Sir,
Late last night an attack was made on the city of Kopf by members of the former ruling class, the Suderbasten. They have successfully seized all industrial locations and the town centre. A message has been received from their leader, it seems that they have aquired foreign aid (OOC: need nation to be primary backer of the rebels) and are attempting to regain control of the country and reintroduce a fascist regime. Kopf is dangerously close to our primary industrial city, Grotz and it believed that this their next target. From here it would be relatively easy for them to take Terechov. The Rechevian Elite Forces (500 elite men) have been mobalised and moved into postion in Grotz and are preparing for partisan warfare, meanwhile the main army has been recalled from Trousrs' colonies to help combat the threat.

we will send you whatever aid you need in this crisis. how many troops shall i send?

The rebels number 12,000 are are quite heavily armed with mechanized armour, as it is we cannot hope to defeat them with our small army of 500 men with 1300 more on the way, so please send a fair number of troops.

Fighting continues for hours, but the elite special forces of Rechevia manage to triumph killing 760 Rebel troops and capturing a further 300. The rebel movement is however still powerful and has taken Rechevia's only military base, only 3 miles from the capital, Terechov.

In Krostovia's Capital.............

'Comrade Commissar, rebellion has ignited in rechevia' says General Ustinov to Chairman Karakov of Krostovia. 'Any plan of action sir? we cant let these people be taken by rag tag legions so easily!'

Official Update on the Rechevian Situation:
With foreign backing the Rebel forces are closing in on the capital, with widespread fighting in other parts of the nation. The elite forces are maintaining their hold on Kopf while the conventional troops are holding ground near the capital. The rebels have been strongly critisized by many national agencies and figures including the Regent of Terechov university (a very prominent figure in Revechian Life, the university recieves 12% of the government budget) and leaders of all of the major political parties.

Also the battle group of the Nimitz class carrier Freedom will await offshore to further accomplish this goal. The industries available are largely recourse based, the country has plenty of lumber as well as iron and coal deposits. These have been unexploited by the weak enviromentalist government so they are still rich.

Meanwhile in Terechov........
The rebels have strengthened raids on Krostovian Positions, infantry teams are backed into bunkers and bulidings while 8 T-90 have been lost to RPG troopers. MiG raids seem to be the only sucess in the attack on the city hitting crutial rebel outposts in Terechov.

'Forces from the Imerial Union will join our forces soon sir. If we can only hold out a bit longer and get our main forces here....' says the Generals aid.

General Filatov, commander of Rechevian Forces requests that all allied forces move to defend the capital Terechov or help to retake the disputed northern region of Greyk.

Meanwhile there is widespread discontent in the capital, the people are a peaceful one, they though the removal of the old regime heralded the coming of democracy and peace. Now occupation by soldiers has led to severe tensions. There have been reports of increased crime and several attacks on soldiers have been reported.

Small Strike Force of Krostovian Forces are combating the rebels in Terechov, they await assistance until the bulk of Krostovia's military arrives.

The President of the Batavian Soviet Socialist Republic was reading the Latest Wal-Mart Road atlas when Air Marshall Gorkey walked in.

"Ah Marshall, how long will it take a Tu-160 Bomber to reach Rechevia?" asked President Malcom

"It would take about 5 to 6 hours at supersonic speed. We would need to refuel them twice, probably over the Indian ocean. We can have a Tanker in the location in 10 hours. It would be escourted by Su-27 Fighters and could do the job handily" said the Air Marshall.

"Do it, locate rebel targets in Rechevia and then feed them into the computers of the bombers. Then have our Bombers drop Laser Guided bunker busters on them. The explosion alone should cripple the Rebellium Have at least 20 Tu-160's do the job"

Krostovia thanks its allies for the help in Terechov and offers good luck to the Rechevian citizens and Governments after this tradgedy.

The Rechevian forces including their recently bolstered armour division move north to Greyk. They plan to drive the fascist rebels from this normally peaceful land.
With the knowledge that they cannot defeat the rebels in an open fight until their allies arrive, they begin a campaign of guerilla warfare and hit- and- run tactics.
Meanwhile in the town of Kopf, trouble is stirring, the fascist forces and their allies seem to be on the increase. All but the youngest of the townspeople remember life under these people and they do not want it to return. Very carefully and very quietly some of the braver people of the town shut down the coal refinery, burn down the lumber mill and collapse the mines to stop the rebels from taking advantage of these resources.

The rebel camp was on alert as they were planning their next actions for the day. Many hopeful people were believing that the new assistance would help. Suddenly, a low roar was heard.

IC: Despite setbacks like that accursed bomb that had struck on of their bunkers the Rebel forces were satisfied with their progress. The city of Kopf had been taken, and those dissadents foolish enough to try and stop manufacturing were quickly put to death. They in fact now controlled the entirety of the Greyk region. They could not easily expand but by God they could hold onto what they had.

Your forces are on the brink of defeat, allied forces have you surrounded. We do not wish to have to kill you if it is not necessary. Therefore, to prevent further bloodshed, we propose a deal. You will immediatly surrender into the custody of allied troops. You will stand down your positions and release the town of Kopf. If you do so you will be spared, your army will be exiled (possibly into the nations of your allies if they are willing to accept you) and your leaders put on trial for crimes against humanity and punished accordingly. This is the only offer you will recieve.

Communique to Rechevia:
Know that we will never give up the fight. As we speak the navy vessels purchased with foreign aid will arrive. They will take 6000 of our people out of the country. As for the rest of us, we will only give up our claims to this land when we are cold in the ground. This is OUR land, you pandering liberal b**tards took it from us and we intend to take it back. One way or another. Even if it takes us another 5 years.

Rechevian forces move into Greyk. The armour division meets some resistance from rag-tag band of rebels, but they are killed or captured. The air forces take out some of the last remaining enemy bases, unfortuntley this does not stop the Rebels from taking down the planes with RPGs.
Eventually the special forces enter Kopf and are met by a citizens army who have arisen to fight the rebels. Together the Government forces clear out the rebels and take their leaders captive.
The war is over.

As soon as the naval infantry are finished getting equipped and loaded on transports my 2nd, 5th, 9th, and 12th battlegroups will be setting sail.

The Rechevians move north, their armour devision attacking any pockets of resistance from the fascists. The aircraft begin to bomard the enemy bases, and soon most are destroyed.
A few ours later the elite forces reach Kopf and meet with a mob of angry locals, mobalised to force the rebels from their homes. Together the elite forces and townspeople manage to defeat the rebels in the town and capture the leaders.
The war is over! Despite heavy losses, democracy and peace can once again return to Rechevia.

Fine so we may not be new but despite our relative inexperience in the game we seem to be more sensible. Xerlox has decided to move into Rechevia to support a rebel movement that no longer exists. So basically he wants to invade to screw up my country. Now when a new player does the same thing in one of their irritating "I DECLARE WAR ON blah blah" threads they are told that they are being ridiculous. Why does this also not apply to older nations? Just because you have more posts doesn't make you right.
