You should have true warriors! Warriors who looks into the eyes, and souls, of their enemies before they make them fall to the ground! I say that not even guns should be used on the field of battle!
Of course, my warriors are already perfectly suited for this. Since I am a nation of moon elves, they can kill soldiers with guns, either by magic or by not even being seen. They have ... interesting ... tactics.

Hm… personally I’d rather that my men didn’t look into the souls of their enemy, but instead get the job done and weep about the dead after the battle. Looking into the eyes of the enemy would make it personally and that’s when mistakes are made.
Also, I would be worried if my men were not at least a little bit fearful before a battle, I don’t employ people who enjoy the act of killing… people like that shouldn’t be in the army.
As for weapons… well, the Iuthian Gauss Rifle is quite sufficient, swords went out with the “dark times” and they are not coming back. While close combat is decisive, you would actually have to reach combat, which would require a certain amount of stealth and a lot of luck.
That said, magic is highly adaptable and in its self is a highly powerful force… though the amount of education required to teach someone magic is inefficient for large numbers of men, to be reasonable in the field it requires many years of training and learning. To be good with magic it takes much, much longer.
Then again, what would we know…
Nuclear weapons should not be highly regulated and incredibly expensive, due to the cost of materials and the precise electronics they require to function. Each nuclear weapon could take around 2 years each to construct and requires a lot of technology and facilities that most young nations do not have. Another thing to consider is the high maintenance of such weapons…
This is why we keep a small supply as a deterrent, we have never sold nuclear weapons nor used them and we don’t even intend on doing either.
We also condemn nations that do so…
