Terrorists aren't "trained". They're usually "converted". Even a drunken monkey can run onto a plane with a bomb strapped to itself, but it takes a certain kind of individual to strap that bomb on and willingly blow himself to smithereens.

Such an individual motivated by Jihad and devotion to Islam. Religion has always been a stronghold where humanity has leaned on. However a deadly weapon it might be, it's very concept can manipulate people to do things beyond reason, regardless of morality. It's not to say that Islam and all other religions are bad, I hold respect for them as I do all belief (within the bounds of normal human reason), but how it's applied in terrorism...

Exactly. Terrorists essentially use the religion of Islam to inspire others to join their cause. On its own, Islam is a perfectly acceptable religion. It's the way it's utilized that inspired such animosity towards it.
