Feline Storefront(PIC WARNING)

Feline
19-10-2003, 01:41
Some semi IC, semi OOC Comments first:
We use and sell things who technology level ranges from 2003-2050. We're sort of just-before-"space tech." We even have three space cruisers, but without FTL drive and on the smallish size. You should be able to use all of these things in a near-future tech RP. The quantum computers are probaly the most sophisticated things, probaly just around the 2050 level. The next down (some would say tied, or more advanced) are the maglev tanks, which run on an in-character technology called Quantum Reactors. In a process similar in effect (but not in process) to fission, but producing no nuclear waste, able to run on any matter, and producing slightly more power in a much more compact frame, the strong nuclear force (the quality of matter that holds atoms together) is slowly leached out of matter fed into the reactor (certain elements work better than others. Typically, the higher the atomic mass, the better.) The strong nuclear force then is used to turn a series of turbines on the nanoengineering scale (The only real nano-tech we currently have). Next would probaly be the battlesuits, which are slated for real-life integration into the armed forces in the year 2025. The lowest tech you probaly will find is under the military clothing section.

FIST

This software is strictly military. FIST stands for Feline Intelligence Software Technology. It provides complete and total information synchronization among all units equipped with it. It heuristically adapts itself to your equipment, battlefield conditions, tactical and strategic doctrine, and the individual soldier's style. It incorporates command and control, point-and-touch/click command interfaces.

It is the most sophisticated system in use today... anywhere. Most nations can only buy the Export version (E-FIST), although trusted allies (Read: UNAOTO Members) can buy the individual versions, that all synchronize together through C-FIST. The desired version of FIST must be bought for each unit to use it. While it does not take a lot of money to produce, we seek to limit the proliferation, hence the high prices. FIST is already installed on battlesuits and tanks.

N-FIST=Naval
G-FIST=Ground
A-FIST=Air
S-FIST=Space
C-FIST=Command (For your commander in chief and/or generals)
E-FIST=Export
EC-FIST=Export Command

EC-FIST: $10,000
E-FIST: $8,500
N-FIST: $9,000
G-FIST: $8,500
A-FIST: $9,000
S-FIST: $9,500

Human Transporters

Range: 13-19 Kilometers on a charge

Operational Temperatures: From approximately 0 degrees centigrade to approximately 50 degrees centigrade.

Payload: 118 Kilograms

Platform height: 21 cm

Footprint: 48 x 64 cm

Weight: 38 Kg

COST: 2247.5 Paw Marks

Advanced Model

The only difference in terms of specifications is that it weighs 43 Kilograms, but it has the following features:

 Cargo Packs
 Can stand up without a rider on it for the safety of the cargo
 Our model is designed so that the cargo packs on the advanced model can be removed, and any of our ionised beam weapons put in its place, giving calvary tactics a comeback. :)

Technologies

Quantum Pingers

Fire special particles, energy waves, etc. at objects to determine a wide range of data- an advanced sensor suite. Approximate year tech level: 2040-2050s.

Price for technology is negotiable. Package includes working model of both power levels, plans for the technology, theoretical models, and a e-book you can distribute as much as you wish within your country only that serves as an engineering textbook for the technology.

Magnetic Levitation

Advanced electromagnets use the large mass of the NationStates world to either (in the case of "ground" vehicles, like the tanks below) levitate a few meters off the ground, or in the case of aircraft with more powerful electromagnets, cause lift. Approximate year tech level: 2020-2040s.

Price for technology is negotiable. Package includes working model of both power levels, plans for the technology, theoretical models, and a e-book you can distribute as much as you wish within your country only that serves as an engineering textbook for the technology.

Quantum Reactors

In a process similar in effect (but not in process) to fission, but producing no nuclear waste, able to run on any matter, and producing slightly more power in a much more compact frame (At a minimum, a cube 1.5 meters for dimensions). The strong nuclear force (the quality of matter that holds atoms together) is slowly leached out of matter fed into the reactor (Certain elements work better than others. Typically, the higher the atomic mass, the better.) The strong nuclear force then is directed to turn a series of turbines on the nanoengineering scale. Approximate year tech level: 2050s.

