Aikiro Space Shuttle for sale

19-10-2003, 19:19
Space Technology Center of Japany has completed the Aikiro Space Shuttle
it allows up to 15 astronauts to join a space station that is behind the moon in less then 3 hours using Ion Engines that as soon as the shuttle enters space it deploys solar panels to charge the energy and convert it to Ion.

The Shuttle is reusable for an unlimitted amount of time.

Turning Solar Energy into Ions, Impossible!
An Ion is an Atom that has more/less electrons than it has protons. This means that an ion is a particle with a nucleus and Electrons with a charge of something other than zero. All Solar Energy is is energy, in order to create an Ion you would need some form of matter to create the Ions with.
To the Mon in 3 hours, thats impossible! It took the Apollo spacecraft four days to reach the Moon, and with your False Propulsion system, i think you should lower your price so that i can buy it for scrap metal like to -1 trillion.

Exetonia would like to purchase two of these. Our buget is taken from our populous of approx 467mil. we have an oppresive tax rate of about 27%. Most of this is being spent on military and police however, we want these ships and have diverted our 'military buget' to get them. We hope to use them to build our spacestation japany.

Don't buy this, he can't get his science right

No offense, but ion engines work by sending negatively charged ions out of a positively charged mesh. They are useless on Earth, NASA's only push out about .02 pounds of thrust.

To get to the moon in three hours, it would be necessary to be going in out and around 100,000 kph, or roughly 3.6 times faster than the Earth goes around the sun. While that's not impossible... it would be feasible only by Plasma or Nuclear fission based rocket engines (these are all real, BTW).

If you're a space nation/future-tech, you probably have fusion which means the fusion rocket, a hypothetical propulsion system capable of reaching 20-25% light speed. Antimatter rockets, another hypothetical propulsion system have a hopeful speed of 50% the speed of light.

Still, keep in mind that NONE OF THESE WORK TO LAUNCH SPACECRAFT, ONLY TO PUSH THEM AROUND IN SPACE.

Again, nothing personal, but... you know.

And you're too young for a space program.

Fulovit: Yeah, this guy doesnt seem to understand the basic grade school physics. But its hardly impossible to get to the moon in three hours as long as you're not chained by the limits of real life technology. Its quite possible to reach moon in that time, dont keep it impossible only because our limited knowledge of space exploration does not allow us to get there faster.

Hah. Another moron who can't get his science right.

By the way, that is an ugly-assed shuttle if you ask me. I would perfer the old shuttle anyhow.

OOC: Guys this is roleplay and i thought not everything had to be as realistic as possible? i've seen people say they had some kind of shield on their space station that opens up a black hole sending all rockets elsewhere, uhm plz tell me how to create a blackhole ....

im buying 5 of these shuttles 8)

Yeah... like I said in my post...

Yeah, he's way too young to have spacecraft, let alone the fact he's just taking "spacey" words and using them in ways that are not physically possible.

Exetonia: huh?

The Rogue Nation of Exetonia is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its strong anti-business politics. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 5 million are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

Also, how do you get 15 people in that shuttle? It looks so tiny!
19-10-2003, 19:50
bah i dont get this roleplay thing, some people have uber ion guns

someone explain...

and i thought the Smart 1 Satellite is using Ion that is a conversion of the solar energy which lets them use the engine forever, do you people watch the news on TV?

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF BOA VISTA

As Boa Vista is developing its first space rocket, we are in need of technological assistance and cooperation from other nations. Those who are willing to cooperate with us and build a space rocket or shuttle, please reply to this post.

Sincerely,
Antonio Carmona
President of The Commonwealth of Boa Vista

Some people have "Uber Ion-Guns" because they have populations into the BILLIONS and have FTL travel, etc.

He's not too young if he's starting as a space nation.....

Exetonia opens it's borders to u for use in getting a nice big supply of uranium out of our mines as a fuel source for 5 bil.

Let's keep in mind he doesn't have the capability to even MAKE the shuttle. Every time I see little nations making space programs, I think of this true, yet incredibly hilarious, story-

It is just called the (something with the word solar in it, I can't remember), but it is, like I said in my post of science which nobody read, which would have clarified the thread up just fine...

Like I said... it is merely positive ions being shot out of a positively charged grid. The repelling charge pushes it forward. That's the basics, and I really don't want to deeply get into it.

A space nation would probably be more advanced than that... And his science is still garbage.

He wouldn't have time or the resources to research such a thing.

DUH. Thank you captain obvious! Population DOES MATTER for the simple reason that from people, comes money. If 5 million people make $30,000 and have 20% of it removed, it won't equal near as much as 1 billion people making the same money at the same tax rate.

Yes. The more people you have, the more money you make. Also, you just came into existence.
From the GDP calculator-
Japany Gross Domestic Product
Population: 5,000,000
Civil Rights: Unheard Of
Economy: Thriving
GDP per Capita: $20,000
GDP: $100,000,000,000
National Budget: $18,216,000,000
I doubt you have the necessary funds, unless you decided you don't spend money on anything else.

Hey, jeez, guys. No wonder NationStates isn't growing, every time a n00b comes we wail on him. Go easy.

Japany, I think you ought to read the stickies at the top of the forums. They're a lot of help. There weren't as many when I came to NS, but the new NS players guide was. I suggest reading it.

(Don't worry... I made one godmodding post and got the same scrutiny as you did)

So, just read the stickies.

Mushroomius: Indeed, 'tis is starting to look more and more like some of the worst debating forums i've been on where the n00bs are horribly smacked around the minute they step in and make a mistake no matter how small. Or then they are ignored completely. We should be kindly teaching the new players on the mistakes they make instead of burning them on the cross.
