It has started - again. (Space, "RP" of sorts)

Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
08-10-2003, 15:45
The followers of the Eternal Doctrine do not hate the ones they kill, no, they kill... Because it is necessary. Only once had they been beaten. They were known in their own dimension, their own reality, as ruthless killers with no remorse, and they were so deeply fanatic that logic had no effect on them. They reeked of death, they were Death itself, they had annihilated thousands of species in the twenty thousand years they had followed the Doctrine.

But now it is starting, once again. The Eternal Doctrine is in motion. Several unknown, habited planets, full of life and filled with sentience had suddenly ceased to exist in that form. They had been turned into dead, volcanic shadows of their former selves. The followers of the Eternal Doctrine would exterminate every sentient being that is not of Ur-Quan origin, or die trying to meet that end. That is their fate, their destiny. But in the end, stopping them would truly be impossible.

They do not live like most beings do, as they are always on the move. They do not have a planet they would call home, they only take what they need and leave. The space is vast, and as such, finding them would be pure luck. They on the other hand, have no problems finding targets. It has always been that way.

They are what remains of the ancient, hated and feared Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah. The other Kohr-Ah pity them, but cannot stop them. The other ones are too weak for a Doctrinal War, too entangled in their own troubles.

We are the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah. Prepare for the cleansing.

((OOC: And no, this is NOT a start of a space war RP, but could use some RPing.))

Early warning probes were reactivated in deep space, scanning outward, and keeping tabs on anything getting too close.

As the still small, but growing fleet of the followers of the Eternal Doctrine were close to Takian space, repairing some minor damage made to the armoring of their ships, so that they could continue their way to exterminate yet another underdeveloped world, they detected some probes. Several of them would be destroyed by the bladed discs shot from the pitch black Marauders, but no significant action were taken against the Takians. They are not here to attack the Takian empire, no, not yet. The time is not right, and their knowledge of the local starships is still found lacking. They need more knowledge and more ships.

The fleet jumped into HyperSpace, as the repairs had been concluded. No one would know where they were headed now. No one would care, either. No one knows of their target, no one cares about the poor sentients they will kill. It will be their last day as living, feeling, sentient beings, and no one will ever know about it.

As the fleet was advancing on to its unknown target, it detected a ship, a freighter, possibly that of a smuggler. It did not matter. It shall be... Dealt with. They do not care of smugglers, nor of rebellions, wars, other than of the one of their own, their eternal war against non-Ur-Quan life, that has already taken so many millennia. The crew of the freighter would soon die.

They did what they always do. They jumped out of HyperSpace, sent a message to the freighter, "We are the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah. Our nature, the fulfillment of our fate, requires your destruction", and without a second thought, the fleet attacked the defenseless freighter. It did have some fighters as an escort, but they were destroyed with one swift stroke. They took the freighter apart and made sure that not even a single member of its crew survived to tell the tale with extreme efficiency. No one would ever know what had happened to it. It would float in space as an unidentifiable pile of debris forever.

Then they continued on their way, to an unknown destination, to a system where some underdeveloped civilization resides.
Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
08-10-2003, 20:59
They had reached the system, in which was a planet that was broadcasting its existence to the whole Galaxy, without its inhabitants knowing it. They had gone there undetected, unseen, unhindered. When they jumped out of HyperSpace, they were inside the atmosphere of the said planet, as the ultimate show of indifference for any life. Their pitch black ships that emerged from the blood red gates looked like beasts straight from Hell, and the beings that lived on that planet knew fear. The followers of the Eternal Doctrine sent a message to the natives, stating "We are the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah. We cleanse our destiny. You will soon die. Make whatever rituals are necessary for your species" in their very own language. They were absolutely horrified.

It was a fertile planet, much like Earth before humans started polluting it and encasing it in concrete, and it was filled with both flora and fauna. But the lizard-like sentients would pay the ultimate price for their evolution, as would everything else there. They were in a very modern age-like stage, but they were unable to defend themselves. Their AA weapons were destroyed promptly before they could use them. All they could do was die in horror.

Yes, they knew fear before their deaths. Now nothing lives there, it is a volcanic planet (http://sensori.soldats.net/kuvia/kohrah/volcanic.jpg), much like Earth was so long before life was born there. The followers of the Eternal Doctrine will stay in that system to strip it from its resources. Then they will move to the next one. Their fleet is growing...
Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
09-10-2003, 00:21
Their extraction of resources was well under way in the system they had invaded. Then something huge jumped out of HyperSpace, right above them on the last planet they would strip mine, and it stood there, waiting. The Kohr-Ah would soon start bringing matter they could use to that huge thing. It was obviously something they could call their "mobile headquarters", and now it was there, in the darkness of space, waiting for new loads that would fill its massive containers. No one has ever lived to see it, or maybe no one who has seen it has not lived long enough to report it.

