Crew: Pilot and Weapons Officer
Dimensions: -Length: 25.18 m -Wingspan: 12.59 m -Height: 6.05 m
Weight: 18,620 kg Loaded; 34,630 kg Maximum
Engines: -2 Republic Dynamics TF-900 turbines -2 TF-220/A-14 combined cycle engines
Armament: -1 25 mm Gatling gun (900 rounds) -32 150 mm Mk. 16 Banshee 70 (unguided missile) -12 70 mm Mk. 10 Zeus (unguided missile) -8 120 mm Mk. 88 SGW (unguided missile) -7 AGM-220C Hellhound missiles (air-to-ground) -3 AGM-204A TSAM (Threat Suppression Attack Missile) -3 AIM-90E Headlock missiles (air-to-air)
Payload Bay: 103.6 cubic meters
Design: The UD4L is an aerospace capable dropship and tactical transport that is able of lifting heavy payloads up to 16,000 kg It is able to attain orbit under its own power from unprepared landing sites because of its vertical take-off (VTAL) capability, which makes it more flexible than other craft. It can also operate as a close-support gunship by using its own internal gun and deploying weapons pods and hardpoints for rockets and missiles.
Airframe: The cockpit and mounts for the lift engines are forward of the payload bay. To the aft is a raised tail assembly on which the ramrocket engines and control surfaces are mounted. The payload bay is flanked by the tri-skid undercarriage to the sides and aft.
Payload Bay: The deck ramp can comfortably carry a fully-crewed M577 Armored Personnel Carrier with its turret stowed. Once inside, latches automatically extend to hold cargo in place when the deck is raised. To the aft is a step gantry which can be lowered to allow the crew access. Three seats are available in the forward section of the bay for passengers and additional crew.
Cost:6,000,000 per dropship
M577 APC
http://www.serenadawn.com/Alien-Apc.jpg
Crew: 2 to 12 passengers
Dimensions: -Height: 2.81 m, 2.17 m with turret stowed -Length: 8.58 m, 9.22 m with turret stowed -Width: 3.38 m; 158.75 cm wheel diameter -Clearance: 22 cm
Weight: 14,500 kg
Engines: Arco Continental R-370 Gas Turbine
Armor: -2mm outer skin alloy -4mm Boron Carbide plates backed by 3 mm woven Venlar liner -foam packed floor cavity
Speed: 150 km/h
Acceleration: 42 km/h in 6 seconds
Vertical Obstacle: 0.5 m
Gradient: 60%
Design: A lightweight, mobile, well-armed and inexpensive APC capable of being transported in the UD4L Dropship and created for use as a multi-role vehicle for a lightly-equipped rapid-reaction force. With a 4x4 wheeled design, it does not perform as well as tracked vehicles over rugged terrain, but its lighter weight makes it a more reliable vehicle. It is powered by a 286 kW multi-fuel gas turbine engine with a fully-automatic, electronically-controlled transmission system. Armored tires provide protection against small arms fire and splinter.
The chassis is made of bonded titanium and has a 5 cm foam packed floor cavity to protect against forged-fragment mines. Even though its ground clearance is only 22 cm, a hydro-pneumatic active suspension can boost the clearance 30 cm to give the M577 the ability to avoid vertical obstacles up to 0.5 m. Its armor protection can deflect small arms fire, fragmentation, and low-velocity armor piercing ammunition. It cannot withstand fire from tank-killing dedicated weaponry.
Crew and Passengers: The M577 APC is operated by the driver and section commander and has space for 12 passengers. Each seat is equipped with yoke harness restraints for orbital combat drops. The interior can carry ammunition and supplies for up to three days of combat. To the rear of the crew compartment is the Tactical Operations Center where the section commander can maintain contact with the infantry through audio-video linkup and can monitor the battle in real-time.
Weapons: The turret assembly is carried on a rail track that runs down the back of the vehicle, which allows it to be moved to the APC's rear, reducing the height of the vehicle so that it can fit in the payload bay of the UD4L Dropship. The turret is fully self-contained, including ammunition and power supply, and can be tilted up to 15 degrees on all axes. The weapons within the turret can be elevated or depressed ranging from +85 to -7 degrees. From the Tactical Operations Center, the section commander has target acquisition and weapons control. There are also independent, automated targeting systems.
Cost:500,000 per APC
M41A Pulse Rifle
http://www.monstersinmotion.com/weapons/pulseriflestatic.jpg
Type : M-41A Pulse Rifle 10mm with 30mm pump action grenade launcher and Digital Counter
Ammunition: 10mm explosive tip cassless standard light armour piercing round .M-40 Grenades
Capacity: 99 rounds
User Notes :"The M41A Pulse Rifle is the standard issue for all TSD troopers. It fires a 10mm Explosive Tipped Caseless Light Armour Piercing round. The M41 uses electronic pulse action to fire, controlled directly from the trigger. The internal mechanism, including the rotating breech, is mounted on free-floating rails within a carbon-fiber jacket. This assembly is recoil dampened to reduce the effects of muzzle climb during burst and full automatic fire. From the thumb selector, the weapon can be set to selective, four-round burst, or full automatic fire, the latter allowing a rate of fire up to the weapon's cyclic rate of 900 rpm"
Cost 4,000,000 for 1000 Weapons
M240 Flame Unit
The M240 is in reality, a lightweight carbine-format flamethrower. It is designed to be solely used in close combat situations at the squads and fireteams level. The weapon uses a pressurised, ultra-thickened Napthal gel as a base and is ignited at the nozzle burner, and can be used to cover an area up to 25 meters. Once as the target is hit, the gel will adhere and continue to burn for up to one minute.
With a sufficient fuel in a standard fuel reservoir for up to 20 bursts, the flame-thrower is considered to be one of the most fierce weapons in the marines armoury, and has even been useful in close combat situations and as well as xenomorph exterminating operations. However, this weapon is one of the most unpopular with its operators, basically because of the fuel reservoirs tendency to rupture violently when hit by shrapnel or from small arms fire.
