After long years of laboraous research, the Dominion of Mushroomos has launched the most advanced starship in, quite possibly, the known universe.

Actually, the ship was designed after a long lost copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was recovered, unveiling that Mushroomosian scientific minds were actually straying away from the technologies necessary to going faster than light.

I probably should not have mentioned that, but 'tis of no matter. After the version was dusted off and the infamous red button on it pushed, the schematics of the wondrous Infinite Improbability Drive were placed on a carbon LCD screen. It's true.

Nevertheless, Mushroomos Space Corps, always searching for the most efficient, put the design into effect. Three small test drives were made for testing at Mushroomos Bride Wet lake.

The side effects of an uncalculated activation of an Infinite Improbability field were not taken into consideration, and so our entire facility including our scientists was reduced to a frog trapped under a clothing iron.

But, we have the technology perfected and shall be exploring the galaxy, improbably as it may seem.

Emperor Mot,
The ever-troubled Zarf and her sister region, Zarfonia.

Aboard the S.C. Einstein, the captain, counsuler, and executive officer teleported down. "Greetings. You have now reached the level of technological sophistication where the Prime Directive no longer applies. That is, you have discovered FTL drive, so now we can talk you you. We are the Federation of Science and Exploration, and we are located in a trinary star system called Alpha Centauri. Perhaps you have heard of it? Yes, you are not alone in the universe. Anyway, we are here to offer an alliance, technolical aid, and to offer you to join the Galactic Alliance, and inter-stellar organization analogous to your United Nations. If you want us to leave, and leave no trace, either physical or in your memory, of this contact, all you have to do is tell us. There is no pressure on your decision either way. "
