After the Empire of Sachka celebrated reaching over 100 million citizens, all seemed well. However, at about 11:00 am this morning, a croud of people marched in front of the Imperial Palace to protest the Emperor's plans to invade The Queendom of Princess Rebecca.
The protesters remained peaceful for more than 1 hour before a small group started to throw rocks at the police officers keeping an eye on the protest. Authorities had no choice but to send in riot police to keep the situation under control.
Unfortunately, this only incited further anger amoungst the approx 200 protesters and more of them turned violent.
As the rioters were unable to get through the towering walls of the Imperial Palace, they turned the other way and started smashing shops all along Rommel Street.
It took two and a half hours to stop the orgy of meaningless destruction and make the croud disperse. Of the 31 violent protesters who were arrested, most of them were "just braindead punks only out to cause trouble" said police centurion Gordon Hurman.
Emperor Sachkantine already decided to withdraw Imperial troops from the Queendom's border late yesterday and was preparing to adress the people on this matter only 1 hour from now. Today's violent outbreak forced him to release this earlier.
