Describe your weaponary.

Seeing as I am almost completly defenseless in terms of a regular military(please don't attack because I said that...), I have funded my Special Forces a lot. These are the weapons they carry.

ARMOURED PERSONEL CARRIER (APC)

The M577 APC was designed as a lightweight low-cost vehicle which could be stored onboard a dropship for easy transport. The chassis is made of bonded titanium, with a ground clearance of 22cm. The M577 APC has a crew of two, a driver and a section commander, and can have a maximum of 12 passengers. The interior of the APC is also very spacious, allowing for room for weapons and equipment storage. The rear of the crew compartment houses the Tactical Operations centre, where the section commander can view sensor screens and maintain contact with the onboard infantry.

Armament

Weapons onboard the APC include dual front-mounted RE700 20mm gatling cannon, and a rear-mounted turret which moves on rails which run down the back of the APC. The turret can be one of three variants: M577 A, which is a phased plasma cannon, M577 A1, which is a pair of free-electron lasers, or M577 A2, which is a charged particle beam cannon.

UD-4 'CHEYENNE' DROPSHIP

The UD-4 'Cheyenne' is a versatile dropship and tactical transport vessel that forms the staple of the TCMC Aerospace Division. Capable of 16,000kg payloads, the UD-4 has evolved into the definitive dropship design. With the vessels ability for verticle take-off landings (VTOL) into hot LZ's, internal guns, weapon pods and hardpoints for various rockets and missiles, combined with its orbital capabilities, the Cheyenne is the perfect close support gunship.

Armament

The typical Cheyenne armaments include a 1x25mm gatlin gun with 900 rounds, 32x150mm unguided rockets, 12x70mm unguided rockets, 8x120mm guided rockets, 7 AGM-220 air to ground missiles, 3 TSAM threat suppression missiles, 3 AIM-90 short range air-to-air missiles. A Dropship will be typically armed with the following. 1 gatlin gun, 2 32x150mm unguided rockets, 2 AGM-220 air to ground missiles, and 2 AIM-90 short range air-to-air missiles.

Powerplant

In order to be able to operate in all speed and altitude regimes from vertical take-off (VTOL) hover to the hypersonic trans-atmopheric, the UD-4 requires two types of powerplant. The main engines are a pair of Replublic Dynamics TF-900 variable-cycle turbines, each producing 310 kN static thrust. Each engine has a three-stage fan and seven-stage compressor each driven by single-stage turbines to produce exceptionally high thrust for low specific fuel consumption. High-altitude high-speed flight is permitted by the aft TF-220/A-14 ramrockets. The TR-220 is a combined-cycle engine capable of ramrocket and scramrocket operation from the supersonic to hypersonic regimes, and rocket power for transatmospheric operation. In an assult or shuttle operation, a Cheyenne usually has sufficient fuel to drop from orbit and achieve a low-orbital injection on its return. Descents can be made both powered or unpowered, dependent on the mission profile, though an injection burn from the rocket engines is usually required to reach a descent window from orbit.

Weapons of the Renardian Army
2003 Edition

Preamble

The United Socilist States of Renard has never maintained a large or especially cutting edge military. It's military is small, well trained and well motivated, carrying a mix of traditional and new weapon systems. It stands ready to defend it's country at any time from any threat while at the same time retaining the flexibility to respond to the challenges the world poses.

Information

Represening the largest component of the Renardian Military, the army comprises of 7 infantry regiments and 4 reserve. An armoured regiment is currently re-equiping with locally refitted and re-equipped equipment. All troops are trained in the use of all the equipment they will use in their career as a soldier, including anti tank and air defense missiles and vehicles.

Those soldiers who exhibit a flare in any given arm of the military are invited to take their training further. A process which ultimately results in the nation's small special forces unit.