Soon would their work be done in that system, and they would move on to the next target. It is very likely that the one they would attack is not much more advanced than the ones they have annihilated already in this reality. They are... Practicing. Researching. Pillaging. Exterminating. Their dark quest has truly started again, after the time of patience and waiting.
Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
09-10-2003, 10:53
All that was left was mending the minor dents caused by the very short lived AA weapons of their latest victim. They had extracted all resources they could extract from the system with their... Tight schedule. It was now not only empty of life, but also very poor on minerals. They would soon leave the system, without leaving any evidence of their being here. They would only leave the overcoming stench of death and the dreadful silence.

Soon it was done, and they were ready to jump into HyperSpace. It would take some time for them to choose their next target, but what else do they have than time? There is a multitude of different species, underdeveloped and easily killed. Those that still are unknown to others. They would never run out of targets, no, there will always be new ones. New sentience to destroy. Their fleet was still too weak to take on an actual space empire, so they would have to keep doing this for some time. But their fleet grows all the time. It would not take long anymore. Soon it would be the turn of the developed civilizations.
Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
10-10-2003, 15:11
They had left the system and had chosen to roam the unknown space for some time before attacking their next target, when they once again detected a ship that was all alone. The difference was that this time it was a warship. A destroyer. Soon it would be the one that gets destroyed. This would work as an experiment on the shielding and armoring of local ships. It was exactly what they had been looking for.

Only one Marauder jumped out of HyperSpace, right in front of the destroyer. The crew of the said destroyer was very much alarmed by the pitch black ship that had come out of some weird, blood red gate, like it had punched through the fabric of space. They received a transmission, saying, "We are the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah. Our nature, the fulfillment of our fate, requires your destruction."

They sent a transmission to the Ur-Quan ship as well, a question: "What is this madness!? Why are you trying to kill everyone?" They wanted to know why. The Ur-Quan replied, "We do not kill. We cleanse. Cleansing is necessary to ensure our eternal freedom and security. Indeed, you fail to understand: there is no death. Only termination and rebirth. Each termination brings around the new chance, the possibility to be born an Ur-Quan. We merely present this opportunity, make it available to all." As the Ur-Quan ended the transmission, he instantly attacked the destroyer.

It did not take long until the Marauder had destroyed the ship. The one controlling the ship made sure that the ship he had destroyed would not be identified, not even as a ship. Its debris would float in space, and no one would know where it came from. Then the Marauder jumped back into HyperSpace, to join with the fleet. His deed was done.

Several such attacks have happened to this date, and the followers of the Eternal Doctrine are closing in on another planet with a species that is unable to defend itself. With the resources they have accumulated, they have built many new ships. The fleet is growing steadily, this is only the beginning.
Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
11-10-2003, 04:57
It was then when the majority of Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah, who do not follow the Eternal Doctrine anymore, were finding out what their brethren were doing. A single Marauder, controlled by an Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah pilot, had detected a multitude of jumps, identical to those of their own. The ships on the other hand were unmarked, unknown, but fit the silhouette of Ur-Quan ships. This was when the rogues had jumped out of the system they had left empty. He saw what they had done to the system, and what they had done to one of the planets. He saw that the system had been strip mined. He knew then that the Eternal Doctrine had been reinstated.

He would follow the rogue fleet for a while after recording the devastation they had made to that system, and then return back home. He would bring grave news. He had seen something horrible, something that is under the control of the followers of the Eternal Doctrine. It is quite possible that soon might come the first Doctrinal War where the species known as the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah would fight against itself. It all depends on the leaders of the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah Hierarchy.
Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
13-10-2003, 00:10
When the Hierarchy learned of the actions of the rogues, someone might have thought that it would have caused an uproar. Humans would have acted this way, but not the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah. They didn't think that the followers of the Eternal Doctrine would override any of the other issues, they had many other things to worry about. The changes in the society were causing major problems to the Ur-Quan. The Galactic Alliance was seen as a problem by many, it was causing more problems than it was of use. And because of these factors, they casted the whole rogue issue aside for now, and concentrated on matters that were more pressing for them. The time for war would come, but it is not yet upon them.

The rogues do not even pose a threat to the other Ur-Quan, only to other sentient life forms. At least until the first Doctrinal War will begin. The leaders of the Hierarchy thought that they still have time to do other things. More than enough. They would confront the ones who follow the Eternal Doctrine, but not just yet.
Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
14-10-2003, 18:25
They had found their next target. Unlike the ones before, these had some capability to enter space. They had mining colonies on some of the less habitable planets in their solar system. The species looked quite a lot like a subrace of humanity, but it really was not. They were humanoids, yes, but not truly hominids. The rogues would send a few ships to scout their defensive capabilities before launching an all out offensive against them.

The target civilization had very crude sensors which were easily bypassed. They seemed to have several space ships actually capable of combat and some small and crude fighter ships in those ships as well. They had some orbital defenses, but they were nothing to be worried about. Planetary defenses were mostly unknown, but what they could find through scanning were your normal AA weaponry with some small improvements. The mining colonies were not even defended, but they could be used by the followers of the Eternal Doctrine later on, if needed. At least they would get the resources already mined, if not use the mines themselves.

