Useful RPing Idea
Hey, if you don't think you know how to RP, its just like writing a story. Except its always gonna be from thrid person limited point of view and usually has to be realistic.
If you can't write stories go for the next best thing personal expression, type up what you would do, feel, react, etc. Please though realize you should really limit you use of Foul language seeing as this is a game and anyone can really play.
Why the hell am I giving advice? Well actually I'd really like advice to be given and shared. These were the one that helped me, try them they might help you. Hell I really could use advice.

I like your idea of writing a story, I've written a few *they suck...just stuff to pass time* but they are basically how I would use a war RP here...of course it's been a while since my last war RP so I might be a little rusty :oops:

a couple, I got the President's daughter, and the Prme Ministers great-nephew both in combat. and as a twist...they're related. :D got serious inspiration from another book I read.

Exactly how, praytell, would the US take on the world? They might be the only super power, but that only means there's no individual country that's on their level.
Not to mention the civil unrest that would erupt in the population and military alike.
Actually to have a fair war with the U.S. you would have to get the nations of Russia (nuclear power), China (Army), Japan (technology), Britain (Navy/Army), Germany (Army) and for kicks why not toss in France.
well non-nuclear of course. how would they get to our shores. our Air Force and Navy would destroy ANY fleet that they could send. we have more Aircraft Carriers then the world combined * I think*

we'd crush mexico in a week *quicker then the first time* Canada is a problem...but I think with billions of USD in spy satellites for space we would see massive troop movements going to Canada. I always did get to full of my countries power...a big flaw of mine :D

I don't know...depends how long the war has been going on before the invasion of the US. if it is a long time...their screwed, no one can take on a fully revved up America. producing 1 AC a month, 1 ship a day, 1 bomber an hour, and lord knows how many tanks. just logistically impossible. 35 million man army to fight through on the boarders.

right...but now we 448,000 people in the army...and it's very overextended. not a war with the US fully mobilized and most of the army within its borders.

An aircraft carrier a month... what are you using, WW2 production figures? And 35 million man army? That's only 10% of your population; you'd be shipping out cannon fodder, at best, and the strain on logistics would shoot your war effort in the foot.
You're also assuming the population will go along with it; there'd be enough properly placed people against the war, as well as Joe Averages, that the US war effort could be run into the ground on the home from via sabatoge and the ilk.
Frankly, I think it'd likly turn into a massive stalemate, with neither side being able to gain any long-term victories on forgine soil, until the weight of the world's industrial power and sheer population eventually descended upon the US in an ironic reversal of WW2. Assuming the US's own population doesn't screw over the war effort.