Price for technology is negotiable. Package includes working model of a reactor, plans for the technology, theoretical models, and a e-book you can distribute as much as you wish within your country only that serves as an engineering textbook for the technology.

HyperJet

Used for propulsion of most of our vehicles. These improvements on turbojets use magnetic fields to manipulate the air inside, which means that these offer more thrust, can vector the thrust out the front or back in a conical range of 1 degree to 89 degree angles. Also, thrust is enhanced by Temperature Flux Energizers, devices which vary the internal temperature in varying parts of the stream to make the thrust react better with the surrounding air.

Price for technology is negotiable. Package includes working model of a engine, plans for the technology, theoretical models, and a e-book you can distribute as much as you wish within your country only that serves as an engineering textbook for the technology. Approximate year tech level: 2040s.

Ionised Beam Weapons

These ionise the air with two ultraviolet lasers, allowing electricty to pass through. Works like a very long range taser with more flexibility. Have multiple stun settings, and a kill setting. Also can short-circut electronics on metal vehicles. All come with production rights to the powerpacks, put in like a normal magazine. Pictures of the humanoid version are shown, but a version for any species is available upon request. We have machines that convert, based on blueprints and schematics of the firearm version and the Ionised Beam Weapon version, a firearm to an Ionised Beam Weapon. We use conversions as the primary weapons for our military. We only produce a few models (which are not for sale) of purpose-designed ionised beam weapons.

P-99 Conversion

A modified Walther P-99 serves and ionised beam pistol.

Has ten pre-set settings.

COST: 1,750 Paw Marks

SA-80 Conversion

Our new primary assault rifle. Incorporates the long-asked-for integrated digital targeting camera, which previously was not built into the weapon, and soldiers wished for one that was integrated with the other controls and their combat suits. It also includes the manual control as well. Other minor improvements include:

 20 Pre-Set Settings, rather than 18
 Ergonomic Bullpup Design

It should also be noted that it does not suffer from the reliability problems the non-converted SA-80 does.

http://world.guns.ru/machine/l86a1.jpg

COST: 5,000 Paw Marks

XM312 Conversion

The standard heavy machinegun for Feline Forces. 30 Pre-Set Settings, and a full manual control system.

http://world.guns.ru/machine/xm312.jpg

COST: 8,000 Paw Marks

M3A1 Conversion

Designed to be the cheapest Ionised Beam Weapon available. Not used by the Feline military, but sold for export. We began producing an outdated submachinegun, made out of the cheapest metal possible. We then turned it into an ionised beam weapon, with only two settings: 1 Hour Stun, and Kill. Despite its cheapness, it is extremely reliable.

http://world.guns.ru/smg/m3a1_2.jpg

COST: 200 Paw Marks

Walther PPK Conversion

A small, compact sidearm, used by our intelligence and special operations forces when concealability is a must.

http://carl-walther.de/images/ppks_gross.jpg

Cost: 400 Paw Marks

KPV Conversion

This immensely powerful weapon ahs been designated as an "assault ionised beam weapon" intended to take out large numbers of troops at once or easily overload vehicles. Twice as much maximum "juice" to be poured into the target as the XM312 conversion, thirty-five settings, and a wide area mode that can ionise a conical area through sweeping ultraviolet lasers in up to just a few degrees short of a 180 degree fire arc. Also includes full targeting computer.

Battlesuits

Battlesuits are air-proof uniforms designed to improve the way a soldier functions in the field. They incorporate minimal weaponry. All of ours are tightly woven out of carbon nanotubes, thin fibers made out of buckminsterfullerene, a form of carbon and the strongest material known. All are equipped with E-FIST, or G-FIST for trusted allies. Ours are the first, and the best, in NationStates!