Once they had made sure that the space capabilities of their next target were very limited, they attacked. First would some ships jump out inside the atmosphere of the homeworld of their new target and start bombing the planet. Some would attack the mining colonies and destroy the habitable parts of those, leaving the actual mines intact. Some would also directly attack the small fleet and the orbital defense systems. This tactic had been used many times before, and it had never failed.

The attack was flawless. The planet was left in shambles, the fleet was destroyed and the mines subjugated. None of the humanoids were left alive. Damages to the fleet were minimal, but far greater than the damage done by their earlier targets. Just like those earlier targets, the humanoids knew fear for that fleeting moment, as the blood red gates opened and the pitch black ships emerged from them. They had again sent a recorded message to the target people, stating only: "We are the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah. We cleanse our destiny. You will soon die. Make whatever rituals are necessary for your species."

Because of the mines that were already in place, their own strip mining operations would be done much faster than normally. They had only destroyed the habitable areas in those colonies, the mines themselves were very much automated. Their fleet grows larger and larger every time they destroy sentient species, and this is the reason.
Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
14-10-2003, 19:47
The followers of the Eternal Doctrine had formed a rigid Hierarchy, similar to the Hierarchy created by the ones who do not follow the said doctrine. Instead of implementing anything from the new system, they used the old Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah workings that had been tested and proven successful over the millennia of continuous warfare. They call themselves Death, first of them being Death 1. He has ultimate power over the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah rogues, he is the ultimate leader, until he dies that is. Assassinations are not unknown in the old Hierarchy. They do not believe in absolute death, though, they believe in rebirth. "Indeed, you fail to understand: there is no death. Only termination and rebirth."

They have told other beings of their horrible past, as they know that the others would not survive long enough to tell that story to anyone. It does somewhat explain their actions, but no one who knows the story lives on, with the exception of the Ur-Quan. Where ever they go, nothing is left alive. That is their nature.

((OOC: Have I forgotten to tell that it is possible to RP in this thread, even if this isn't going to turn in to a space war RP? Well, I'll say it now: It IS possible to RP here! As long as you keep your fleets small enough (single ships recommended), as it's hardly possible for people to actually know of the Kohr-Ah presence here. Or anywhere they go.))
Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
14-10-2003, 23:35
They were close to finishing the mining process, and most of the ships already had their cargo holds full of materials needed for ship building. Again, something gigantic jumped out of HyperSpace, almost as it were overlooking the process. Ships would come to it and unload their cargo. The mining was going quite well, no problems were reported or detected. No other species were there but the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah, as the local sentients had been wiped out. Not many even knew of their existence.

They were fast, yes. But still, they were behind in their schedule on building their massive fleet. It is quite possible that they would soon have to start mining in systems with no unique sentient life in them. They might have to settle with destroying spacestations and different bases instead of whole planets. With that comes a risk, a risk they know of. What if they attack a well defended system? A system that could get reinforced quickly? That is a risk they have to take, if they are to build their fleet even larger. Which is what they must do.
Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
16-10-2003, 16:40
They stayed in the system for quite some time after leeching it empty. They waited for something to arrive. It seemed like no one had realized that they were here. No one seemingly cared of their... Exploits. Their killings have gone unpunished, and soon they would have something that would make them stronger.

Their agents in the other, "traitorous" Hierarchy, had stolen something worth their while, and they were close. Very close. HyperSpace was not that large, and through it was possible to move untold distances very quickly. They knew what the agents had stolen. They knew that their agents were bringing tech readouts for shields. Those would ultimately make their ships even harder to destroy. It would now only take hours until they would have the needed technology in their hands.

OOC: Well in that case...

IC: The Nightshadow support fighter was flying in orbit around the FNS region (Flying Nation in the Sky). Out of no where, a large red portal appeared. The Nightshadow swung around to meet whatever was coming through the hellish looking warp gate. The navigator looked warily at the pilot. "Hey man, I don't think that's such a good idea..."

"Oh come on, don't be a coward, I wanna see what's coming through that thing. It looks awsome. Besides, we're supposed to check out any unusual disturbances right?"

"I suppose."

"We're just following orders."

"Yeah, I guess."

The Nightshadow continued it's course. The pilot watched it in awe, expecting the red gate to be getting closer, but the size of it just seemed to expand forever. Suddenly a huge black hulk began to emerge from it. The pilot shreiked in fear as a message was broadcast to the fighter. "We are the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah. Our nature, the fulfillment of our fate, requires your destruction"

In shear panic, he swung the fighter around. A feeling of an ungodly evil welled up inside of him. He knew the end was near, it was too late to send a goodbye to family friends, his thoughts cut short...

