Controversial Court Trial
Today at 3:00PM, police raided a church that was holding services for children under 10. This was in direct violation of the courts decision after Sturmm vs Stuhl, which determined that churches could only hold services for people over 17 years of age.
The parents were arrested, for they were at the church leading their children on. The ministers have also been arrested. The children have been placed in foster care. The ministers will be charged with Manipulating a Child, Child Engangerment, Child Abuse, and Religious Conduct. The parents will be charged with child abuse and religious conduct.
The Trial will be in a few hours.
If you would like some advice: Change the laws this might get you in a heap of trouble with some religious and large nations

The father is still throwing some of his bias into it. It could be anything from politics, social stuff, and anything. In my opinion the state can't impose on the parent's right to bring up their own children.
In our nation, parents are basically only supposed to care for the children. Education is done by the state. The parents and the ministry broke several laws, and will be punished for it.

I think that, these children had been in church right? well maybe these children wanted to enlighten themselves with the teachings of the church and i dont think that the government has a right to say whos old enough to go to church or not.

Free will is controlled by your ideals. A parent sets a childs ideals. These parents broke the law by teaching their children their religion, and they are going to be punished for it. They were in no way forced to stay in Attica if they did not want to, but they decided to stay and break the law.

Trial Begins. Their is no jury, as no trial in Attica has a jury (Juries screw up proceedings so bad, so many obvious criminals in RL get away with crimes because of juries.). There is a single unbiased judge (it is easy to file a claim of bias against a judge to get a new one.).
The states prosecutor makes a strong point about Attican legalities and the fact that the families could have emigrated if they so pleased.
The Defense attorney said that the family were excersising their rights, albeit breaking the law. There was some laughter in the seats upon hearing this.

As the defense makes it's closing statements, the courtroom is emptied. 15 minutes later, the judge calls the people back in.
"I have made my decision. The parents in this case were in obvious conflict with known Attican laws, and were given many options to bypass these laws, but refused to take them. The parents are each sentenced to 10 years at Attisca State Prison. The ministers, although, were not in violation of as many statutes, plus, it is unknown whether they were blackmailed or not into teaching the students. If the ministers will accept the governments offer of unteaching their teachings to the students, we will let them stay in the Attican Empire unhindered. If they refuse, they will be deported."