Light Battlesuits

(OOC: Read this article:

http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/DailyNews/armysoldierofthefuture_010626.html

What we use is detailed in the first section, minus the "chameleonic camouflage." There was a Popular Science article in the July 2000 issue that detailed it down to the individual components. It is expected to fully enter service with the real life US Army around 2025. They are not exactly the same, but the general concept is.)

http://abcnews.go.com/media/US/images/ho_soldier_21st2_010621_ss.jpg

(Shown holding an ionised beam pistol (OOC: That's just a prop for demonstration purposes of the concept for press releases from the US army in actuality. :) ), of a special model with classified capabilities, that is not for sale.)

Has a display built into the helmet's viewscreen, a comlink to headquarters and others in the unit, a small camera mounted on the helmet that can transmit live, full integration to all ionised beam weapons except for the P-99 Conversion and the M-16 Conversion, full NBC protection, a rebreather for underwater and inhospitable air operation, a built in climate control system, a water pack the soldier can drink out of at any time, a two-setting (10 Minute Stun/Kill) ionised beam weapon mounted on the wrist for backup to the main weapon, and a Transdermal Nutrient Delivery System. Newer models, only sold to trusted allies, feature a tranquilizer dart in addtion to the ionised beam weapon, a rear-mounted camera, and a smoke emitter.

It is powered by fuel cells. Each cell lasts six days. It has a outer layer, which is pure carbon nanotubes, a middle layer, which carries power to all the systems, and an inner layer, which monitors lifesigns.

It is truly the next generation in infantry technology.

Does the computer have a SATA contorller? Also, is the memory controller on the motherboard or the CPU?

Yes, our computer has pretty much every acessory imaginable (So no one else has any reason to ask in the future.)

The memory controller is on the motherboard to allow it to be more easily swapped out if it needs upgrading or replacing.

THE DICTATORSHIP OF DOLNER ISLAND:
We would like an immediate order of all of your items. We need about 100,000 of each.
We are willing to pay 25 Billion Dalners(our currency)for everything we have asked and are willing to pay more.
There will be civil unrest now that we have converted to dictatorship and we need as much protection from rioters throwing objects at us.
Feline
19-10-2003, 02:36
OOC: That comes to 5,394,500,000 Paw Marks, which is 10,789,000,000 Dollars, which is too much for you. I'll check before sending hte order.

According to a table based on your economy that gives an approxamate figure for the average monthly income of your citizens, multiplied by your population, and then by your tax rate, your government takes in $3,520,000,000 monthly. According to your nation profile, defense is not a budget priority for you. So, you can't afford this as one lump sum. We could work out a payment plan though.
19-10-2003, 02:43
We'll just print out some more money.
You'll get it all.
Don't worry. We're dictators we can do what we want!!
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some punks outside my office to throw in jail.

Renard: Order Confirmed. We hope you will find them satisfactory. They can shoot until the curvature of the Earth, although accuracy is decreased because the ionised air spreads out more as it travels longer. (The one thing I forgot to mention.)
19-10-2003, 02:46
Don't worry about it.
We already threw half the rioters in jail.
Our civil unrest has become now a minor-civil disruption.
Besides we don't print our money on land. That is printed at a smaller off-shore island.

Feline, how much "ammunition" (energy buffer capacity) are in the
P-99, M-16 and P-90?
Feline
19-10-2003, 03:09
Dolner Island: Not likely. We have over one billion citizens, and a frightening economy. You have 8 million citizens, and a very strong economy. In other words, we could destroy you without batting an eye. But, we're not going to, unless you attack us first.

Adejaani: It depends on how much electricity you put into each shot, but I would guess around the same amount the actual gun itself can carry (I use that myself, so...) But, they're nothing preventing you from developing your own powerpacks for them, that could hold as much as you want (of course, they would have to be larger.).

Feline: Most fascinating. What about the range? It's because I use the M-16 still, because of its longer range and accuracy, while the P-90 is used for close in assaults (urban warfare, say).

For now, we'll purchase 100 of each of P-99, M-16, P-90 and also a hundred Heavy Battlesuits. How much is that in US Dollars?
Feline
19-10-2003, 03:33
OOC: EDIT: I figured the price. It is posted IC below.