The agents had returned. Truly, they held such technological advancements that would prove useful in their chosen path. They would stay in the system long enough to start the refitting process, and that would not take too long. It is weird how simply the things were done. It was absolutely amazing that a Kohr-Ah would have come up with something like this. Even if they thought that their brethren were traitors, they felt proud.

The massive machine in the center of the fleet detected something... Something small... In the distance. It was the Takian destroyer. They would send two ships to counter it, to rip it apart. The ships jumped into HyperSpace. Their destiny was not to be disturbed.

Our nature, the fulfillment of our fate, requires your destruction."

A single ship that had left from the original Hierarchy was seeking the followers of the Eternal Doctrine. The pilot of the ship had detected something very small in TrueSpace. He would smite it down, as a show of his heritage, his nature. He would not stay much longer there, he would only destroy the fighter and leave. It would also work as a test, a test on how well the Ur-Quan weapons work on these, "local" ships, as they call them.

His ship was the size of a frigate, and it would not be enough to attack a whole fleet of ships alone. He would have to make sure that the fighter would not survive. Even if they are fanatic, they are not stupid.

A Valiant 7 Class Battlecruiser, The Steel Feather, Launched from base into the atmosphere accompanied by four Nightshadows. They began picking up faint signals of something leaving the space around them, but it was gone. The radar picked up small bleeps, a pilot of the Steel Feather vomited at the site of two mutilated bodies among the debris of the Nightshadow...

The disc he had used did not even disintegrate as it had penetrated the small fighter craft. He let it float there, in the air, almost like it was disregarding all laws of physics. It spinned violently as the ship took it back. But before anyone could react, he had jumped back into HyperSpace, leaving debris here and there. No one would know what had hit it. Only the dead, shredded corpses had witnessed the thing in all of its might.

A human might consider this pointless, a sign of madness even, but for a follower of the Eternal Doctrine, even a single kill is a victory on its own. They are Filth. They must be cleansed. There is no death, only extermination and rebirth.

Onboard the bridge of the Kanuckistani destroyer KHGV Blood of Saints, Captain D'vires idly surveyed his command's bridge; noting here and there where wear visibly displayed the ship's age, despite the efforts of her dedicated engineers. He wondered breifly what his ship would look like after it's first refit in over a decade; her first major overhaul in half a century. Just one more mission, and the old girl would be off to the heart of Kanuckistan's new home, and a few years after that, she'd be ready to serve her people for another century.

"Sir," a NavOps officer reported, "Capasitors have recharged to nominal levels; we're ready to displace to the GYS-219085."

"New ECM package is online, sir."

"Good; displace when ready."

There was only silence aboard the Steel Feather now, all horrified at what lay before them. The cruiser dispatched a cleanup crew to retrieve what was left of the men and their ship. Thank God the cleanup crew was made up of robots, it would have made even the most experienced soldier retire to see the devastation up close. The bodies, or what was left of them, would have to be identified and returned to the families of course. Whoever...whatever did this would have to pay. Pointless murder was, well, pointless. Unnatural. Vulgar. All these things spiraled through the minds of the crew and the pilots of the escorts.

"Sir."

"Yes?"

"We have retrieved..."

"what"

"we have..."

"Spit it out soldier." The soldier brought forth a box.
"The cleanup crew managed to salvage this. I...I think you should hear this sir." The box was similar to that of black boxes among planes, but recorded transmissions to and from the ship as well as sounds from inside it. The commander pressed the access code cautiously and it began to play. He expected something bad, but nothing like what he heard.

"Hey man, I don't think that's such a good idea..."
"Oh come on, don't be a coward, I wanna see what's coming through that thing. It looks awsome. Besides, we're supposed to check out any unusual disturbances right?"
"I suppose"
"We're just following orders."
"Yeah, I guess."
"Wow, look at that thing..."
"Oh man..."
"We are the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah. Our nature, the fulfillment of our fate, requires your distruction."
"Oh my god!"
"What the hell did you do man! Look what you got us into now-oh shit. Oh shit man turn around go!"
"I'm tryin'!"
"Wha-AHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"That's enough!" Shouted the commander. "I've heard enough..." He sank down into his chair in exastperation.

"What should I do with it sir?"

"Put it in the storage. We've got to get back to HQ with this."

The small group turned course and went back to the Riokian Space Fleet Headquarters. It was time to find out what had killed the pilots...

((OOC: OK, Kanuckistan. Taka, waiting for your next post. And to everyone: There are two (actually three, but I'm ignoring the last one called Ur Quan Kohr-Ah out of necessity) Kohr-Ah factions, both with their own beliefs. This is a thread about the hostile one, of the followers of the Eternal Doctrine. Obvious enough, right? The other thread is here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=64217), that's about the not hostile ones. At some point, the two threads might "combine" into a war thread. I will tell more later, if needed. But let me assure you, it's not going to be your every day civil war, if/when it happens. IC:

"interesting" the captian, an older man with one good eye and no good intentions stated flatly "I'm seeing warp disturbances, turn shields up to full, I don't want this ship scratched if we can help it, they've been looking for an excuse to retire me and my ship for years, lets keep them from getting one."