Equipment:

Standard Rifle: R1A2 (Locally manufactured FN-FNC), 5.56 NATO. Fitted with removable scope.
Standard Infantry Support Weapon: R(S)4 (Locally manufactured) FN-Minimi, 5.56 NATO.
Standard Anti Tank Missile: MILAN/Firebird (Import being phased out and replaced with a locally manufactured version, "Firebird")
Standard air defense missile: Starstreak (Import, local version in development)

Vehicles:

Hassan Class: Standard "battle taxi" used in all regiments for transporting troops, built with a focus on speed and reliability, this vehicle is the main stay of the Renardian military.
Other variants include the "Dougan" (Anti Tank) and Oaken (Air Defense)

Armed Forces of the Republic of HPSauce:

Infantry
2000 Elite Troops with Sauce-Launchers
A patented design, the weapon functions simularly to an RPG, a bottle of sauce of fired via the launcher onto unsuspecting enemies. See sauch types section for details on sauce capabilities.

8000 Regulars armed with G41s
We chose to break from the mould here and use standard weapons. Less deadly, but cheaper.

1000 Medical and Sauce Research division
For the development and defense towards sauce based weaponry.

Airforce:
5 Sauce Bombers
Planes armed with more advanced versions of the Sauce-Grenade used in Sauce launchers.

Sauce Types:
Standard Sauce: Standard barbecue sauce, similar to that which is used on ribs. Ordinarily not very dangerous, merely annoying, however when combined with Bees in a jar, this sauce based weapon becomes to trigger for a flurry of insect stings.
Demo Sauce: Sauce with an extremely high concentration of HPSaucian exploding chillies. Very dangerous. Do not shake.
Noxious Sauce: Sauce 6 months past its sell by date. A good substitute for toxic gas.

My nation of future international mediators of conflict and facilitators of wisdom have been very recently enacting a program to further develop the use of mind powers.

Stemming from research into the possibilities of the human mind and the reality it senses, Himes' Congress of Telepresence searches the general population for candidates of psionic training. While the methods are classified, the results are intended to be peace keeping. Our defense is responsorary and preventative, seldom offensive. Psionic power enables the Himes' Sage (facilitator of psionic power) to read and influence, move objects, and predict events.

While the sage is required to wear no physical protection of his or her physical body as a symbol of the peaceful nature of the power, the Sage may choose to surround themselves in natural armour (buildings, materials nearby, etc.) when his or her life is threatened. To reiterate, while this power is still being refined and tested because the nation is still in its infancy, there is a strict code by which the Sage must follow.

A formal announcement by the Congress of Telepresence will disseminate all information regarding the Himes Sages and their responsibilites to the world.

Peace,

Chancellor Himes
(political advisor and humanitarian. Developer of the Psionic Method and leader of the Congress of Telepresence).

No pictures, but plenty of info. We believe in victory by superior firepower and tactics. Note: This army is about thirty years in advance of the current day.

F-28 Raptor (Atmospheric air superiority and ground support fighter)- The twin tail finned Raptor is designed to be faster, more maneuverable, more capable of taking damage, and more heavily armed than anything else flying. Though it’s primary function is to shoot down enemy aircraft, it is a more than capable ground support aircraft. Equipped with advanced stealth systems and weapons, most opponents never know what hit them.

Weapons:
(Note: all weapons except the Vulcan gatling cannon are housed in an internal weapons bay to reduce the plane’s radar signature and improve airflow.)
1) Six 20mm Vulcan gatling cannon each capable of 6,000 rounds a minute firing depleted uranium shells.
2) Five hundred, thousand, and two thousand pound bombs unguided (With optional smart (read: guided) capability).
3) Adder air-air missiles with heat seeking, radar, laser, and optical guidance systems. It capable of locking on to a target from anywhere between ten feet away to more than eighty miles away (This missile is capable of outrunning and outmaneuvering almost any target, it never misses).
4) Clusterbomb dispersal unit (Exact type varies with target).
5) Shark air-ground missile, with heat seeking, radar, laser, and optical guidance systems. Used for destroying tanks and other armored vehicles and structures.
6) Tracker anti-radar missile. Used to destroy SAM and AAA sites.
7) Napalm/FAE (Fuel Air Explosive).
8 ) Trailblazer cruise missile, a low level terrain following missile with passive stealth systems, it is capable of destroying targets hundreds of miles away with pinpoint accuracy.

