Raysia seeks Active Camoflauge Technology
Our special Forces team needs active camoflauge Technology ((Like in James bond... kinda... that kinda thing)).
Is anyone in posession of this technology willing to sell? We can trade our electro-constricting plastics technology for it if you wish.
Future or modern tech? Space vessel or land vessel?

It depends, what orginizations are you a part of?

Raysia, elaborate on what you need please. Do you need active CAMO on vehicles, soldiers, or structures?
You might remember a while ago I had a proposition for you to give me more research and development freedom for SkyCleaner technology (mainly with the shells it uses). In return you'd get a highly plausible active camouflage system and you'd be able to develope and use them freely. The concept is supported by a diagram and real life videos of this system in use. It has been quite a few NS years since we last talked and we are a little bit more advanced in active CAMO conceptially. But we haven't produced a active camouflage system more efficient then the one I described last time. The deal still stands and if you are interested then contact me via telegram. Once again, I'm offering an immobile active camouflage system and well thought-out concepts for more efficient and mobile forms of active CAMO. You will have full freedom to research and develope whatever you want based on our technology.
Although depending on what electro-constricting plastics technology means, I might be more interested in what you are offering here.
I hope you will be interested in our deal. You're work reflects creativity that makes your nation shine like a diamond among rocks. Hopefully we can build friendship and alliance through the sharing of technology and business.
We can't help you there. We use technology similar to Phalanix's, creating holographic images that are superimposed over the real shapes.
Very effective, but not for you.

Hmmm... similar, we are.

Yoda, are you?

Ray, if this doesn't pan out you can talk to me...I have one that doesn't depend on other people shining a projection on you (how often is there the film crew to both capture and project the background?).
I think I will take this oppurtunity to reveal that a program has been underway in PD for several years to develop and produce "adaptable camo"... I don't know if its what you are looking for, or that i'd share it, but at some point after it is finished a technology exchange could be considered.

The United Socialist States of Zvarinograd had taken into consideration active camouflage research before, however our country was investing in United Elias' aircraft at the time therefore it was rejected. Though, if you are willing to help us financially, we might be able to restart this program. Of course, you will be given full rights. We ask not your technology in return but a research and development treaty that we will help each other, in any means possible, whenever we require assistance in research.

The objective of this research is to explore the development of a new class of metachromatic (color-changing) materials that do not rely on chemical or electrochemical changes. The materials under study are composites containing silver nanoparticles as the active constituent. The optical absorption of these nanoparticles can be continuously tuned over a wide spectral range by modulating interparticle coupling. The primary goal is to demonstrate that interparticle coupling (and, thus, the color) can be regulated by applying electrical or mechanical perturbations that produce changes in interparticle separation. This accomplishment will enable the pursuit of a new metachromatic technology that is free from some of the problems associated with presently available electrochromic materials. Last, but not least, these new materials can be used as active camouflage. Truly, giving enough reason for government backing.
OOC:
I don't know much about optical device camouflage but I'm taking a different approach like a good researcher. :P

Roania, I might have misinterpretted how your active CAMO works. Mine is very simple and very much modern tech.
Western Asia, there is more mobility in projection active CAMO than you think. And a film crew...?
Raysia, we are working on active CAMO involving fiber optics also. We have a concept in our research logs that you might be interested in.
oops, wow, this thread went somewhere ;)
I need active camo for a fighter plane... I'm assuming liquid chrystal wwould be the best... am I correct? The camo will be used to hide it while it is on the ground... so UD's plan might work too... show me what you got.

What we have will work, but the scale factor would cost you. The active camo I have was developed for battlearmor and to coat a plane with the stuff is going to be expensive to say the least, think of the price of painting a large car with chameleon paint and you'll get what I mean. I would like to point out a folly in your camo scheme though, an airfield or airport is going to be a viable military target whether or not your enemy can see aircraft, active camo would be better used in combat and painted onto stealth aircraft.
Hearja has constructed a heavy armor suit fit for sniping advantages, which may or may not include Shield Camoflauge technology*. Each suit is also equipped with Heliodisplay mini-projector for defense use*. The suit, called Chameleon A.10, also includes great abilities for sight and sniping, including both nocturnal vision and infrared vision.
*Shield Camoflauge technology is a camoflauge jacket which records all the colors of the surrondings and projects them into the jacket itself. This technology has also several other names used for it rather than Shield Camoflauge.
*Heliodisplay (http://www.io2technology.com/) is a technology which makes it possible to project extremely realistic images straight into the air, very fast and easy. This is a very effective method of surprising the enemy.
One Chameleon A.10 suit costs 20.000$.
This active camoflauge system would be put in place on a special forces plane that can VTOL... the camflauge will just come in handy when trying to blend in with a background, like on top of a building or in a forest.

Raysia, the system that I use is not integrated into my vehicles or buildings. Thus it does not sacrifice armor and maneuvarbility when the vehicle is in use. It is relatively small and light and easy to assemble.
But there is a small problem. My camouflage works best on roofless structures such as pyramid shaped buildings and tents. So in order to cover your fighters from the top you're going to need to put a small device in the underbelly of your plane.
I'll telegram you all the info and videos for projection active CAMO. If you're interested then I'll figure out a way to make it work on your jets without taking away from it's speed and manuevarbility.
I am currently developing a system that should be finished within a year or two (2 RL days). There would be a high cost to cover a plane however I am confident that it would work if you were willing to pay the price.
raysia Speaking: I think we will do our own system, based on the American Multi-faceted liquid-crystal skin with camera cells. Not too hard, but it will take some researching.
Research on this program has entered the testing phase... we still have some bugs to work out with the cameras being tied into the multi-faceted cells... but for the most part, this is working pretty well... just "static" every now and then... I hope no one brings a TV Remote control to the area... cuz in testing we accidentally received a football game on the port wing of an Su-37...
We don't have too much further to go.
