The SDPM 1 is a super hybrid mechanical suite. The suite is very tough but can only take so much punishment. The cockpit is incased inside the suite for protection. It comes equiped with 2 90mm Armor pearcing guns and 2 twin turbo thrusters (top speed of 200mph) on the back for movement while in air. This is strictly a planetary flying machine(not space) and if taken into space will freeze over and break.

To answer your questions it was a joint prodject from the SDP empire and the holy empire of Diminix. In wich they shared there knowledge of physics and mechanics. It has been in development for about a year now..