"aye sir, but there is something you should see, its almost. . . like a ship is coming through."

"what? but we've not detected any hailing signals, dispatch the scouts, see what is out there."

"aye sir"

Klaxon bells rang through the ship, and the two pilots lept from bed, itching for something other than the monotononous, ever lasting patrols. They raced one anouther to the hatches, armored suits already on and fastened, and snapped the air helms on even as they scurried up the tubes, out of the pseudo gravitational field and into the mored ships. Like young on a mother, the two scouts slipped off, following her for a moment, before they flew over the bridge and towards the unseen ambush.

"This is Alpha I, I don't see anything but scanners indicate there is a ship at extreme range, permision to scout ahead sir?"

"roger that, but turn your HPD fields on, don't want any problem from debris, scout, reply and return, if its worht while we'll see if we can't salvage something from it."

The pilots nodded, turring the HPD fields on at minimum power, before rocketing off towards the waiting hulk.

((OOC info, HPD fields, or Hudson Effect Point Deflector fields are designed to stop meteor impacts and debris, they are also effective against kinetic shots, but at low power, will most likely not stop a determined attack))

IC: Little did the people in the Takian ship know, as two Marauders were soon going to attack it. First, would one jump out in front of it, sending a recorded, ominous message: "FILTH! You may not approach the Sa-Matra! Your death was inevitable, BUT NOW IT IS ALSO IMMINENT!" The Takians did not know that what they had seen a glimpse of was the feared Sa-Matra, rebuilt, in all its glory. Something they should not have seen. The pitch black Marauder shot a sixty meter wide bladed disc, made of some unknown alloy, towards the ship in an attempt to rend it.

((OOC: Taka, I will wait for your response, and continue then.))

"HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!! DEFLECTORS AT FU. . ."

the cry was cutshort by the disk slamming through the ship, ripping easily through the shields. The second ship managed to turn its HEPD fields to full power, the generators crackling to life as a hum and a flicker of light cascaded around the ship.

"This is Alpha 2, we are under attack, repeat, we are under. . . oh sweet mother of mercy. . ."

The scoutship swung around, dodging anouther massive disk, but the monolithic Marauder was upon it. The Takian scout charged weapons, but was like a mosquito biting at an oxen. A disk caught it head on, disentergrating against the shields and sending the ship spiraling out of countrol as electrical fires licked through the circutry. The pilot ejected the canopy and struggled free of his chair, the rapid depresureization activating his suit born homing beacon, and he jetted from it, heading towards the Maruader, hoping to escape notice till the fleet could be summoned.

"Sir. . . the scouts. . . they. . . they have vanished. . . "

"what?"

"they just ceased to exist, we are getting a beacon from Alpha 2, but Alpha 1 has been destroyed. . . sir, shouldn't we call for help?"

"no, not yet" the captian said "take us in, shields and HEPD fields at full, charge all weapons, and blast anything not Takian to free floating atoms."

The ship turned towards the waiting Mauraders, its old generators wirring to life and throwing a cascade of sparks through the engine room. ready for battle, the old war bird flew on, oblivious to wlhat lay ahead, save that whatever it was, it was not friendly.

((OOC: It wasn't trying to destroy the scouts with that, it tried to ram the destroyer itself. But I guess that is alright. A Marauder is 240 meters long, about 80 meters wide, and 60 meters high. The reason why the weapon can be so large for a ship of its size is mostly because it's controlled by a single being, dropping the needed amount of living quarters, kitchens and other facilities to a minimum. They don't play games in their ships, unlike humans. They basically live in the cockpit-sort.))

IC: The second Marauder jumped in behind the destroyer and yet again was a disc shot, this time at the ship's engines. Their HyperSpace engines had been honed to almost extreme accuracy, and this why their attacks are so precise, even when they have just jumped. The other ship on the other hand, that had destroyed the scouts, started moving directly for the destroyer... Closing in on it, fast, but not firing. As if it was making sure it could get a clear shot on it.

IC:

The remaning Pilot flew his jump towards teh Maurader, his personal AI keeping up with it as he searcehd for something to force an entrance. . . he pulled a small plasma charge and a pisol, not much, but better than nothing, and began to attach the charge towards the rear, praying that it would open a passage large enough for him to force an entrance.

* * * * *

The aging destoryer took the full blast of the disk, sending her carrening wildly, knocking the captian from his helm. . .

"son of a drunken Squill!" He bellowed, "Turn us around, give her a broadside, and open a chanel to that gutted Agrol whore's bastard love child"

The engine room streamed to life, automatic fire defence systems crackling to life and filling the generator room with a thick fire retardant foam, the shields flickered, and for a moment, it looked as if the generators would give, but they held and the Captian looked with maniacle glee as the ship slowly moved to its side.

