Today in the Rainbowian capital of Purpletripe, a horrible terrorist attack occured. The Assembly of Friends building was attacked killing 89 of 200 Assemblymembers. "We are working hard to find the culprits of the attack. We have a small military, so it will be difficult but trust me friends we will find these criminals." said President Melinda Dee at a press conferece. Melinda Dee also said " We suspect these attackes were carried out by General Frederico Earnt. The Generals evil dictatorship was overthrown as you remember, but we believe that he is still alive controlling a world wide terrorist organization." The government of Rainbowism has put the Peoples peaceful Army on alert. Some guerrila attacks have been reported throughout the nation since the attack. International help would be appreciated.

United States Peacekeeping forces could be in the area within 2 weeks NS time (bout ten mins RL i think) with a light aircraft carrier for assistance.

If the forces are allowed in they would consist of a Regiment from the 43rd Infantry Division, with a supporting independent Tank Battalion. The Infantry would have HMMWV's and 5ton trucks along with M113 Armoured Personnel Carriers and M3 Bradleys and some tanks. The Tank Battalion would have M1A2 Abrams and M3 Bradleys.

We have reason to believe that the Generals terrorist group are using small weapons. They are figthing a guerrila type war, attackingg innocent civilians on the Rainbowian roads. There are an estimated 2,000 terrorist-soldiers only on the Island of Peace. They are to be found in the northern part of the Island of Peace, and a few scattered terrorist-soldiers may be found around the central vallies of the Island of peace. The Peoples Peaceful Army is know deploying the 400 soldiers it has to the area. it will be a bit difficult to handle a guerrila war when our army is not permitted to have guns, so we need more international help. In an unexpected political move, Information Minister Chris By-The-Throat announced over 100 million US dollars in humanitarian aid for the citizens of the United Socialist States of ainbowism hurt by the terrorists attack in that nation. The move is unusual in two respects; it is not like the normally stingy Fuego Rey government to give out aid to other nations, and that the decision was made while Dictator Rey himself was on sabbatical in -Lesbos- Another unusual announcement in regards to the terrorism in Rainbowism was made by the head of the Project 11 military police force, Henry Eshelman. Over fifty experienced security experts, among them the renowned Johnny Y2k, will be departing for Rainbowism as soon as given the go-ahead, as unarmed security consultants. It is believed they will be working on systems hardening against information attacks, among other things. They will also be showcasing new developments in narcotic gasses and other such nonlethal defence methods. While Rainbowism's government officials have yet to comment, hopes are running high in Fuego Rey's diplomatic departments that this will open a door for talks between Fuego Rey and other, more socialist nations.

In other news a small gun fight in the Central Vallies resulted in 5 enemy KIA and 2 friendly WIAs. Helicopter gunships were deployed against retreating enemy forces and a further 12 rebels are thought to have died.

A Battalion from the Regiment has begun moving on the Northern half of the Island in an attempt to desteoy the rebel movemetn before it can gain popular support. Special Forces have been seeking out and marking rebel positions, manpower and supplies.

IC: United States forces have encountered light resistance and are now fully established in the central plains. This morning 2 soldiers were killed in a rpg attack and a further 4 were wounded. The attackers fled and are currently being hunted down by helicopters and Infantry.

The Commander of the Forces in the region Colonel Barcroft has announced that he will push on the Northern Half of the Island in 4 days time with tanks, apcs and infantry along with Harriers and helicopter gunships. 5 B-52 Heavy Bombers have been put on standby incase heavy resistance is encountered but this is thought unlikely.

We are curious how your country deals with violent criminals and of course terrorists without using guns. The description of the terrorists suggests they are intending to take over your country and establish a new government. We hope the situation does not deteriorate.

We have two guided-missile cruisers within two days of the nation of Rainbowism. If you'd like, Admiral Tellard can have them moved in as support for the forces of Independent Hitmen. Each cruiser carries 100-odd cruise missiles, which would be perfect for seeking out targets covered in dense foliage.