As for the range, it is theoretically until it hits the curvature of the Earth, but the accuracy would probaly signifigantly drop off at some point. I don't really know hard technical specs on Ionised Beam Weapons... I read an article a few years back on a website that unfortunately went under about how they were in development. I remember the basic operating principle, and that currently they have backpack sized units, but that it was expected to go down in size as they develop more efficient power storage technologies.

IC: Your order is being shipped. It comes to 1,500,000 Paw Marks, or 3,000,000 United States Dollars.

Ahem. Despite the UN Category (which, by the way, is faulty as it has never accurately reflected), we're not. We're a Communistic Militaristic Democracy.

But it's your choice to not to business.

EDIT: I should also ask what you base this "Dictatorshipness" on. We hold elections in our country (it's rather much like America, only the Executive branch has far more autonomy and powers than America). It's just "convenient" that everybody loves the government so much they barely change.

We have never oppressed or done bad things to our citizens. Again, despite the nation's descriptors, our RP record has been honorable (if not always on time). We've never sought to conquer, only to stop conflicts.

I just fail to see how we could be branded a "Dictatorship".

It's alright about the misunderstanding. We're not a major player in NS, as far as things go, so it's perfectly fine.

Oh and yes, I really do know most of the words, I'm singing along now. But my version is a 1963 recording of Herbert von Karajan and the Berlin Philarmonic. All Beethoven's nine symphonies. Musta cost my uncle (who gave it to me a Christmas years ago) a fortune.

IC: Secretary of Defense Bunker adjusted his glasses as he read the information regarding the latest products from Feline.

"Beethoven's 9th!" He grins. Everyone at the government table is shocked, for he's revealing a side of himself no one's ever seen before.

"Ooooooooo Freeeeeeeeunde! Nicht dieeeeeese toooooooooone! Sondern laaaaaascht und aaaaaaaaaaand hmere anstimen! Und freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeuden. Vollore!

"Freude Schoner Gotterfunken, Tochter Aus Elysium. Wir betreten feuer trunken. Himmlische dein heiligtum! Deine zauber binden wiede. Vas die mode streng geteult! Alle menschen werde bruder. Wor dein sanfter flugel veilt!"

And I memorized the German lyrics (But can't remember all of the English lyrics... German version is so much catchier) to Beethoven's 9th as well... and I am a natural English speaker, but only know the meanings of about 20 German words.

OOC: This is my personal favorite classical list:

• Dvorak- Ninth Symphony "From the new world"
• Grieg- Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 16
• Grieg- Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, Op.46
• Verdi- Il Trovatore
• Verdi- Aida
• Vivaldi- Four seasons

In my opinion, anyone who thinks Beethoven's 5th is "it" as far as classical goes doesn't know a thing about classical music!

For my versions, I prefer ones from "the Classical Collection", by Orbis Publishing Ltd. It's an old magazine/CD collection from 1992, but the sound quality is near unmatched and I've got a stack of classical CDs to compare against. :D

Dear Feline.

Subsequent to your previous post, we require something special.

We need a computer system which can make rapid calculations for our space vessels. Specifically, one, which, given the appropriate sensor data, can interpret the speed, range and bearing of incoming enemy fire and shift shields to block that fire.

We are willing to pay all R&D costs as well as procurement.

We we first like to confirm our order for 10,000 heavy battle suits, put in on Saturday. I already wired your buisness the money, so I hope it will be delivered promptly. We would also like to purchase 1,000 XM312 Conversions. *Wires 8 million dollars* Thank you.

The winter uniform is no different than the others except for the color. The battlesuits, however, have a climate control system built in.

The boots are already fully insulated.

We'll sell you F.I.E.T.P. Fatigue Jacket (Feline Insulated Extreme Temperature), insulated with a special gel that keeps the solider warm from 225 degrees kelvin (-48 degrees centigrade). We will also sell you the F.I.E.T.P. Fatigue Cap, which is a simple cloth cap that protects from 250 Kevlin (-23 degrees centigrade).

