T-220 heavy tank
http://www.battlefield.ru/tanks/kv_exp/kv220_02.jpg
A further development of the KV-1, the KV-220 is proud to take the title of best anti-tank armament for a turreted tank, as well as an amazing 10 cm of armor! . When Hainanese engineers realized they could build somehing heavier than the T-150, they did! Currently used only in the Tongishi Tank proving Grounds, should be ready by April 1941. An amazing 630 HP engine provides propulsion. It should be noted that Walmington and Iansisle are languishing far behind with inadequate 49 and 60mm anti-tank guns. It is expected to replace the KV-1.

KV-1H heavy tank
http://www.battlefield.ru/tanks/kv1/kv1_25.jpg
Armed with the new F-32 76.2mm gun and 3 coaxial machine guns, the new KV-1's rolling off the Guangcheng assembly lines are simply the most powerful tank in service in the world (DONT GIVE ME ABRAMS COMPARISONS THIS IS A WW2 RP DAMN IT!). [car commercial voice]And a powerful 560 HP engine[/car commercial voice]. Armor reaches 85mm in the front!

KV-2 heavy infantry assault tank
http://www.battlefield.ru/tanks/kv2/kv2_4.jpg
KV-2 and one of the last T-26's
While Walmington gives his infantry tanks puny 60mm guns (OOC: correct me if I'm worng on this), Hainanese engineers took a more direct approach and threw a 152mm gun on the KV-1. The [slow, massive] result was the KV-2, the worlds most heavily armed tank! The KV-2 carries 36 rounds of 152mm ammunition, and 3,087 rounds of ammunition for it's bow and coaxial machine guns.

KV-8 flamethrower tank
http://www.battlefield.ru/tanks/kv8/kv8_1.jpg
Hainanese engineers put a new turret with a 45mm gun and flamethrower on the KV-1 chassis and called it KV-8. 92 rounds of 45mm ammunition and 107 shots for the flamethrower with 960 litres of gas mixture.

T-34/76B
http://www.battlefield.ru/tanks/t34_76/t34_31.jpg
The best armed medium tank in the world, amazing sloped armor (up to 65mm protection!), F-34 76.2mm gun, 500 HP engine. What more could you want in a tank?

T-20 light tank.
Probably the best of its class

ooc:Our infantry tanks.. hm, we call them Marching Tanks, and the MkI Turtle has a .55" machinegun, while the new MkII Terrapin has mounted in various stages of its early production runs 2pdr 40mm, 6pdr 60mm, and 6pdr 49mm guns, with a .303 MG. :?
The MkIs are being shipped off to Walmingtonian South Africa, Iansisle, and The Trucial States, as early work is underway on a MkIII.

Mechanised fire support is provided by the CCMkIICSH, or Hardy, with a 3" (or 76mm) howitzer. Really I should look at getting a 90mm or even 4" howitzer :(

These announcements by you are readily available propaganda, you say?

That is good, because I was getting worried about how much our ignorance was going to hurt us.

Time for projects Tortoise and Armadillo to get under-way at last! (You heard me! Armadillo! Ha! Scared now? Heh..hm..)

Correct. I didnt mention engine and transmission problems in the propaganda though.

The 152mm tank destroyer is secret IC.

ooc:Crikey, you're planning to use the KV-2 as a tank destroyer?
I suppose the limited direct fire potential might not seem so limited when the shell can probably crush a light cruiser tank with its weight alone.. heh.

I'm just glad the KV-2 won't be primarily our concern, I don't envy Iansisle. I'll trust Calarca to come up with one of their great-leap improvements to tackle the thing. I remember reading years ago an account of a KV-2 holding up a whole German column for two days or something. Explosives strapped directly to the barrel of the main gun dented it slightly, but didn't stop it firing.. a barrage from concealed long-barrel 50mm anti-tank guns left a few stains on the turret.. I'm trying to remember how they shifted it. I think they had to wait for an 88mm to be brought up.

(Hmm...I don't envy myself, either. Though, I wonder how shallow-draft river gunboats would hold up if we needed to form a line at the Ganges?

*goes to check*

The River Ganges, according to this (http://www.enn.com/news/wire-stories/2002/05/05072002/ap_47143.asp) news article, is anywhere from 16 to 65 feet deep, and between 275 and 385 yards wide. My TB-III class large torpedo boat only displaces about about 8.5 - 9.5 feet and carries a long barrel 4.1" gun forward, as well as 4 broadside mounted 2 pounder AA guns that could be turned against shore based objects. It also has up to 1" of armor on the pilot house, turret, and ammo / mine magazine. My other river capable ships - which draft 4-5 feet at 6-7 feet - don't carry heavy guns, alas, but could probably be outfitted with a turret of some sort.

So, yeah. Not really sure what I meant to do by that :))

OOC:Heh, my tanks are useful for defending Hainan (rice paddies, etc.), but Chiang better get some japanese tanks or else his only real useful armored units are my armored cars I gave him.

Walmington- that was a KV-1, not a KV-2. A similar story happened with a T-35. No, KV-2 is my infantry support tank, SU-14BR2, with its naval 152mm howitzer, which is on the T-35 chassis, is my "152mm tank destroyer".
Iansisle- my river monitor has 2 20" guns, albeit theyre mainly used by CHiang in the mekong and whatnot, I only have a few.

Which one? You do know these are ww2 tanks, BTW?

Oh yeah while I'm at it I'll point out T-220 has better armor than KV-1, and a far better gun.

(that may be true, but the Ganges drains into the Bay of Bengal, and that area of the world is almost completely secure for the time being against enemy naval penetrations, thanks to Forts Manly and Trade. Besides, in the days before truely accurate fire, I'd much rather have a bunch of little guns and torpedoes than one or two big ones, especially in an area where manouvering would be limited due to depth restrictions)

Lol, thanks for the vote of confidence WoS, expect a few research threads to appear once I move home and can spare the time, uni is about to finish and I've gotta shift. Ecolana has finally bust my prized armoured cars now, so time to start planning replacements. Anyone want to see a quad rapid fire 2 pounder pom-pom from a naval AA unit mounted on an armoured crawler body? 400 RPM of low velocity explosive shells, behind 3" of naval armour.

IC:

Major of R&D, to General in charge of equipment.

"Sir, look at these pictures, proprganda, but where theres smoke theirs fire, I must ask that we start a reseach unit to investigate replacements for our armoured cars, they're being smashed by the Ecorlanians, what will happen if we engage these Yellow Hiananese barbarians!"