In addition we've dispatched three of our renowned Hope-class Flying hospitals. Each of these massive aircraft are converted 747's. An unfortunate incident occured today for troups en route to the United Socialist States of Rainbowism. The troops were going to serve as unarmed security consultants for the nation's terrorist problems; all of them were electronics, computer and defense experts, among them the infamous code-cracker Johnny Y2K. Unfortunately, none of the troops will be reaching Rainbowism alive, as the small plane transporting them was shot down over the terrorist occupied regions of the nation. It is unknown if this was a terrorist attack, sabotage or a friendly fire incident, but in any case it has sparked protests all across Fuego Rey, demanding that no more aid be sent. The Information Minister was not available to issue a statement, and as of this printing the Rainbowism government had said nothing on the issue either. We at the Predator give our most heartfelt condolences to the 50 brave souls who went there unarmed to give Rainbowist citizens a security boost.

Johnny Y2k, Fuego Rey national hero and security\electronics expert, is escorted forcefully at gunpoint into a dank underground cave, his hands held up behind his head. He wears the hatchet-and-quill emblem of the Fuego Rey information police, and is flanked by two men, each holding some civillian firearms-one a mossberg 500, the other a glock 18. Both also carry machetes. Strangely, Johnny doesn't seem too nonplussed by the incident. Soon enough, one of them is distrcted by a mosquito bite, and that is when he makes his move. He whirls around, slapping the butt of the shotgun down and planting a jut tek pendulum kick in the wielder's groin while the glock wielder is still slapping the insect. As soon as the pistol holder looks up, he gets a single short, hard one inch punch to the throat. Both men crumple, weapons in hand. Johnny picks up the mossberg and the glock and picks up the man's pocket radio, broadcasting on an emergency channel, hoping to god someone official is on the other end...

"This is Captain Howard aboard US helicopter Gunship orbiting vicinity of crashed plane, who am I talking with? Over"

He then turned to the soldiers in this gunship and motioned to the co-pilot to connect him with the 2 slicks and the other gunship that had been disptched
"Ok boys, we may have a friendly down in the jungle, prepare to go in. Normal rules of engagement apply. Sergeant Wilkinson take your squad in first and secure an LZ if one is needed, the rest of the platoon will then search out the friendly. Over"

UPDATE: The 200 soldiers left of the peoples Peaceful Army have been killed by Earnt s Operation Cleanse Purpletripe. The Operation aimed at killing all supporters of Friendism and people that do not like Earnt , has killed at least 100,000 people in the nations capital. People of secondary Island of rainbowism, the Island of Love are dying of starvation. The Peoples Peaceful Army tried to transport supplie to the Isalnd a week ago but the were ambushed by the terrorists. Armies helping Rainbowism should try to transport supplies to the Island of Love.

I haven'y even gotten any forces into Rainbowism yet, let alone supplies.

The United World States will assist Rainbowism by any means possible. As of now 4 C-5B transports escorted by 12 F-16s are headed for The Island of Love. The transports are loaded with food and medical supplies. In addition, we are planning to take military action against the rebels.

Captain Howard and his men took Johnny back to the area which they had roped into where 1st squad had cleared an LZ using explosives. They quickly got aboard and headed back to the main US base, the Gunners spraying a few rounds into the nearby caves for effect.

At the Main US base plans were beign drawn up to bring more forces into the country and try and take back the Government Buildings from rebels in the capital.

It is thought that the rest of the 6th Infantry Division will shortly be landing to accomplish this mission along with an Independent Heavy Tank Brigade for support and a beefed up artillery presence.

Belly Hill is a very small city, the closets city to the Island of Love with an airport and seaport is Truthy which is about 4 miles away from Belly Hill. Althoough there are forces in truthy, they can be deafeated easily since they are outnumbered. and have low skill.

**Johnny Chen sits in his makeshift tent on the edge of the US camp, looking over a scrapbook of Fuego Rey's elite security specialists and crossing out names and photos with a black marker. A radio link to his home nation crackles beside him suddenly.**

RADIO: Johnny Chen, Special Operative Johnny Chen, come in, over. This is Project 11 Director Henry Eshelman, do you read?

J2K: I read you, sir.

RADIO: What's the situation, Johnny?