"Captain, Chanel open."

"What in the Prince's name do you think you are doing, taking on the Takian Navy, Prepare to meet your defiled ancestors you dog face bootlicking magot!"

Slowly the ship turned, her outdated AI slow to pick up the trace on the first, much less notice the second ship rapidly closing in.

"What in the Prince's name do you think you are doing, taking on the Takian Navy, Prepare to meet your defiled ancestors you dog face bootlicking magot!"

Yet another monotonous, almost certainly recorded message was sent from the ship: "Over five thousand races have made such a claim. We survived. They did not. Nor shall you."

The second ship almost rammed the aged destroyer. It almost looked like the Marauder had bursted into flames, but no, it was something else. A sudden burst, like a miniature supernova, was released from the Marauder. It was moving towards all directions, fast, easily burning the pilot who was attempting to breach the said Marauder. A consuming, fiery inferno. The Marauder behind the destroyer shot another volley, again towards its engines. Both of the Marauders had taken some shots, but their armors were withstanding them quite well. The old ship could not match a nightmare. It was almost like the ships were playing with the destroyer.

The Steel Feather and it's escorts returned to the HQ. As it landed, the crew could see the men and women below looking up anxiously from their jobs and posts. It had been quite some time since a Valiant 7 had been sent for anything. They knew it had to have been a large breach of security. It came to a soft hiss, and then landed on the platform. The crew just stood for a moment, knowing what they would face once they got outside. The doors opened and the ramps were attatched. One by one the crew filtered of the various exits on the large ship. Being 533.3 yards long and 300 yards wide, the unloading would take about an hour or more.

The commander, Lanh Holck, stepped from the ship. He blinked as his eyes re-adjusted to the light. He carried the box, and ignored the press around him. Damn it, how did they get in here? He continued his walk down to the cheif of space operations where he played the horrifying thing.

Immediate action was taken, allies notified, databases searched, and any misterious "accidents" looked into. They soon found a grouping of planets that had all been decimated some time before, now lonely volcanic worlds. A decision was made, a fleet had to be sent to these worlds, data had to be taken on what had been done to them. Within a day two Valiant 7 classes, the Steel Feather and the Shadow, and an escort of 50 Nightshadows each launched for two now desolate worlds...

"You will taste our fury!" The captian bellowed, dropping his hand in the signal to launch torpedeos. In a silvered streak, 6 plasma torpedeos fly from each side, homing in on teh closest Mauraders, while the front locks onto the larger of the ships, letting loose 3 fusion torpedos, the rightly feared right hand of any Admiral worth his commision. A wild smile crossed his lips as he watched the sliver bolts of death rip through the sky.

The nova engulfed the plasma torpedoes shot at the Marauder, causing minimal armor damage. The other Marauder did the same thing, minimizing damage to it as well. The one closer would then shoot a disc from point blank range and the other still tried to shoot at the ship's engines. Weirdly, the one he had shot earlier did apparently almost no damage.

Suddenly, several beams of light were detected from the general direction of the larger enemy group. The ships jumped back to HyperSpace, and there was nothing in between the massive machine and the destroyer. The other ships that had moved around it had stopped, and went out of the way as well. This time, they were serious. Did the people in the destroyer really think that they had any chances to survive? The first, smaller beams would only strike at the fusion torpedoes. Then, there would be many, many larger ones, attempting to finally rip the ship apart.

The playtime had ended. They had other things to do now. The refit process had begun. The ones in the destroyer were completely out of luck, and the Kohr-Ah would show no mercy. They now had more ships in HyperSpace, waiting to clean up the mess. Nothing would be left of it, in the end.

((OOC: The whole point of the blades on the disc is to make it bore in to the armor/hull of a ship. I'll show you a picture of them, lookie here (http://sensori.soldats.net/kuvia/kohrah/kohr-ah.jpg). "BLOODY HELL!!!" The captain bellowed, "Get us out of here now!"

The fold generators warmed up as the first disk struck the shields, the HEPD fields shunting it off, but with a final shudder, the generators burst into flames. The second disk tore through the sublight engines, sending a blast of plasma from the ruptored generator through the ship, in an instant incenerating everone aboard. The generator kicked in, tearing the badly damaged destroyer from the firestorm, a floating tomb, heading towards the shipyards, wiht only its AI and badly singed memory spools to tell what little tale they could. Flashes of the battle, and a single picture of the Maurader were all that was left, that, and the voice with its dread warning.

They had failed in destroying the puny little spacecraft. How was that possible? The FILTH had left the system with their ship intact! Maybe they should rethink their strategies? The whole fleet jumped into HyperSpace, and they would now seek a new target. The refitting process was going on well. They had destroyed fleets much stronger than that destroyer, and letting it go was unforgivable. Even if no life signs were detected from it when it left. The Eternal Doctrine was fulfilled, yes, the annihilation of the alien ship was not.

