Personally i would have followed RL trends and used double delta wings like pakistan used on thier upgraded F-7s (chinese F-7s based on the MiG21). Have you upgraded the cockpit? becuase soviet cockpits of that time are rahter unfreindly (the MiG23 is down right aweful).
