((I know what you're thinking. "Raem, the Ultimate Villian, Second Only To Morgoth The Dark God, is raiding a fellow Villian?!" Well, yes. Someone asked me to. Very nicely.))
There was no formal declaration of war, no warning, no van to betray the presence of the strike force. Only half a dozen squadrons of Scourges, skimming low to the ground, travelling under the cover of night. They do not go far, pausing at the first settlement of size they find.
A full day they wait before attacking, searching the surrounding landscape for a suitably hidden place to erect the webgate. Too, then, they wait half of that night, gathering the strength of the raiding force. Squads of Mandrakes set up a perimeter of a klick, their shadowy hides of great use in picketing against being discovered.
