Saab RBS15 Mk3
The new generation Anti-Ship / Land Attack Missile system

System Characteristics Saab RBS15 Mk3 ASM / LA is a true fire and forget multi purpose anti-ship / land attack, sea skimming, cruise type missile. The missile possesses a high hit probability by a flexible pre-launch programmable active radar seeker. It has unique ECM resistance and defence penetration capabilities by an offset, stealthy approach featuring very low terminal trajectory with a set of evasive manoeuvres and re-attacks. Features that all are contributing to the missile’s high defence penetration capability.

The state-of-the-art design of the RBS15 Mk3 results in high availability, reliability and maintainability and long maintenance intervals, thus the cost of ownership is very low during the system’s specified lifetime of 30 years.

The RBS15 Mk3, with its growth potential, is designed to operate in the naval scenario, from blue sea conditions to littoral warfare and in land attack missions. The long flight range and extremely flexible trajectory enables attacks from short distances to ranges well beyond the horizon. Attacks can also be mounted from different directions with pre-selected time of arrival for each missile as well as simultaneous arrival.

A missile engagement can utilise terrain masking, divergent salvos, attacking several targets in one single firing or converging salvos through co-ordinated attacks. The unlimited overland flight capability enables coastal defence batteries to be deployed in concealed positions far from the coastline. The long flight range further reduces the exposure of air- and ship-launching missile carriers to a minimum.

Missile design Each missile is contained in a canister, which serves as launcher as well as environmental protection throughout the missile’s life cycle - a round of ammunition concept.
* Length 4330 mm, diameter 500 mm,
* Missile flight weight 630 kg
* High Ku-band active radar target seeker with jittered PRF and frequency agility, providing inherently good ECCM characteristics. The wide antenna and the very short high power monopuls provides excellent angular and range resolution
* Navigation system including GPS and Inertial Measurement Unit
* Optimised (200 kg) HE blast and pre-fragmented warhead .The instantaneous or delayed initiation of the warhead is triggered by direct impact or fused by a proximity sensor.

Defence Penetration To achieve the long range while flying at very low sea-skimming altitudes, and to utilise the operational advantages of the flexible trajectory and the re-attack capability, the missile flies at high sub-sonic speed. This enables the missile’s stealthy designed with low radar cross section, low IR signature and limited visual signature. In combination with the flexible trajectory and low flight this makes the missile difficult to detect.

Target Selection The target seeker has several operational possibilities for target selection e.g:
* Target position, target size and priority order
* Single, Multiple or Group of targets
* Seeker search area: type, size, masking and intelligent scanning

Soft Kill Resistance The target seeker is provided with a wide range of ECCM functions, for example:
* False target discrimination (both for distraction and seduction)
* Home on jam
* High output power, high bandwidth, frequency agility and Jittered PRF

Hard Kill Resistance Low probability of not being hit by surface-to-air missiles, medium calibre guns and close-in-weapon systems, is achieved by:
* Extremely low sea-skimming during final attack significantly reducing the performance of a SAM’s target seeker and any proximity fuze function
* Non-predictable evasive missile manoeuvres during the terminal phase
* Selectable direction of attack
* Defence saturation through pre-selected and in-salvo co-ordinated time of arrival

Missile Engagement Planning System (MEPS) All targets are displayed for the operator together with the complete engagement plan for each missile. The MMI comprises a map of the combat area enabling the operator to overview the operational scenario and to make changes to the engagement plans.
To facilitate co-ordinated attacks from several weapon carriers, engagement data can be exchanged over a digital interface and be displayed on the screen. The system can also receive and transmit complete engagement plans to and from higher command levels. This enables an extensive support to the tasking, direction and control of the RBS15 Mk3 system.

Based on target information and other combat data from higher command systems, the MEPS will autonomously perform all the required functions for engagement planning and preparation of the missiles. Once targets have been identified and selected, the system proposes, automatically generated, engagement plans based on a user defined threat database. The MEPS thus provides extensive operator support for quick response, highly vital in order to hit the target.

It is shown here with two boosters produced by Bonstock to help propell it. With these features, it easily beats the Yahont. Bonstock is going to field thousands of them in trucks and on ships, and they will help protect Bonstocknian coasts and attack our enemies. Not for sale.

Looks very attracting, although we still use truck-mounted Harpoon launchers which can launch the new F variant of the Harpoon, plus the traditional artillery cannons.

We congratulate you for this achievment.

We prefer 200mm recoilless rocket artillery, air based Stryker's, StrykerG's, and ME/LKOR systems for these various uses, as we feel multi-purpose weapons usually are in-adequate for specific purposes.

Bonstock is now in the process of making 5,000 of these missiles. 2,000 will be mounted on trucks, 4 to each truck, to act as coastal defence. 1000 will be directly given to the navy. The rest are reserve.

I am rather impressed with your missile system here. I have a feeling it will be most helpful in any sort of warfare that you may face. This truley looks like a dominant missile.
