The play goes as follows, (More to come as I write it)
Act I Scene 1
::Enter Chorus::
Chorus:
Erie Kingdom is the set's final name
where this great tale begins to shape and form.
The fates unite to duel for glor'us fame,
and the people live, die and are reborn.
An young dukeling ascending to his prime
the younger ones does he decide to teach
but the children in not their merry time
take from him the learning within their reach.
For in this land a war does brew of hate,
and men and demons over souls debate.
::Exunt Chorus::
::Enter Euphus and Kreipus::
Euphus:
Our master would sure dislike our being
out on such an unpleasant day in town.
I can think of little excuse for him
to explain our continued absence.
Kreipus:
Hush!
He shall not care that we are gone from him.
He craves his sleep and talks to walls at will.
Wherefor do we need to speak now to walls?
Am I to erect a monument just
to hear it speak vague prophecy to me?
For sooth! I would erect my wooden pole,
and let the ladies of town prophesy
to my life, happiness and rich fortune.
Euphus:
Mayhapse I shall a monument erect,
if but for a reason given in gold.
::Enter Erica::
Here is Erica, daughter of Manfred.
The most prosperous man of all the world
has less power than he in free affairs.
Erica:
Good morrow Euphus, I trust you are well.
Euphus:
Indeed I am, fair made of my master.
He wishes to see you if he now may,
your consent to marriage he wants your say.
Erica:
My land is not one so easily picked.
He shall not have me upon my free life.
My choice it is whether I be not his,
my man is Manfred, the pow'rful and true.
Kripus:
Nay, your man is false, not letting us free.
We will lay siege to you, lest you to him
flee.
::Enter Clansman::
Clansman:
Halt! She has the freedom of her choice.
Lay aside your squabbling with this woman,
or I your sword must first be bloodied clean.
She shall chose her own path in this battle,
blood shall not be spilt o'er her choice today.
Euphus:
I see we cans't not win this gloried day,
come with me Kripus we are now away.
::Exunt with Kripus::
Clansman:
You are safe for today from these mad men.
I fear for your safety from their master.
Edvard is not a patient man in all,
he is like to sieze you by force alone.
Erica:
Protect me I hope, as you have just now.
Lest I fall to them, forsaking Manfred.
Clansman:
No fear, thou art safe at my guarded side.
Should they come, I would be ready for them.
No man has yet tested my might and won,
(aside) yet I admit, no man has lost either.
no matter
I await thee, off we go!
::Exunt all::
