I will not recognise anything that anyone says is copyrighted (especially things that exist in the real world).

Hence, here is the official 'Shove Your Damn Copyrights' thread. Anyone who disagrees with copyrighted NS materials should post here, and thus form an 'anti-copyright brigade', so to speak.

I Totally agree, its not legal in reality, its not legal here. Sure, some things ate different, but as a chancellor of a free nation, i have free speech.

No one after me can make up anything on ns and call it aurora class, if its a rl device they have to say rl aurora.

Ummm well there would be a huge problem if one could'nt use similar names. Just look to RL for instance, i don't care much if someone uses the same ship as mine. All i ask for is a credible IC explanation :)

The Aurora is a real life bomber. IH's aroura is most likey a toaster with flashlights (space craft). I would suggest just make a name for your toaster (space craft) is all. It wont hurt. And the US copyright law has absolutley nothing to do with the game. Totaly separate. Cut the crap now. I have already reported this thread.

You can copright something that your nation produces, like my T-103 tank. The TROUSRS-103 is not able to be produced by other nations because I own it.

Actually the correct term would be technological patents. Copyrights extend to written works, film and the stuff like that.

You can patent your version of technology but not the technology itself. IE nobody can patent ICBMs since they are a singular type of technology but one can patent their version of an ICBM that has 24 MRVs in it.

Now if he'd Trademarked Aurora things would be different since he's trademarking the name not copyrighting the wrong things.

Basicaly you can patent the T-103 but you cant complain when someone makes a tank that has the same sort of specifications if that was the case the US wouldnt have aircraft carriers, and what not...... It's just basic common sense technology is open to everyone but stealing someone elses plans is just bad.

I could make a tank that had a 150mm cannon and someone else made the same sort of tank wit hthe same weapon. As long as they didnt steal my plans I cant do didly to stop them ;)

Copyrights = STUPID. If I want to make something called an Aurora or a T-103 with similar specs, then that's up to me. You can't go to war over the name of a plane/tank/missiles/ship/whatever.