Equipment:
1) VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) capability (This combined with multiple maneuvering jets located around the Raptor allow for maneuvers previously believed impossible, the Raptor is capable of going from mach 5 to a dead stop in under two seconds, a nasty surprise for tailgaters).
2) Radar stealth systems (This includes the Raptor’s already low radar signature with radar absorbent material and active radar reflection).
3) Optical stealth systems (The skin of the Raptor is capable of being polarized to perfectly match it’s surroundings, this system also controls the display of markings as opposed to having them painted on).
4) Extremely low infrared signature (This is achieved through a cooling system as well as placement of the engines).
5) 20,000+ mile range with optional air-air refueling capability.
6) 35,000+ pound bombload.
7) Maneuvering jets (Small jets located around the Raptor, in conjunction with the VTOL system they give the Raptor unparalleled maneuverability).
8 ) Ducted twin jet engines (With a cruising speed of mach 3.2 and capable of mach 5 in full afterburner, there is nothing flying that can catch it).
9) Ramjets (Used at high altitude they are capable of propelling the Raptor up to mach 9. At low altitude they can only reach mach 7 due to air resistance, and then only for a short time because of excessive heat due to air friction).
10) Radar system capable of detecting and identifying enemy aircraft out to five hundred miles.
11) Bubble canopy (Provides excellent all around visibility, the few blind spots are covered by high definition cameras).
12) Cooling system (This serves the duel purpose of reducing the infrared signature of the Raptor and preventing excessive heat build up during ramjet flight).
13) Radar detection system (Used to detect enemy radar).
14) Low-grade inertial damper
15) Redundant backups for all critical systems.
16) Armored cockpit (Capable of withstanding even a direct missile hit).
17) Chaff and flare dispensers.
16) Radio and radar jamming systems.

M-93 Wolverine Main Battle Tank- Despite weighing in at “only” fifty-five tons, the Wolverine is quite capable of destroying anything on the ground or in the air. With an unmatched combination of speed, firepower, protection and mobility, the Wolverine is able to outrun, and outgun anything it is likely to encounter on the battlefield.

Weapons/Equipment-
1) 155mm main gun (Able to accurately fire over thirty rounds a minute out to six and a half miles with direct fire, it is also able to act as a mobile artillery piece, firing out as far as twenty miles in some cases).
a) Armor piercing sabot (A solid depleted uranium shell, it relies on mass and velocity to punch through the target’s armor).
b) High explosive (A hollow shell filled with explosive, it detonates on impact causing a spray of shrapnel, used against unarmored targets and infantry. This shell can also be equipped with a proximity fuse for air bursts and a delayed fuse for hardened structures).
c) Fletchette (Strictly a close range anti-personal round, it releases thousands of two and a half inch nails at supersonic velocities, vaporizing enemy troops).
d) Mine deployment (An artillery round, when it detonates, it covers an area with a combination of anti-tank and anti-personal mines).
2) 37mm phalanx gatling gun (Used for a combination of close range anti-air and anti missile defense, it can also be used against light armor and infantry).
3) .50 caliber co-ax machine gun
4) .225 mm chain gun mounted in front of the commander’s hatch.
5) Two racks of Headhunter surface-air missiles with heat seeking, radar, laser, and optical guidance systems, as well as wire guidance.
6) Short range passive and active radar systems.
7) GPS navigation system.
8 ) Laser, infrared, low-light, and acoustic sensors.
9) Twin turbine multi-fuel engines capable of propelling the Wolverine at up to 100mph over rough terrain.
10) Adjustable suspension system.
11) Molecularly bonded armor.
12) Snorkel system (Allows shallow underwater running).

Armadillo APC- Standard personnel carrier for the Grimdalian army, it is heavily armored and designed to operate in concert with the M-93 Wolverine while both carrying troops into combat and providing fire support. Many variants of it are used for everything from mobile aid stations to ammunition carriers.

