The honorable Chairman Jacob Phon has authorized this lowly one to announce that the People's Republic of Calcednie is today embarking on a great scientific project: to map the products of the human genome, from gene to protein to function. Nations interested in collaborating should encourage their scientists to attend the 1st Annual Genomics Conference in the research city of Huxley. Calcednie looks forward to taking the next great step in understanding those most basic mechanisms which make us human. The goal may be lofty, but with dedication answers will certainly be found.