Even if Death 1 has the ultimate power over all, there is one who has power that exceeds that of Death 1. They had already found their next underdeveloped target. They had jumped out of HyperSpace, and they were ready to attack at any moment, but something was different. A ship had jumped out of HyperSpace behind them. That ship was hailing them. It was an Ur-Quan design, a Dreadnought, as black as the Marauders. Transmissions were sent and received. The Dreadnought soon left.

The rogue fleet was alone again, but it was not advancing on the habitated planet. Soon, they jumped into HyperSpace, almost as if they were following the ship that had left. What had happened to make this change of heart? They left the planet unharmed. Something grave must have happened.

The Takian controler on duty hailed the destoryer, but could not raise the crew. A slight sence of panic rose in him, growing to the point of hysteria when he saw the shattered and crushed remains of the destroyer. Repair crews flooded the hatches, preparing to hoist in and investigate the tomb, while they tried in vain to decipher the strange signals from the data banks.

The officer on duty shook his head, the ship was to be decommtioned soon enough, and the loss of a destroyer was nothing new, still, the signs of heavy impacts being absorbed by the HEPD fields, as well as the massive disk jammed into the plasma generators was something to worry about. . . a new threat was on the horizion for the Takian empire. . . and they would be forced to fight once more.

The fleet following the Shadow slowed and began circling the barren volcanic planet below. Scanners showed no signs of intelligent life, if any life at all. Weather patterns seemed odd, a trace of weather not to different from Earth was in the air. A shocking thought filled the mins of the crew. Whatever did this had annihalated an entire race of beings. Eradicating and sucking up every last resource they could get their hands, or whatever they had, on.

The Shadow lowered itself closer to the planet's surface, there was no need to touch down. Two Crossbow transports launched from the rear of the ship, each carrying twelve scientists and thirteen soldiers.

Reaching the surface itself, the Crossbows touched down and set up camp while the small fleet orbited in space. Before setting off, the crewmen all donned mask filters, there was un unimaginable amount of toxins in the air. Little was left to examine. Very little. A chasm that may have been a river bed at one point, a gully that would have been shockingly beautiful. There was nothing to see here. Only death. They should have known this is what they would find, expecially after what they had seen done to their fighter.

The expedition lasted less than five hours, and the crew soon packed up and left again. It just didn't make any sense. No sign of struggle, no bodies, no weapon blast marks, nothing. The Shadow took off once more to rejoin the fleet with the Steel Feather. They would continue expeditions elsewhere, hopefully they would find something there.

All was lost. They had lost the Doctrinal War (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=83579), and were transported to a planet in Alpha Horologii. All of their warships were decimated, their databanks and ship factories were seized and their whole way of life had crumbled down. It was a small price to pay for their crimes, but they cannot see it.

Soon, there would be no "Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah" anymore, other than as a name of a humbled faction of Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah. Would they once again follow the Eternal Doctrine remains to be seen. But for now, they had lost everything.

The rogues had lost the Doctrinal War, they were not a problem anymore, their delusions had been broken. Still, there was something that was not quite right. Hierarchy ships had noticed objects, unidentified vessels that were of Ur-Quan design. They had always vanished as quickly as they had appeared. No response, nothing, only a split second and they were gone. This had happened to scouts, exploring space far away from Ur-Quan territories. The Ur-Quan could be certain of one thing: Something had fallen through the cracks.

The Eternal Doctrine had survived.
Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
02-01-2004, 12:45
Not only survived, it had. In fact, if you now compared the fleets of the followers of the Eternal Doctrine and the followers of the renewed doctrines, the Eternal Doctrine would be dominant. They had left the confines of the forsaken planet they had been placed on, after building enough larger ships to accomodate the few Ur-Quan that would not have a ship to use, or some other duty to fill.

As they left the planet behind them, a great deal of ships joined them, and the Ur-Quan systems were left practically undefended, orbital defenses excluded. They were lucky, though, as they were able to leave a good while before the Sa-Matra and the fleet still loyal to the renewed doctrines returned. Nothing would stand in their way this time, and they would not fall for the same trick again.
Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah

They had found their way into a dead system. It was such by their own hands. Several planets there had teemed with life, sentient life, but they all were silenced. What was left was volcanic rubble, the planets had reverted back to what they had been so long ago. The followers of the Eternal Doctrine were not too picky when mining planets for the resources they would need in their Mission. There were many systems like this that they had visited in their earlier... Travels. Nothing was left there, nothing but the stench of death.

But this place was different. The rogues would stay here for a while, gathering what they had hidden here. Even if they were certain that they would win the War, they were not stupid enough to bring their resources to their treacherous brethren, no. The rogues would now use them to rebuild their already quite large fleet. No one would stand against them and win. Not this time.
Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah
04-01-2004, 11:26
They had already started loading their cargo ship-equivalents with the precious resources they would need to continue their Mission. Without the Sa-Matra, they are vulnerable. They need more ships to make up for the loss of their so called base, although they already had a considerable number of Marauders, Dreadnoughts and some other ships.