We take pride in our status as one of the safest nations in Haven. But recent incidents have put that distinction and the capacity of the Imperial Guard to keep our nation safe into question.

A series of bank robberies have hit the capital city in recent weeks. All perpetrators were armed and resisted attempts to arrest them. The Guardsmen who responded had no choice but to use lethal force on the perpetrators. This has led to speculation in the press that the suspects were deliberately killed by overzealous, misguided officers motivated by vengeance and determined to preserve the Imperial Guard's reputation as the enforcers of order in the Empire. Or the officers were the masterminds behind the robberies and wished to keep their participation secret by murdering the only witnesses. Our own official investigation has concluded that the Guardsmen followed the rules of engagement and were justified in their use of lethal force. But the damage has been done. A recent poll indicated that citizens have become mistrustful of the police. The survey revealed that majority of citizens believe that the Guard has become too militarized in its thinking and that reforms have to be made.

But the same investigation has uncovered that the weapons used by the criminals were disguised as a transfer shipment from the armed forces. This is a grave matter and has been elevated to the level of a threat to national security. Those responsible are now being hunted down by security operatives and will be brought to justice. Until they are captured and charged in court, these findings will be kept secret.

These incidents have made us come to the conclusion that we would need an inventory of weapons that have non-lethal settings and of a unique construction so we can keep a very accurate and secure inventory. After reviewing all our options, we have decided that your Ionised Beam Weapons would be the best choice. We would like to tender a contract for 5 million pieces of the P-99 Conversion, 1 million pieces of the M-16 Conversion, 1 million pieces of the P-90 Conversion, and 500,000 pieces of the SA-80 Conversion. We have allocated 6,800,000,000 Paw Marks (to be sourced from our foreign currency reserves) and a purchase period of 2 years.

EDIT: Dark Terror wishes to continue the war with a puppet representing him. So, it is closed for military business once more.

Yes, our computer has pretty much every acessory imaginable (So no one else has any reason to ask in the future.)

The memory controller is on the motherboard to allow it to be more easily swapped out if it needs upgrading or replacing.

if this is a supercomputer the speed wouldn't be 4.5GHz it would be 4.5 THz(Terra hurtz its a real thing search on google)

Cax: Order confirmed via telegram earlier.

FutureEngland: hertz is not a measure of computer speed, just like temperature is not a measure of how hot or cold things are. They just measure a factor that influences what we use them to measure. The hertz of the processor is only one factor determining a computer speed. Apple's desktop computers do have a lower hertz than many slower computers with more hertz.

Rather, the speed of a computer is actually measure in flops (FLOating Point operations per Second), usually megaflops.

Mine, Northrop Grummans, and who knows how many others. Mostly he copied everything but spaceships from NG, then did a direct copy/paste of my ships, failed to take out numerous refrences to GLACORP and DGNT, then was yelled at and had his store deleted by myself (this was on the IM), and we would of course, be quite happy if you would join our embargo.

On a more positive note, would you happen to like a forum here:

No, I mean check whose storefront? Who's the one copying stuff?

And I would like to keep my storefront on the main forums- gets more visibility. Not that I have that good of sales, but, you know. It sounds like a good idea, but could I have one in both places?

FutureEnglands, search his name and look at his store, Im sure everything you find can be found somewhere else on NS, alhtought the names are differnt sometimes.

Sure, what I would suggest is moving things there and replacing your store with a link, most people dont mind an extra click, plus their servers are GREAT compared to NS, its almost never down.

The CMWA currently is dedicated to providing border patrol on the Eastern border of our nation. It is composed of about 1,600 volunteers and 10 paid staff members.

OOC: Feline is back. Wow.

IC:

Official Response from the Confederate States Dept. of Commerce

We have no idea what 'permit' our friends in Feline are talking about, since as they know, there's no law prohibiting the transfer of this equipment in Allanea, or mandating a 'permission' for it. We would like to further notice that the CMWA has a record of assisting the Border Patrol in it's exploits. The CSBP is extremely underfunded at the moment, and frankly we have no clue what would we be doing without the help of gracious volunteers.
