Description
The J1 Quaker is designed to be the best tank in the world, hands down. It has a powerful main gun, thick and advanced armor, and all the latest sensors and observation equipment. Aside from being highly lethal and survivable, two J1s can fit inside a C-5. This makes air-mailing a armored force to a distant location much easier.
The layout is similar to previous Johnistani designs, incorporation an unmanned turret and a forward mounted power pack. Both these features contribute greatly to lethality and survivability. Inside the turret a auto-loader and all the tank's ammunition supply is kept. The crew is separated from the ammo by an armored bulkhead and blowout panels ensure that the blast goes up, not down into the crew compartment. The crew is separated from the engine by a titanium door and spall liner for easy acces and maintinence. The crew can enter and exit via a hatch and rear door exit.

Self-Protection
The J1 Quaker is protected by a intricate combination of ceramics, depleted Uranium, and other light weight but strong materials. The armor is spaced, laminated, and layered in such a way that it provides maximum protection from HEAT and KE penetrators. The frontal armor is almost a meter thick and provides amazing protection from all forms of threats. The side armor is the same way, only thinner. It is about a foot and a half thick and provides about 70% of the protection of the frontal armor. The rear and top armors are the same way, only thinner. There is a spall liner to reduce the fragment cone. The armor is modular and very easy to replace and repair.
Also protecting the J1 is Kaktus-20 ERA. This ERA is made of tungsten or titanium instead of steel and has shown to reduce the power a 135mm KE round from a electro-thermal gun by 30%. This ERA is linked to the onboard computer and can be turned off if needed, if infantry or soft targets are around
The J1 is equipped with the Arena-5 and Drozd-10 active protection systems. These systems use a instant scan radar to track incoming ATGMs and destroy them using small grenades and rockets. These systems were shown to be 85% effective against TOW-2B, Hellfires, Mavericks, and other high power ATGMs. The systems can engage ATGMs regardless of where they are coming from. The system is automatic but also can be controlled manually for point defense against infantry and such. Both systems carry 16 rockets and grenades.
The J1 is coated with INTERMAT paint. The intermat paint reduces thermal signature by up to 40%. Specifacations can be found here. http://www.intermat.gr/english/default.asp?ACT=5&content=13&id=8&mnu=3

Weapons Systems
The J1's main gun is a L55 140mm electro-thermal gun. The main gun can fire APFSDS, HEAT, and HE-FRAG rounds at a firing rate of one round every five seconds. There is room for 40 main gun rounds or 25 missiles. The gun has shown to penetrate 3000mm or armor at 1km, 2500mm at 2km, 2000mm at 3km, and 1200mm, at 4km.
The main gun can also fire the Common Modular Missile System. The CMM is a interchangable family of warheads, guidance packages, and booster engines that can be fitted together to produce a number of different missiles. There are double, triple, smoke, WP, HE-FRAG. There are infrared, optical, radar, and laser guidance packages that are compatible with any booster engine or warhead. There are artillery booster engines, faster booster engines, and whatever else you can come up with.
Mounted next to the gun is a 25mm OCSW that can through HE grenades out to 2000m with pinpoint accuracy. The grenades are airbursting and can hit targets behind defilade. Ammo capacity 350 rounds of HE. Also mounted is 7.62mm machine gun.

Fire Control, Observation, and Communication
The J1 is equipped with the EYES observation system. Around the tank are 5 cameras that provide a 360 degree view of the surrounding terrain. Each camera has a x15 zoom, a thermal imager, and nighvision. This greatly enhances crew awareness and decreases firing time.
The J1 is equipped with the JoHn-2 fire control system. The J1 can auto-track and lock onto moving targets while on the move and can hit accuratly out to 6km. The JoHn-2 systems automatically takes in all necessary factors and adjusts aim on the fly for the gunner. All the gunner must do is put the "death dot" on the target which is made very easy because of the EYES system.
The J1 is equipped with the J-RAY battle management and communication system. On a GPS tactical map every other system using J-RAY shows up, it allows instant jam and listen in free commication with them. The J-RAY can also send morse and type messages.

Propulsion
The Quaker is equipped with a 2000 horsepower hydrogen turbine. The hydrogen turbine powers all the systems of the tank, can be replaced in under an hour, and gives off 50% less heat then coventional diesel engines.