Weapons/Equipment-
1) 37mm phalanx gatling gun (Used for a combination of close range anti-air and anti missile defense, it can also be used against light armor and infantry).
2) .225 mm chain gun mounted in front of the commander’s hatch.
3) TOW anti-tank missiles.
4) GPS navigation system.
5) Laser, infrared, low-light, and acoustic sensors.
6) Twin turbine multi-fuel engines capable of propelling the Armadillo at up to 120mph over rough terrain.
7) Adjustable suspension system.
8 ) Molecularly bonded armor.
9) Firing ports for troops.
9) Snorkel system (Allows shallow underwater running).
10) Short range passive and active radar systems.
11) Capable of carrying a full platoon of troops.

Jackrabbit (Fast Attack/Light Patrol/Reconnaissance Vehicle)- Used mainly for patrol and reconnaissance duties, the Jackrabbit is the fastest ground vehicle in the Grimdalian army and is highly favored by special forces units. Also, modified versions are occasionally used as a field ambulances and mobile command posts among other duties when heavier vehicles are unavailable.

Weapons/Equipment-
1) .225 gatling ring mounted chain gun or a TOW launcher
2) Two .30 cal. swivel mounted machine guns
3) Firing ports for passengers
4) Four wheel drive
5) Run flat tires
6) Adjustable suspension system
7) Two multi-fuel engines mounted at opposite ends of the vehicle that are capable of propelling the Jackrabbit at 157mph.
8 ) Crew compartment armored against small arms
9) Snorkel system (Allows shallow underwater running)

Franklin class light cruiser- Relatively small, it is fast, and heavily armed for its size. The Franklin class light cruiser is well suited for everything from escort duty to sub hunting to shore bombardment. It is also more than capable of taking on larger and more heavily armed warships if the situation should require it.

Weapons-
1) Sixteen 5 in. dual-purpose guns mounted in eight twin turrets (Each gun is capable of over forty rounds a minute for a total of over six-hundred-forty rounds a minute).
2) Eight 20mm Phalanx close range defense gatling cannon (Each is capable of 6,250 rounds a minute).
3) Four 21 in torpedo tubes with anti-sub capability.
4) Two depth charge racks and four depth charge throwers.
5) Twin rack Bloodhound surface-air, surface-surface missile launcher.
6) ASROC four-cell missile launcher (A missile tipped with either a depth charge or a torpedo, perfect for when you need to reach out and touch someone under water).

M-35 Assault Rifle- Standard issue for Grimdale’s military forces. Firing a .30 caliber slug at high velocities, it is capable of penetrating even light vehicle armor. Accurate out to two and a half miles without a scope and able to accurately fire several types of ammunition (AP, APHE, HE, and Fletchette) at over fifteen hundred rounds a minute. It uses either a normal thirty round magazine or a three hundred round drum magazine. The rifle also has optional attachments for a grenade launcher, a mini rocket launcher, and a scope that allows accurate shooting out to six and a half miles.

Model 2002 MacLeod- Taking a cue from the very successful assault rifle design, the Grimdale armament industry built an entirely new pistol to a set of demanding military requirements. Using larger rounds than the assault rifle, the pistol looks to outward appearances like an oversized Colt .45. It also uses different ammo types (AP, APHE, HE, and Fletchette). While not capable of firing as fast, as far, or as accurately as the assault rifle, it is capable of semi-automatic fire. It is the standard issue sidearm of all branches of the Grimdale military.

The AMC Divisions are the elite of regular troops, receiving enhanced training and equipment. They are designed to move quickly through hostile territory so their divisions are heavily mechanized. These divisions are the tip of the spear for any Elias ground assault and each division is designed to be a pre packaged army with no need for other supporting units. Divisions will operate many types of vehicles but may not choose to deploy with certain types depending on the tactical situation.

The total force listed below is split into five equal size divisions, further divided into four equal size battalions. There are always two AMC battalions on 18hr combat readiness. There are therefore 4,400 men in each battalion and 17,600 in a division plus 400 division command/administrative staff.

"Describe your weaponary": Well, in the main 'tis shiny, generally quite sharp. On occasion it may be found rather longer and less lustrous, and perhaps descending from atop a pachyderm or camel.
