Meanwhile the casualty toll rises as Newb forces battle noobs, the dwarves, the ents, the elves, the trolls, etc, and eachother for supremacy. The magocracy has decided to settle some old scores and has from atop of their fortified towers started to throw fireballs at oneanother, adding much to destruction as stray magic schythes the neigborhood. The Counsil of Oldbies, usually the prime ruling party second only to the King. Has decided to lock themselves up in the palace until they've put a end to this madness ("Or until the whole ordeal blows over" - actual quote). Thanks to the zany-university of Inscropulous Science, the structural damages are much worse than they would have been if conventional weapons had been used. The question of the long-term social-political (not to mention crazed warlords seeking an advantage during this moment of confusion.) effects are yet to be seen.
