Organised Crime hits the streets of Rosent
*A van pulls up quickly outside a warehouse, from the back five men dressed in the Rosentine Trooper uniform get out. As the five men line up against the wall, another man comes out of the passanger seat and heads to the back of the van. Where he picks up a hook which is attached to the van by a large steel chain. The man attaches it to the bar on the door and noods to the driver. The van goes forward and the doors come flying off the hinges. In a split second the five men are in the building and after 10 minutes have cleared the building and recovered 10 kilos of cocain.*
100 other raids went on that night. This series of raids brought the large Cartel - Dragons Blood to its knees.
The police are targeting many other Crime organisations across Rosent as crime has reached an all time high. The people blame the Cartels and 'Families' so the Police and Special Forces have put into place 'Lance'.
We would like to ask other nations who have had problems similar to us, to suggest any methods of getting rid of these crminals.
We would reccomend compulsary military service, not only does it help to build up a signifigant force for defence, but in our experience, keeps many crimes low. Alebit, our state has the military service implemented for those of a youth age, and this may not be an answer to your problem, but consider it as a long-term solution.
Sincerely,
Icentom Home affairs secretary: Justice division
Allow your police to use excessive force. The Imperial Police force is only an extension of the military, and our crime ratesm are incredibly low.
I will take this into note. Thank you both :)
I would recoemnd a national card system that tracks people whereever they go. It REALLY cuts down on crime.
We recommend using your military as your police force and making the death penalty the standard punishment for any law breakers. After the first few shoot out where the last thing the criminals see is a MBT main gun barrel, crime will drop real fast.
amen to grimdale - couldn't've said it better meself. about the MBT, though. not about the death penalty for everything. death for jaywalking? please.
we use torture for highly serious crimes. we also have no qualms about sending in a heavy armor division with specfor and air support to take on a drunk guy with a machine gun, if necessary. and we have no loopholes in our legal system that would allow a mafia drug lord to get away with 2 years probation, when the actual crimes would warrant life.
we also like to avoid crimes in the first place. we have no drug laws except that they must meet health/ingredients standards, be properly labeled, etc. we keep our people happy. given that we're a benevolent dictatorship (technically not, but we were for a while and intend on becoming so again), it's also what keeps us in power.
oh yeah - if you ever need any help in dealing with crime, organized or not, we'd be happy to provide more local advice, and firepower.
Thanks for the advice.
I am going to think up the best way to sort this out. I am going to make sure we have no loop holes, undercover agents wil be brought in the help and a list of people who can be 'shot on sight'.
I might also relax some laws on drugs. But gun tradding will be clamped down on.
well, the thing with the drug laws part is that it basically means restructuring your entire government system and political ideology. same with the guns, if you had decided to redo those laws as well.
another thing about gun laws - if you restrict gun ownership without having a viable police force first, it'll mean that ordinary citizens will be powerless to fight against organized criminals. it's the situation in russia today. you either have to have a good police force to make sure that the laws apply to all, or allow the commoners to have weapons.
Rumaniac has for many years had a extremely competent police and military forces.
They have the right to do as they please to stop the crime on the streets.
Organized crimes has not been a problem, except for the ones my policeforces stands for.
The downside though is that people starts riots and protests.
But again, with a powerful policeforce, that's not too much of a problem either.
Alshim Dahiz - Emperor of Rumaniac
Gun laws were already very strong but I will be backing them more. I will also train more police officers.
With the gun laws only people with licences can own a maxium of three guns, any more and they all go. Anyone seen using their firearm in a dangerous situation will be arrested and guns taken.
Anyone with a gun will be able to bring it to their nearest police station were they can hand it over, no questions asked. This stops in three months and depending on how well it does we might do it again later that year.

I also recommend (besides the yr service which I fully support) that you make it a point to indoctrinate them early...very early. Public schools should give indoctrination lessons into the values of your country, as well as why the government is the side of good, and deviating is wrong. A system of cameras in all public places also helps. Finally...in y country, we practice two controvertial ideas. One is chemical incarceration..the person is made to stand, paralyzed..days on end. THe other, is the use of rapists and murderers to play for their survival in a series of "games", where the family of the victim hunts them down with traps and weapons.
Perception is everything.

I would not give your police force complete power, because then if they become corrupt, theirs no way to stop them. I also would'nt put the military as your police, as it could cause serious damage to your cities. Military troops are trained to destroy, not to arrest. As for the death penalty for jaywalking..please. What would work best would be a few police forces per area, with nice budgets, and nice training. Look at the US system..it's pefect (almost). Allow me to show you how many police forces should be in the area of (this is a fake name) Liberty City:
Liberty City Police
Liberty City Sheriff's Departments
County Sherrif's Department
State Police
Some federal agencies (Such as DEA, FBI, etc.)
You need to give your citizens the right to make the choice to be or not to be criminals...but if they make the wrong choice, you should be ready.