J2K: All hands lost but me, sir. We were shot down by...I think it was a stinger, there was no time to tell. Those of us that weren't dead on impact were shot by the rebel forces.

RADIO: Damnit, Johnny. What's going on now?

J2K: As you know, I was rescued. Problem is, we're the rebels now. The country's been taken over, and we're pretty much trapped here in hostile terrain. The poltical situation is so goddamned mired...

RADIO: Christ! Is there any way we can extract you?

J2K: No, sir. I intend to stay here and help bring them down.

RADIO: You're out of your goddamn mind, Johnny. You're coming home ASAP. They don't need you to fight their wars for them.

**Johnny Y2K smiles slowly and reaches to turn off the radio. Then he immediately rises and reports to the C.O's tent-reporting for active duty.**

The UWS immediately launches a strike package at Truthy. In addition, Task Force 1 and 2 Ohio SSNs have been sent to The Island of Love.


OOC: Rainbowism is the following OK? I am not giving govt.forces time to react like I usually do.

-Wave 1-
14 F-15E Strike Eagles escorted by 16 F-35s sweep Truthy and knock out enemy armor/SAM units. 20 F-36 Helixes fly CAP over the area.

-Wave 2-
Escorted by 14 F/A-32 Night Eagles, 12 C-130s drop 1200 Resi Corporation R-Bots (v2.0) over the city. The R-Bots quickly sweep the city and take out government forces in and around the suburban areas.

-Wave 3-
4 C-17s drop 600 Resi Corporation R-Bots (v3.0) over the heart of the city, all this time escorted by 20 F-16s. Along with the v2.0 models, and with cover from 4 AC-130 Spectre gunships, the R-Bots secure the airport and seaport.

-Wave 4-
6 C-130s drop 600 UCSF (Universal Combat Special Forces) over the industrial areas. The soldiers quickly capture the rest of the city. 6 C-5Bs carrying 420 regular army personnel,18 trucks, 6 UH-60 Blackhawks and 3 AH-64 Apaches land at the airport, along with 16 F-22s, 12 Su-35s and 4 Tu-22M3s.

We are officially declaring the city of Truthy to be under UWS control indefinitely. All friendly forces are permitted to use Truthy's facilities, as well as use it as a springboard for liberating the rest of Rainbowism.

RAINBOWISM

US forces have begun to move into the country around their base on offensive patrols. So far a number of 'government' forces have been engaged, with 4 US troops KIA and another 12 WIA.

OOC: Fuego if you want i can put Operative Johnny Chen into one of the special forces teams at the base??

IC: Lead Elements of the 6th Infantry Division have begun arriving off the coast and are preparing to land. The first forces that will be coming ashore are thought to be the 1st Regiment Combat Enginners team, followed by the same Regiment's Tank Battalion, then 1st, 2nd and 3rd Infantry Battalions and finally the 1st Regiments Artillery.
With the 2nd Regiment already established in Rainbowism and the 1st now arriving it is only a matter of time before the 3rd Regiment, and the Independent Elements of the Division arrive.

In other news a Nimitz Class Carrier, the USIHS Phantom and her battle group have arrived off the coast to supplement the air power of the Harriers.

Task Force 1 has arrived at Truthy. 12 M1A2 Abrams and 24 M2 Bradleys are dropped off, along with 960 Marines. 4 C-130s and 6 C-17s deliver 1200 army personnel to the city as well.

Echo Company of the 7th Tank Battalion begins the drive to Belly Hill. 6 M1A2s and 10 M2 Bradleys head for Belly Hill, ahead of some 850 infantrymen. Meanwhile, 600 USCF personnel are paradroppe at Belly Hill. The town would soon be fortified, and then they could prepare to throw a welcoming party for the government forces when they arrived...

"Ok well hop on down to the armoury tent and get yourself a weapon and some ammo then go and pick up a spare vest an helmet from the Special Ops boys. I'll tell em you're coming"

"Roger that Sir"

He walked off towards the armoury tent passing two soldiers as they came in.

"What we got Major" Colonel Barcroft asked the senior of the two men.

