been moved to secure locations as terrorism is suspected. The Republic of Federal Singapore has recently been the target of several minor bomb attacks and piracy is rampamnt across the region.

Thank you for watching East Asia News Network, stay tuned for updates as they arrive."

Missing in action: the SS Dead Man...the whereabouts of this ship is as of yet unknown. The course was plotted to the west, however, with a return trip coasting the Singapore Port.

Any information the whereabouts of this ship would be greatly appretiated.

Maybe instead of focusing on a terrorist incedent, you should look into shipping and port saftey protocols. They could be lax enough to cause such an incedent-my nation will confer with the UN, and check our shipping record to ensure that thier were no casualties involving our citizens. :!:

Ministry of Transportation, Press Room.

The Minister's spokesman approahces the podium loooking stressed and uncertain.

"Good Evening, I'm afraid I have some sad news: Shortly after hearing of the tragic explosion at the Port of Singapore, the Elias Marine Shipping Corporation contacted the Minister to say that the 36,000 ton container vessel Ocean Reach had been docked in Singapore after returning from a voyage to Royal Brunei with purchased military equipment. According to the Ministry of Defence Procurement and Export the ship would have been empty on its return journey but it seems that the ship nevertheless would still be aden with diesel fuel so a fire such as this would have caused huge damage aboard the vessel, unfortunately the Singaporean authorites have yet to inform us of the fate of the 42 strong crew. At the moment we are requesting than an investigation team be allowed to inspect the Port in due course to assist in finding the cause of this event. Until terrorism or a foriegn military attack has been confirmed as the cause this remains an issue for the Ministry of Transportation only.
Thank You and Good Evening."

The government of Singapore wwlcomes any foreign investigation teams but we must warn that the blaze is unlikely to be completely extinguished for several days. Although little information is available as yet we can confirm that the SS Dead Man was not in port at the time of the explosion but had left hours previosuly. If the ship remains unaccounted for we will dispatch a P-3 to search for it as pirates operate regularly in the Straight of Malacca.