Now that the process was under way, it would not take long for them to finish it. Soon they would continue the Cleansing, their Mission. Other sentients would know fear, fear unlike they had ever experienced as their species are exterminated. The followers of the Eternal Doctrine would kill every single one of them. Only the Ur-Quan are allowed to live.

((OOC: This is practically why I am forced to keep killing those "imaginary enemies". The Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah don't see you as an enemy, even if you think so. They see you as Filth. They committed a continuous xenocide for 20 000 years exterminating over a five thousand species, and now some of them are continuing on that path. But will anyone accept the fact that they are what they are? No. Will anyone accept their power? No. It's easy to answer the question "why" too.

The best, and easiest example of this to find is the incident with the "aging Takian destroyer", that should've been destroyed by the first attack, but it still got away, even if with nothing was left alive in it, but at least he accepted the loss of that ship... As that's the MOST they have been able to do, which is just idiotic. Which is why they attack nations that don't exist. There is nothing in between. If they happened to attack an empire of some sort, they would destroy it completely, and then go onto the next one.

You might wonder why I haven't made a thread where people would sign up to fight them, and the answer is simple. They wouldn't attack some pre-designated target which people would know to defend, and they change targets so often that it would be near to impossible to know where they would hit next. They are, basically, in a state of war with everyone all the time, and almost no one even knows about their existence.

You could call it the epitome of xenophobia, and it has its roots in the distant past. They don't breed quite as fast as humans, so the population is really a lot lower than what the NS thing says.

But this is the last thing I say to you, and I don't expect you to answer.))

-- but maybe a part of my scattered fleet could end up near your planet.

((OOC: They don't stay in any one place for long, and they've left the place already.))

IC: Everything was ready now, and they tore their way into HyperSpace. They remembered now... There was something close by, they had intercepted their transmissions. Another species they would exterminate with ease, although it would have the privilege of being the first one this time. The Filth needed to be cleansed. All of the Filth needs to be cleansed, but there were many sentients for them to annihilate, even before attacking any of the more advanced ones.

They had found the system, and eliminated every living creature inside it that was not Ur-Quan. They were even less advanced than expected, and were easily taken out, but this system would once again work as a place to mine, repair damage and build new ships. Such is the way of the followers of the Eternal Doctrine.

It would not take long anymore to strip mine the system practically empty of everything usable, but this was not all, not this time. There was something strange about this system. They had found artifacts on one of the planets they had not destroyed, artifacts distinctively of Ur-Quan design. They had not been here long enough before to drop anything there, nor had they any knowledge of their brethren being there. And the artifacts were obviously thousands of years old.

The evidence was clear: There has been some sort of Ur-Quan activity on the planet, if not even a settlement of some kind. Does that mean that there are other Ur-Quan in this universe, other than they themselves, they did not know. Obviously there has been, at some point, a species that was almost identical to the Ur-Quan here.

OOC:
Wow; I lost track of this thread shortly after my last post way back.

If you'd like to fight someone, you can always see if people would be willing to spawn you some purpose-built fodder in exchange for a decent fight; say an independent colony world or the ilk, that no one would care about loosing.

They knew that they would not have been able to keep themselves out of sight with such massive numbers, so they split their fleet in three different, equally sized fleets. No one would be able to eradicate them completely if successful in destroying one of the fleets. They would always live on to exterminate other species.

The fleets work as separate entities who act alone, but they also cooperate with each other if needed, to bring the others into the fray as well. This way none of the fleets would ever truly be overwhelmed by any enemy, and at their best, they would be able to destroy several species at once instead of bringing death to only one.

After the fleets had met up with each other once again, they could only come to one conclusion: changing their strategy is the only way. They would act as if they were benign, as if they were their brethren. They knew that with treachery, they would claim the Galaxy from the Filth. And they knew just the place where to start. The Ur-Quan databanks told of a colony, deep within Filth infested space.

Mars. They would recreate the Ur-Quan colony that was built on Mars. It had been apparently destroyed by Ur-Quan hands later on, as their spies knew to tell them. Listen, observe. Yes, that they would do. They would learn the weaknesses of the Filth that had grown into a threat. Act as if they were their friends, and cleanse them when the time would be right.

And there they were now, on Mars, unhindered, rebuilding the colony. One of the fleets had been given this... Opportunity to bring their presence into one of the greatest concentrations of Filth in known space. Only one nation there, on the planet, had even become interested in them, and even that interest was, apparently, lost quite quickly. Now it would be - almost - too late to attempt to get rid of them, at least without causing damage to the planet itself.

The leadership of the followers of the Eternal Doctrine was pleased. Their ability to cleanse the Filth in this part of the Galaxy would become much better after the Ur-Quan have observed them. The Ur-Quan would find their weaknesses and exploit them. Yes, that was how they would act.

But it would take time, and the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah were not known for their patience.