"Well Sir, a country has deployed stupidly large assets to the theatre so weve had to call off all air support to make sure theres no FF." replied Major Jenkins, the 1st Battalion Commander.

"What! Thats just plain dumb. Get gunships up supporting our troops, i dont care if theres friendly fire, it will probably be there fault anyway! What about casualties?"

"Well Sir" said the Captain who had come in with Major Jenkins "We've got a total of 4 dead and 22 wounded. All of them have been flown home"

"Roger that Captain. Could you tell those special ops guys that ive assigned Johnny to them, should be his type of unit."

The General is captured along with 3 guards and another high ranking officer.

The armored Regement moves in and the Special Forces men and the prisoners are extracted by helo.While searching the town the Regement gets into fierce combat and lose 3 men.They discover a cache of weapons and 24 suspects.

We need forces in the northwest corner of Rainbowisms Island of love, where it is suspected that General Frederico Earnt now hides in the deep rainforests there.

Johnny Chen slogs through mud to the armory, his hands stuffed in the pockets of his Information Ministry fatigues. A thoughtful expression rests on his face, his lower lip tucked into his teeth as he ponders court martial and what he can do to get out of it for this fiasco. Finally he comes upon the armory tent, slipping inside to greet the quartermaster, a florid, graying soldier with an abrupt manner.

QT: Whatcha need, soldier? Heeeey, you're the 'lectronics n' systems expert.

J2K: That's me. I'm here to requisition some iron.

QT: Well, lemme see here...you got a set of orders for it, mister Y-Two-Kay?

J2K: Yessir, I do. **He produces a set of written orders.**

QT: Well, I'll biddamned. Okie, what can I getcha then?

J2K: Got a spectre in stock?

QT: Nosiree. Jeezus, son, when did you ever see the US army use a bloody spectre?

J2K: Didn't think so. All right, I'll go with...a CAR-15, one of those solingen knives ya'll hand out, and a 9mm Beretta. Got all that?

J2K: I'm gonna sizzle their power grid to start with. After that...who knows?

At the main US base, now dubbed Camp Freedom (:)) by the troops stattioned there, in the briefing room. Present is Colonel Roberts the SF troop commander, 1st Squad of the 4th Special Forces Regiment and 4 helo pilots.

Colonel Roberts: "Ok now boys quiten down. Ok, we are going into this network of caves here. *he points at a large satillite generated map at the point where Johnny was picked up* One of us has already been there *he motioned to Johnny* so we will have a semi-guide from the LZ to the caves and for some of the cave system. Our main objective is to shut down the main power grid and to capture and destroy any rebel supplies found in the tunnels. Papa Whiskey Two Zero, which is Jenkins, Harper, Howard, Holland and Bull with Master Sergeant Anderson in command will land first and secure the LZ from Angel 1(UH-60 Blackhawk). Then Papa Whiskey Two One with Chen, Murdok, Weaver, Partridge, and Trotter with Captain Seal in command will come in on Angel 2. Both Squads will then move off towards the tunnel systems with ArchAngel's 3 and 4 (UH-60 BlackHawk Gunships) providing covering fire and top cover if necessary. You will then search the tunnels, using strobe lights to mark your path so you can get back out. Any questions?"

"What will our back up be Sir?" Asked Sergeant Anderson

"Glad you asked that one, 2nd Squad, codenamed Papa Golf One will be dropping in from two slicks 5 minutes after you land and will then secure the tunnel enterance. They are being breifed now. If you fail to make contact within 2 hours of going into the tunnels, they will dispatch men to locate you. Understood?"

"Yessssir" came from everyone in the tent.

THE GENERAL HAS BEEN FOUND BY AN EX SOLDIER IN THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE ISLAND OF LOVE. HE HAS BEEN TRANSPORTED TO A DETENTION FACILTY FOR THE TIME BEING. THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL TRIBUNAL FOR RAINBOWISM HAS BEEN DIRECTED TO CONVENE IN GERNA, THE ONLY REBEL FREE CITY IN RAINBOWISM, WE NEED ONE MORE JUSTICE ON THE TRIBUNAL AND WE WILL GET THEM SOON.
